Played this a few times. Notes: - My first game, my hand was all low cards and so I lost very quickly when I hit a card that was a suit I just didn't have. - The King of Diamonds seemed very powerful to have, because I could use that to clear any Hearts and just keep it in my hand and keep drawing new cards. - I don't understand why cards in your hand don't get added to your final score when you get through the deck. I think it would make more sense to have them count extra, because they're unused resources. E.g. a game where you finish with 8 cards in hand should be scored higher than a game where you finish with 3 cards in hand.

I really enjoyed this, especially the ability to peek onto the floor below to decide where to jump down! My one complaint would be, I felt it was a bit easy to accidentally drill when I was moving around.

I liked the graphics! I agree that jumping is a bit confusing; the first jump happens on key push and the second jump happens on key release

I love the aesthetic and enjoyed playing this, but I never really felt like I was making meaningful decisions - there was always a clear and correct best way to use the cards in my hand. Maybe an expanded version would have some effects that create/expend some resource, like money?

I found the controls a bit tricky because I needed a hand to move left/right, a hand to move the mouse, and a hand to jump. It would have been helpful to have W jump in addition to Space.

I enjoyed this! After three rounds, I got offered the same pact on the left and on the right, which might be a bug?

I also felt like it might have been interesting for levels to have walls, and maybe a few specific visible enemy spawn points, so I could strategize.

Physics Breaking Boxes by Temulgeh 2021-04-26T02:41:29Z

I liked the idea of a Sokoban-type game where the same blocks are reused! I don't believe I've seen that particular element before.

I enjoyed the player character changing suddenly while off-screen.

I wasn't sure if there was some way to play this better/worse than just drilling at random.

Someone's Missing... by Erik Bermudez 2021-04-26T03:18:57Z

It seems like only one clue is ever given per person, even across multiple palythroughs - I think it would be interesting to have different clues for the same person.

Hell's Gift Shop by CmdrApollo 2021-04-26T03:05:39Z

I'm a sucker for upgrade-based games, but I felt a bit frustrated that you can play this one "perfectly" and lose a round because you run out of energy instead of because you didn't play right, if that makes sense.

Thank you @rhoff95, I didn't realize I hadn't set the itch.io page to public!

Morse Caverns by LSK 2021-04-26T17:17:50Z

As a note for people who are confused (which looks like everyone): I don't want to provide hints/clues because I think the game's general ruleset is learnable through trial and error, but I would encourage people to treat the first playthrough primarily as a way to test things out and play the game a second or third time to try for a good score.

@audrey Having a way to extend your health would have been a really nice plus up! If I revisit this I would definitely try to have tiles that helped in that regard.

The door doesn't "do" anything because I didn't implement an ending, but it's meant to be the last tile and it's worth 10 points. If I had more time I would have had that result in a "You win!" type message.
