Into the Woods by KerelOlivier 2021-04-29T16:27:24Z

Pretty solid overall! I really liked the art and the sense of atmosphere. Also, while I thought the level design was fine, because of how quickly the player moves when they fall and jump, the camera felt a little too zoomed-in. Zooming out the camera would make it easier to aim for platforms below and around you.

Fallen Shovel by silkworm_sweatshop 2021-04-29T15:52:29Z

Probably the best game I've playtested so far! Level design was great, the movement was fluid and responsive, and I loved the design of the core mechanics (like how the charge serves as both a higher jump and a way to dig sideways). I wish there was a multiplier for defeating multiple enemies without touching the ground, but I figure that would've been a little tricky to implement.

Despair by blaster391 2021-04-27T18:30:11Z

This was a really good game overall! I like the doodley art style and sound design, the pacing felt good, and it had a really good sense of atmosphere. The only changes I'd have made would be making the player's bullets look different from the enemy bullets (since the later fights can get kinda cluttered with projectiles) and adding healthbars to enemies, especially the final boss. (I think I got two Attack-- effects, and it was hard to tell how much damage I was dealing to the boss.)

The Red Crystal by Bastienre4 2021-05-16T23:53:14Z

Phenomenal atmosphere and sound design! The only thing I'd change is the style of some of the journals-- while it was great for the most part, the writing style sometimes didn't match the tension of the gameplay (like the 'cray cray'). Loved it overall!

Chocolate Dip Cookie by MarcoMing 2021-04-29T16:07:54Z

A short, sweet game! The art and music are definitely the game's strongest aspects-- they've both got a warm, wholesome feel to them. To kinda echo what a bunch of other people have said, it was a little hard to tell how to properly dip a cookie at first-- I initially thought the upper bar was the cookie bar, and I ended up losing after a few seconds. For the sake of clarity, I'd put a new message on the cookie bar once it's full to tell the player the cookie's done.

FALL GUY by matthewrobo 2021-04-27T04:59:43Z

Cute and to-the-point. While there aren't a ton of mechanics, I was impressed with how much interesting design you were able to squeeze out of each kind of material. I played in left-right mode, and I feel like it could have benefitted a lot from a visual indicator of how close you are to your maximum jump height. (I noticed that the player's sprite changes, but the animation seemed to finish before I reached max charge.) Besides that, it was a really good experience!

Run Ant Run by Ryano 2021-04-27T04:04:31Z

This was really fun! I honestly have almost no gripes about it-- the art style is cute, the animation is great, and the gameplay has a good risk-reward element to it. The only pointers I have is that it kinda takes a while for the insecticide to pose a threat, and that the music gets a little repetitive after a while. But, since there's a setting to toggle the music, the audio is still a non-issue.

Deep Fried Diner by Akronsus 2021-04-29T18:49:55Z

Love the concept, and it was executed brilliantly. It's all the methodical desk management of Papers Please, but without the depressing atmosphere, and with a little less time pressure. It was a little hard to figure out how to fill orders at first-- specifically, I didn't realize that the tabs at the top were the receipts for a while. (A tutorial customer would probably be a good addition.) Besides that, it was a really good, almost zen experience.

Catlantis by fabula_rasa 2021-04-28T03:37:50Z

Loved this! The game's greatest strength is undoubtedly the atmosphere, but it's also got great graphics, combat, and sound design to boot. Great job!

Deep Space by Cole Hutson 2021-04-27T02:09:12Z

Simple and fun! It's kinda similar to Hedgehog Launch, but it's still executed well. Nice job!

Watch Your Step by Kooky 2021-04-27T18:43:32Z

This game was pretty fun and satisfying! It's kind of hard to tell how your inputs affect your speed though, so failing felt a little like a matter of chance-- I think the gameplay could become a ton more skill-based if you had some more direct control over your legs. My top score was 4005-- I'm not sure how good that is, but I'm pretty happy with it.
