the material selection was broken for me - I wasn't able to switch from the very last material to anything else, and couldn't place blocks anymore
nice idea - now I want rockets in minecraft
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD23 → Leaving the Tiny Earth

Ah, a fan of Minecraft and Terraria. :-)
A little tedious. And I'm somewhat disappointed that you can't fall out of the bottom of the world. But competently made and a cool goal.
You can actually fall off, there is a block under the roon that is in for only 1 pixel. you can destroy that... find out what it happens!!!
Ok, now it's fixed. There were two bugs:
- Items could pass through iron blocks, silver blocks, platinum blocks, rocket engines and propulsors.
- You were not allowed to craft engines or propulsors.
They are now fixed.
Another bug! Propulsors don't disappear when the rocket is crafted!
I'll fix it tomorrow...
This evening I'm gonna post the debugged and final version!
@Orni
You have to change materials with the mousewheel. Maybe you were clicking on them?
Updated--Final version!!
***I'm posting this on all non-browser games I bring up in an attempt to encourage folks to make browser games next time around. Do not take it personally.***
When hundreds of people make non-browser games, that means that, to play all of the entries, I would need to download hundreds of games to my computer. I typically use OS X, so Windows-only entries are particularly inconvenient.
Please consider making a browser game next time.
I know... but I'm afraid I can't with Game Maker... I'll see.
However... it's not windows only. I think it can work on all platforms.
The game is generally well done, I like the particles, the physics with the falling objects and the trees. But it is kinda boring, maybe because of the lack of sound, or maybe because mining stuff takes too much time.
Also, I think it is very important that the entire game is contained within the game -- even if you want to keep the exact recipes a secret, the keys for using the game (shift for crafting bench, the recipe for the rocket), should be available in the game, not in a separate webpage.
Thanks for the game!
Ok... I'll do a better version in my summer holidays, don't worry. And it hasn't any music because I can't compose...
crafting was rather bad, and the block should not have been rounded
Sorry, I'm not able to play as I don't have Windows.
This is very Terraria-ish, but I liked it whatsoever. The character seemed to walk backwards and had some jumping problems, but otherwise excellent work.
Not bad, the controls were a little sticky, but I did like the graphic style.
Ooooh, very nice! Really good work for 48 hours!
Good job! :D
Nice work. The ledges are works very weird. Sometimes in "0"-section is really hard to jump in.

I know... it's just the fact that I'm not a real pro yet. I can't get rid of that problems for now.
Got kinda boring, and I couldn't make head or tail of the crafting. Pretty neat idea, though!
I would play it, but I'm on an iMac.
It's fun to play, audio wasn't working for me and I couldn't figure out how to get iron. Still, nice work.
Really nice terraria clone (not bad at all) :-)
Very fun indeed!
Unfortunately cannot play, don't have access to windows box.
HTML5 :)
Very good to get the game in there that you did in the time. Sure it's rough around the edges. As its pretty much a clone of Terraria/MC it's not original, but of course working to a restriction can enable productivity which is a great lesson to learn as well.
It feels like you put a lot of work into the game and this results in great gameplay. I love that you added a final goal to the minecraft formula (I should really play Terraria). Collision detection in Game Maker is a pain in the ass, my game is suffering from this too.
