Excellent.
Can't get past the second screen on linux, mouse clicks don't seem to be registering properly.
Excellent game.
Good job, that is a fun game!
I enjoyed it very much, well done for doing it in 8 hours!
Cool!
Great game! Lots of cool things, the black holes are a great idea. A little bit buggy on collisions and things but doesn't detract from the gameplay too much.
Little bit too difficult to figure out, but the graphics and music are very polished.
Cool graphics, would be cool if you added a score so that I know how well I did.
Link to the web version seems to be down. Would be interesting to see if you had a bit more time, some potential there.
Nice concept.
Kittens + asteroids + space == awesome game. :D
Has surprising amount of skill involved for such a simple concept, I think it would make a great title if you develop it further.
Nice simple game.
Sounds and graphics are very good, the gameplay itself is not very engaging though.
Superb!
Pretty neat idea.
lapogo: Thanks for the feedback! I should explain that the bullets will always explode at the area to which you are aiming when you fire, even if the bullet meets an enemy ship along the way. Also the red ships don't burst into particles when they die like the rocks do, so that might be causing some confusion? It is very possible that the collision detection between explosions and ships isn't 100% accurate but I didn't notice during testing. I'll investigate this for future versions.
Thanks,
j0n.
Cool thanks Sodaware!
miharbi: Cheers! :D
Aweseome! Little bit easy though.
I really like the walls and the character sprite.
Good game but too hard for me. :(
Best jam game I've played so far. Music will be forever etched in my memory. Good job, you guys should make more games.
Very hard! Makes me feel like a ninja when I kill people though.
Very innovative game. Lots of levels to play through. Game was obvious enough to pick up without reading your instructions.
Music was great as were the graphics. Pretty fun to play too.
Fun game! Could do with being a bit more fast paced and maybe make the jumps smaller, or different heights of jump. Good job though!
Great music and fun to play. Awesome.
As others said, collisions are off. Nice concept though and fun to play.
Very fun game, really enjoyed it!
This is brilliant. Probably the best innovation I've seen in gameplay so far this Ludum Dare.
Haha, enjoyed it a lot. On windows had to run it from command line to get the classpath right using "java -jar LudumDare.jar".
Good graphics and good game idea!
Nice audio and graphics, movement is a little jarring though and I wasn't sure of the goal. Was an enjoyable ride though!
I found this very interesting. Doing the physics and controls for the curves must have been tough, plays nicely though!
So much fun!
Nice lighting effects! A little bit too fast paced for me, would have enjoyed a more tactical game. Fun to play though.
I liked it! Quite advanced for a ludum dare game. It ended rather abruptly though, or at least I think it ended. I was stuck in the middle of the woods with the man.
Great game! Really like the inverted mouse bit, makes it very hard!
Very cool game, loved every second. Good challenge and great story as well.
Like the music! Unfortunately it kept glitching on me so I couldn't progress very far in it.
Ha, good fun! The explosion sound effect is seriously satisfying.
This is great. I love the music - very Wolfenstein 3D-esque.
Nice! Very fun. Would have preferred to use WASD keys to move rather than mouse, but still good job.
Nice game! Feels good to control.
I like it! Art style was pleasant for me. Obvious collision detection problems which hindered it a bit but overall a good package.
This is great, really great idea, well polished and the music is badass.
Nice job! Graphics and feel are great.
Great idea for a game, a little bit hard for me though.
Cool idea
This was fun! Controls were nice and fluid and the concept worked well.
Great use of theme, could do with ramping up a bit faster in the beginning though. Good work though!
Take all the stars, this game is AMAZING. If this was a full length game I would pay good money for it. I really like the way you gave the player a choice of paths in a lot of sections, really makes you think what is the best option and the best option changes for different syles of players. Anyway, great job!
When I get that feeling, I get noodley healing.
Nice fun little game. I like the character art. Next time I'd recommend focusing on doing less levels and polishing them more. Hope you do Ludum Dare again!
This is an amazing entry. The graphics and music are fantastic.
"Real panning marble sounds" - I can attest to that. Great game, well executed.
Great music! Well done for getting that all done in 48 hours.
This is great fun and a really cool concept. Relatively bug-free for such complex movement. Got to the checkpoint but couldn't figure out how to go further.
Enemies spawned on top of me as well. Maybe consider some fixed spawn points and don't spawn there if the player is nearby. Looks and controls well, loads of potential. Would work well as mobile game controlled with accelerometers I think.
Nice idea, think words are a bit hard to parse in such a frantic game. Would have preferred shapes or colours to distinguish. Good fun though, really enjoyed.
Brilliant idea, too hard for me though. Multitasking is not my strong suit.
Nice controls, very fluid. Could have used more of a tutorial on what the different weapons do + it is a bit long for Ludum Dare. Other than that though very solid and fun.
Is the aiming automatic? It is hard to seperate enemies in the background from ones attacking you also.
Liked it a lot. Art was great and the the sound effects were awesome. Didn't work for me initially because I had an ancient java version installed (version 6!) but after I upgraded it was good.
celisoft: Thanks for the info. I've updated the dependency list with that. Unfortunately I cannot lower the resolution or some of the text is unreadable. I'll keep that in mind for my next game though.
Thanks for the nice comments. :)
Nice idea, bit short but I love the style and the art is lovely.
Art and music were gorgeous. A bit confused on what my goal was but the feel was great.
