Apparently, you actually loosely used the concept of natural selection into the gameplay (even if I couldn't interact with such mechanics myself). It would be nice to have a background of some sort, so I knew where exactly I was relative to where I began. At first I thought I was just sitting still and twitching everywhere.
Don't get me wrong, watching Doctor Who is a wonderful pastime, but I personally think it would have been worth it if you worked on this a bit more instead.
Ending score 167 I spent most of my time just swerving around not getting hit. Seemed really hard to run into the smaller cells. Interesting concept though.
I wasn't able to play it since you didn't have a web or a Mac version.
Cool.
Pretty cool game! At first I wasn't sure if I was moving or not, because there were no other cells in the vicinity (adding something like a background or a grid to let me know that I'm moving would be convenient)
Also, as a game that involves size, I think it's important to have some sort of visual indicator of who is bigger than me and who is smaller. Because when the difference is small, it may be hard to tell, and those few seconds (or milliseconds) to judge may be frustrating. Osmos did this in a really intuitive way, where the bigger cells turned red and the smaller ones turned blue.
I think the movement could be a bit smoother too. But overall, solid effort!
Ah, like other people wrote: too bad you didn't take longer to finish your game. I always like creatures that behave like they have a mind of their own.
For me the circular view doesn't work. It fits the them very well, but I do feel my field of view is too narrow.
Next time do more, its promising.
I sense there's a cool game underneath the surface of this unfinished entry.
I could hardly ever catch a smaller cell and they just seemed to damage me whenever I did.
