LD20 — It's Dangerous to Go Alone! Take This!

Fishing vs Aliens by shockedfrog 2011-05-02T03:31:00

Intro story is fun, I get the idea of where it was going (if the aliens did anything).

Fishing vs Aliens by shockedfrog 2011-05-02T03:32:00

Needs more alien attack!

Choppa', Run to thee! by billknye 2011-05-02T05:29:00

Sounds like you need XNA or .Net 4.0.

Choppa', Run to thee! by billknye 2011-05-03T21:34:00

TellusE, had no idea about the media player part, must be some requirement of XNA, thanks!

Thanks for the feedback on the camera, something I will keep in mind for the future =)

Choppa', Run to thee! by billknye 2011-05-07T17:05:00

grunchmonkey: Double check the version of XNA you have and also you need windows media player installed it seems.

Chronos by bmfs 2011-05-02T05:33:00

Interesting concept, I am terrible at this game, heh.

Diagnosis by ThatSnail 2011-05-02T06:13:00

This game is a bit crazy, and difficult.

It's Not Easy Being Muammar by BadgerPriest 2011-05-02T06:09:00

Certainly different gameplay, seems a bit too random.

Take This by jovoc 2011-05-02T06:07:00

Teasing isn't nice you know. Interesting concept, would have liked to see it taken further.

Zom-key-bot-calypse by LiquidAsh 2011-05-02T03:53:00

Interesting concept, need more levels!

"Alone" by natpat 2011-05-02T02:23:00

Restarting at the beginning is evil!

Tri by ratking 2011-05-02T05:01:00

Great!

Better You Than ME! by lingmops 2011-05-02T03:43:00

Fun! Score: 85661

Better You Than ME! by lingmops 2011-05-02T03:44:00

Very fun, would have been that much better with some simple sound / music.

It is Dangerous to Go Alone in the Dark by fueelin 2011-05-02T05:15:00

Interesting idea. Only downside is the levels tend to not place monsters around the edges, leading to easy routes frequently.

Heroic Cat! by Frib 2011-05-05T05:04:00

Was very fun and had difficulty at parts that kept it interesting. I liked the playfulness of the characters, especially the cat scratch-attack thing.

A Robot's Adventure by DrSuperSocks 2011-05-23T15:32:00

This was seriously special.

SkyFall by headchant 2011-05-02T03:25:00

Sometimes I can fall for a long time without any sky villians or clouds. You keep upgrades (like double swords) between plays.

SkyFall by headchant 2011-05-02T06:16:00

Selecting the end button doesn't actually quit.

Cave Of Cursors by Erifdex 2011-05-02T06:12:00

At first I didn't realize my health was going down as I placed the bombs so I was spamming them everywhere, blowing up the bad guys was fun.

Legend of Parasite by Draknek 2011-05-02T04:25:00

I can't seem to get anywhere other than a 3x2 set of rooms. Maybe I am missing something.

LD23 — Tiny World

I Should Clean My Keyboard by cmo7 2012-05-05T02:56:00

Terrific, nice job, simple, yet effective.

Tiny World - Tiny Bits by notepid 2012-05-05T02:24:00

Seem to get stuck on the second level starting tree a lot. Certainly an interesting concept.

Honey Heist by CappaGames 2012-05-05T02:36:00

Pretty decent, a bit of a steep difficulty curve, interesting gameplay though.

Tiny Whirled Piece by Martoon 2012-05-05T02:32:00

Simple but fun, took me a second to realize the white crosshair was the 'target' angular velocity.

Athletic's Foot by neosam 2012-05-05T03:13:00

Kind of fun, took a minute to figure out the controls and how to play but made sense after that. A bit difficult to get started, have to restart to get a good initial setup.

LD26 — Minimalism

Libelle by Verrazano 2013-04-30T04:58:00

Getting a 404 on the dropbox windows link?

Libelle by Verrazano 2013-04-30T18:13:00

Pretty cool little multiplayer shooter. I thought the safe zone concept was neat and the music changes were pretty gnarly. Well done!

Bear Necessities by itsZN 2013-04-30T17:12:00

Interesting concept, pretty cool that there was a built in map-editor getting fish from the river was fun. I walked many a meter in vain.

Gimme back my keys by pinkmonkeyhead 2013-04-30T16:23:00

Pretty fun game overall, it's a bit slow and the last level seems quite a bit harder than the others.

Guru by BrothersT 2013-04-30T05:26:00

Fun puzzles, first puzzle with the fish I don't quite understand, succeeded at it once though. The dog in the car is the best one, fantastic!

Super 3D BlockLand by hardycore 2013-04-30T15:37:00

Certainly an interesting concept. Was a fun twist with the abilities and the race to combine them at times. Some of the puzzles were a bit tricky and some you could ignore a bit of by just 'yellow'ing over a bunch of stuff. Nicely done.

JOHN by LPGhatguy 2013-04-30T05:37:00

Pretty well done for a relatively short game. The spooky ghost thing with the sound effects was a nice touch.

Random Objects Smash by Moist 2013-04-30T15:43:00

Game has a very nice feel to it. Very minimalist and quite well done. I do with there was another level of upgrades, the blue crystal things are just begging to be picked up!

Fjoxel by Pixelsalt 2013-04-30T16:34:00

Difficult, simple, fun. Good work.

Simple Difficulties by Wet Heads 2013-04-30T16:53:00

Fun little game, music would be better if the volume were a bit lower. I did like spamming rockets at the hordes of bad guys, so many bad guys sometimes.

Slice by billknye 2013-04-30T14:52:00

Andrew: Yeah the xp is used to level up the items.

We made a design decision not to have diagonal movement to try and keep towards minimalism. Thanks!

Minimal Ammo by T800 2013-04-30T17:21:00

Liked the game a lot. Pretty well balanced between having to take some damage to conserve ammo. Nicely done.

Cells by anatolat 2013-04-30T14:59:00

Definitely a fun little game. The one sound effect is a tad loud. I really liked the concept of building up yourself and the smaller helper cells. As fussycachew mentioned, it's a bit to tempting to exploit the LD26. Nicely done overall.

Knifeship by RaulFPL 2013-04-30T04:57:00

Simple game play, slightly frustrating when they shoot when you are right on top of them giving you almost no time to react. Well kept to the theme.

Psyniter by Frosnite 2013-04-30T15:52:00

I thought some parts of this were very nifty, at first I was afraid of everything but then I realized I could keep my health up and still run through lots of guys to kill them. I thought the way you picked up things and they went along with you (like the the shield looking basket thing) was handled well. The graphics were also done well in keeping with the minimalism theme. Nicely done.

Choose Defense (TD) by fogelvisch 2013-04-30T15:25:00

Not a bad tower defense game. Placing towers can be glitchy at best. On the second level after several waves, there are these gold crowed toaster pastry looking guys that I couldn't even kill one of. It was fun until I got completely owned by the crown guys, humorous too.

Maximus Minimalist by Alexander 2013-04-30T05:30:00

Interesting concept, a bit frustrating trying to play tetris with not-great feeling interactions. Thought the tiger jumping was pretty hilarious though.

Ten Shades of Grey by Nancybeast 2013-04-30T17:00:00

I liked the rotation mechanic, was an interesting play on the levels. That being said, I consistently fell out of the world after the second level. Also, spamming left shift on the stairs makes the stupid windows sticky keys thing come up, good times.

Meteoranger by Jhelle 2013-04-30T17:48:00

Fun little game, it was nice that movement wasn't the predictable invaders style enemies. Nicely done.

Hit The Button by IHateATMFees 2013-04-30T05:34:00

Simple, certainly minimalist. I think it could have used just a bit more, maybe moving the button around so you had to be quick to click might have added just slightly more.

make a binky by soerensen3 2013-04-30T17:25:00

I liked the controls, definitely different than the other games. Being able to resize the window so much felt a bit cheating. Overall fun and unique!

Minimalism by StabAlarash 2013-04-30T17:31:00

Fast paced and chaotic, what's not to like? There was a bit too much enemy spam at some points, seemed easiest to rush through the level. I really liked the shaped doors and variable firing patters. Good job!

Lack of Civilization by V0ID 2013-04-30T15:59:00

Was definitely too short, I think if you could have gone a little further with this it would have been that much better. It was good enough to make me go explore and see if I could find anything past the infernal 'vegetation is too dense' messages.

Contact: Lost by William Bundy 2013-04-30T21:20:00

Gameplay is a bit tedious and unnecessarily long. You spend most of your time fighting even though that doesn't seem like the primary point of the game. I thought the concept was definitely interesting. Could be cleaned up and turned into a very nifty game.

MiniSim by jolle 2013-04-30T16:28:00

Really compelling entry on the minimalism theme. Felt bad wrecking so many houses expanding my roads though. Great work!

LD30 — Connected Worlds

DOX30 by WebFreak001 2014-08-26T02:09:00

I liked the graphics, the background and clouds added a more polished feel to the look of things. Always nice to see a good use of Kenney's art work.

Monster+Connect! by saguaro 2014-08-26T02:42:00

Interesting use of the theme, I think the plot could have been a bit more subtle, would have been more interesting go follow the story further between the collided dimensions. Also liked the art style.

A New World by jpcote 2014-08-26T02:33:00

Well done. Good use of the core game mechanics, the difficulty is built up slowly. It could probably use a few more levels to get a bit more difficult. Overall a good game.

Nexopoly by billknye 2014-08-25T20:19:00

sneeuwpopsneeuw: Thanks, unfortunately no time for that =/

Nexopoly by billknye 2014-08-26T01:43:00

sorry @little-burrito I saw you made quite an effort to play, not sure what was up. Maybe an outdated unity client? but if that was the case you'd probably have issues with other games. I'll see if I can figure anything out. Thanks for trying!

Planet Rush by Dabuuker 2014-08-25T20:24:00

Well done, the mechanic is nice. Have to be careful not to go directly to the other planets or else you end up going paiiinfully slowly around them and losing. Overall, nice job.

Nonomnia by robodylan 2014-08-26T02:16:00

Well at first it does seem a bit plain, but after playing for a minute I noticed there are enough little physics/world interaction glitches that it becomes more fun trying to jump around and launch yourself in various directions. Could be fleshed out into a good platformer engine. Hooray for Kenney's art!

Shared Mass by mephisto 2014-08-25T19:48:00

Well done on the gameplay, not entirely obvious gameplay, not sure if that is intentional. The quantities between the connected planets will average out, and in order to fill the red planet you have to have a source planet which will fill the red planet and end with exactly the same amount. Overall a fun little game.

Two Worlds by ViKing Games 2014-08-25T20:59:00

Looks like it could be fun but I couldn't jump in anyway. I figured out it was control to switch characters but, I nothing I did would make my character jump. And the sword of justice was so close!

2connected by Infraviolet 2014-08-25T20:10:00

No dll issues for me, but it crashed continuously, not sure why, Windows 8.1 maybe? I had to sprint through level 1 just to get to level 2, which I couldn't finish without a crash.

Daydream Runaway by psychonull 2014-08-26T17:15:00

Fun little game, it can be a bit difficult to get all the, well, whatever the things are you are supposed to collect. Good graphics, appropriate music.

Humanoid by AnaglyphCoding 2014-08-25T16:26:00

The tradeoff of being hit more by enemies as you carefully make jumps was the most difficult and most interesting part for me.

Woopsy Deadsy by 4sap 2014-08-25T18:54:00

Definitely fun and addictive. The core gameplay feels well polished. It has a good difficulty, the alien and a few of the jump sequences will certainly kill a few monkeys. It took me a few minutes to break my brain of W being jump and messing up the two. Nice job.

High Flyer[DEMO] by Mallot1 2014-08-26T01:41:00

Was a bit finicky, a little too fast at the start. Crashed after a few plays so I lost my progress =( Could be a good game if polished up a bit.

Worldhole Theater by Killbert 2014-08-25T19:56:00

Game is definitely a bit buggy. I'm not entirely sure I understand the goal. After killing a few initial enemies I waited a while and nothing else really happened. Just seems unfinished.

WorldWar of Connectidia by Goutye 2014-08-25T18:02:00

An interesting game, there's quite a lot going on for a 48-hour game, well done. The goal and how to play, even with the info screens is not entirely obvious. The forced compromise between the worlds was nice too.

Galaxy Saviour by Samuel Arminana 2014-08-25T20:18:00

I like the graphics, the trail on the bullets was nice. I agree with some of the others that it was a bit slow. The inclusion of the leaderboard is a nice touch.

Connected Retro Worlds by yodamaster 2014-08-26T01:37:00

Three worlds! So many two world entries, pretty well done, nice job.

Connected on the run... by alexco12 2014-08-25T19:06:00

Decent start to a game, it does feel like there could be something there. Lack of camera controls did make parts annoying, like the cloud/sky jumping area. Also the controls for the character movement feel a bit mushy. Some of the art style was interesting and could be made into something really cool.

Ambassadors Of Ruin by LostTrainDude 2014-08-25T20:50:00

Good game, I think with some economic variation and maybe another foreign world or two, it could be an interesting challenge.

Space Delver by commodoreKid 2014-08-26T02:27:00

Great game! Quite a lot going on for a compo game. The controls are a bit difficult to remember all of, I suggest adding them to the unity html file so you can reference them while playing. Everyone tendency to do quick play throughs probably won't do this game justice. If you decide to continue working on this game I think there's a lot that could be done. Multiplayer or simple combat could add a huge dimension. Thanks!

Eat!Live!Kill!Win! by jgthespy 2014-08-26T01:56:00

I thought some of the game mechanics could be a lot of fun if expanded upon. I didn't feel like I got enough time with each of them to really get to know them without playing many times through. First two levels were my favorites, something about pushing everything and burning things was gratifying.

Eat!Live!Kill!Win! by jgthespy 2014-08-26T01:57:00

Web player worked fine for me, but the right click brought up the unity menu over and over.

connected dimensions by akios 2014-08-25T20:07:00

Could be a fun concept. My only real complaint is the controls are a bit mushy.

Meet The Moon by K55 2014-08-26T01:51:00

Quite a neat little start to a game. So many times of jumping and just missing another planet! I really liked barely catching the lower side of a planet and crawling, well spinning, my way back up around and jumping again. Good times.

Simple Realms by mramaizng 2014-08-26T03:04:00

Best part is the first boss bear, he is ridiculous looking. Was certainly a fun entry.
