@bunkai Oh my goodness, thank you for that. I forgot to make it public!
No problem.
I didn't expect a clicker game, but it was relaxing to play :D. I enjoyed it. Also, the aesthetics and the wild west music give an interesting aura.
Wow those animations at the last scene are fun! I appreciate that there is a beginning, middle, and end. I played the web version but couldn't play on Safari (switched over to Google Chrome).
@nikolai-shkurkin Thanks! Because there's no time, I wasn't able to make the attack and cast animations. The battle would have been more interesting.
Fun little game! I love how the sound effects go so well with the music. I also love the ending. I just wish you'd put in an instruction that 'Space' was the button to open the shop. I let the game go on for quite a while before I figured out how to open it. Other than that, great job!
casual battle with a pickaxe against a demon in a cursed labyrinth, thanks for the experience, was a fun little game :)
A fun game with a nice visualisation of creating mazes. Also a nice story line, especially when the enemy kills you! Great work!
Interesting Idea, I defenitely like the concept and the way you've done it. Great work!
I was a little bit confused in the beginning thinking that I was watching a tutorial on the mechanics but after pressing the space bar it made sense. COngrats on implementing the algorithm to explore the maze! and the music was nice.
@mikdionio Actually, the shop will open only when the dialog "A magical shop?" appears and you confirm (Spacebar/Enter) it.
@marbles oh I did see that, I just didn't think to press anything when I did.
@mikdionio I just realized now that I forgot to put a prompt below the dialog so players know they need to press Spacebar. Aaah it sucks that I forgot that important part when I was cleaning up.
@marbles it's fine, its a simple fix and I still enjoyed your game :)
@jonas-michael @arthur-paulino @seskon @mikdionio Thanks for your feedbacks! It sucks that I forgot the prompt for the dialogs when I was cleaning up.
@jonas-michael I'm eager to know if players will actually follow the demon's advice for the first time. I'm glad you got to the good ending! :)
@marbles naw, I forgot to use the potion and just died xD
Interesting game; was completely stuck when I first opened the locket and it just says Kukuku.. Left it running for a while until I got the escape rope. Wish I'd stocked up on potions first.
At first I thought it was a simple clicker game, but you really made it special with a nice narrative. The graphics are simple yet effective, the music is great and the last battle was cool.
I enjoyed the narrative, graphics, and game play of the game. It was super satisfying watching the player rapidly clear the levels. I just wish the last fight of the game was a little harder. Perhaps adding a cap to how much potions the player could buy so they would have to use them carefully.
@isac yeah, the battle would have been more interesting but sadly there was not much time left.
I’m kinda confused by this game. Am I just supposed to be watching the player complete these levels? I would like to be engaged more with the game.
@snowinn It's an incremental game. Just continue on with the dialogs, you won't be watching for the whole game. It's actually more of story than gameplay.
Was that the... Epic Battle Fantasy game over sound? Am I going insane? Also, that was a very unusual and interesting game. I have to admit watching a depth first search repeat for minutes on end wasn't the most engaging experience, but when it turned out to actually have combat my mind was kind of blown.
@tree3 Yes it's from that game but I saw that it's public domain. Got it from gamesounds.xyz.
The incremental + combat is something I've been pondering about. I want to expand on it in the future :)
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
I didn't get how to advance in the game... I got the locket and there is a prompt saying "Kukukuku" then it just continues... Could you tell me the way to continue because I'm hyped to see the battle!
Edit: Okay I just had to wait longer haha!
I would have preferred a better idle aspect and less narration into it though the combat aspect was pretty nice with the interaction with enemy's projectile!
@doc-moustache Just continue, a few moments after it appears (3 more mazes after it has appeared) a new dialog will appear. I'm not very proud of the battle since it doesn't have much mechanics due to not having much time left. haha
I like incremental games. This one is cool and doesn't took my whole life to finish... Good job
nice little game. I was so confused when i first loaded it up :D but thats probably just me :)
This was fun to play, the locket bit was a bit confusing. I thought I missed something or had to click something. I was surprised by the battle, good job!
Got stuck in the 'Kukuku' phase :( (waited at least 10+ mazes)
That was a fun game! The battle at the end was a really nice change from the standard incremental gameplay and twist after winning the fight was a nice surprise. The graphics and music work well. The design of the boss was really quite good also.
@kpedatte Yes, of course! I don't think people have time for incremental games on game jams. I reduced the costs to make sure it's finished quickly.
@xorb I think I got what I wanted from people. I want them to wonder what's happening. I wanted the game to unfold :)
@doc-moustache I focused more on the story cause I don't think people have time for idle aspect in game jams. Guess you're the exception.
@spotline When that message appears, after 3 mazes, a new dialog will appear.
@layne-stokes Did you also try to follow the demon's advice? Do that and you get the good ending :)
@marbles I waited a lot more than 3 mazes and got no other dialog than kukuku
@spotline Did you press space/enter? The dialog has to disappear first. If the dialog has already disappeared then that could be a weird bug.
@marbles I did !
@marbles I did get both endings! Both were great in their own way
@spotline Huh, that's weird. Did you try restarting the game?
@marbles I didn't, i'll try again later !
@marbles Ok it's good this time. I think my problem was that i kept reopening the locket "just in case" and probably restarting the conversation and the timer each time .... Anyway very cool entry I'm not a big fan of idle games but i liked the story and the disruption. Good atmosphere and music. Nice ending too !
Wow this game was full of surprises!
I didn't read the description and from looking at the screenshot I expected some kind of game where you control a player to reach an exit.
Then I realized this was just a fun little clicker/idle game (At least thats what I thought). While playing I realized there was a story playing out. And then I was surprised again by a boss battle. After finishing the game I wanted to rate it and then read in the comments that there was a second ending (yet another pleasant suprise). So I had to try it out as well (thanks for adding the options to replay just the boss battle)!
I am really impressed by what you managed to create in such a short time!
I had a lot of fun playing your game and would be happy if you could try out our game as well!
Hey! great game! really fun to play. The only think i don't understand is what i did after opening the locket. It appeared a text in red, and then nothing.. I kept waiting and reopening the locket. I got almost 200 pots haha. Then suddenly a rope appeared and i found the final boss. Really fun game! but idk why it took so long to me to find the boss.
Cute visualization of the maze traversing (and, well, generation), and a clicker! (sort of, without the initial real clicking stage). Also the music was very good, I liked it too, made a nice mood, great job. Although the theme connection is only by being a clicker itself I guess?
Also I bought like 600 potions.. Why? idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And tip of the hat to you for providing the web version, and also godot  :)
Interesting idea.. a game that basically plays itself.
I wasn't exepting a clicker game ! That was fun, the final battle is unexpected too with a good design for the final boss.
Good job !
I like the idea of a clicker game for a jam, but at the beginning it's not obvious that I play such a game. Also, dialogue interaction is pretty strange.
very innovative, the music is wonderful it blends perfectly, I would recommend working in the future on graphics as this game is very good
@spotline @azagaya Ah, I see it now! You're correct @spotline, I didn't put a check if the locket was already opened so the timer keeps on resetting and the dialog will keep on appearing.
@flying-dog-fish Not sure if you're being sarcastic.
@cambryx Thanks! I figured people will want to replay the battle if they got curious what happens if they do the opposite.
@necauqua Thanks! Godot FTW! Yeah, the theme connection is the labyrinth is repeating so I made an incremental game.
Awesome game! A blast to see how my guy mines at light speed, i got a bit scared when the kukuku appeared! Soundtrack is really good and the game literally plays itself! Great job!
Okay, why not? :) Started out as a clicker game without having to click (thank god) and ended as a metaphysical journey where you have to fight some demonic beast... that just wants to help you. The ending was kinda twisted... That guy will never get out of there. The art was a bit basic, but did the job. Loved the music though, good choice. Nice short little adventure!
Keep it up.
@duke thanks! He'll get out, as long as he allows the demon to kill him haha!
@marbles I bought 100 potions and you wouldn't want them to go to waste, would you? :D No way I let that demon kill me
@duke Don't you wanna see the other ending? :(
@marbles don't worry, just joking :P already got the alternative ending. Really cool that you took your time to implement that instead of a simple game over screen!
The battle sequence at the end of this was really cool, would be cool to see more like that.
Heyo, I played your game on stream! Here's the vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765804766
Thanks for submitting your game!
@justcamh thanks for playing! I forgot to say there are two endings, you would have seen the good ending!
Very cool game, I love games where you have to do some outside-the-box thinking. It kinda reminded me of Candy Box in that way :)
Really upholds the theme in a creative way too.
Music was a little too aggressive to bear for such a long time.
After I got the good ending, the bad one seemed super upsetting :scream: But that's a good little bit of writing I guess :)
Well done :)
