Fishing vs Aliens by shockedfrog 2011-05-02T03:31:00
Intro story is fun, I get the idea of where it was going (if the aliens did anything).

Needs more alien attack!
Sounds like you need XNA or .Net 4.0.
TellusE, had no idea about the media player part, must be some requirement of XNA, thanks!
Thanks for the feedback on the camera, something I will keep in mind for the future =)
grunchmonkey: Double check the version of XNA you have and also you need windows media player installed it seems.
Certainly different gameplay, seems a bit too random.
Interesting concept, need more levels!
Fun! Score: 85661
Very fun, would have been that much better with some simple sound / music.
Interesting idea. Only downside is the levels tend to not place monsters around the edges, leading to easy routes frequently.
Was very fun and had difficulty at parts that kept it interesting. I liked the playfulness of the characters, especially the cat scratch-attack thing.
This was seriously special.
At first I didn't realize my health was going down as I placed the bombs so I was spamming them everywhere, blowing up the bad guys was fun.
I can't seem to get anywhere other than a 3x2 set of rooms. Maybe I am missing something.
Terrific, nice job, simple, yet effective.
Seem to get stuck on the second level starting tree a lot. Certainly an interesting concept.
Pretty decent, a bit of a steep difficulty curve, interesting gameplay though.
Simple but fun, took me a second to realize the white crosshair was the 'target' angular velocity.
Kind of fun, took a minute to figure out the controls and how to play but made sense after that. A bit difficult to get started, have to restart to get a good initial setup.
Interesting concept, pretty cool that there was a built in map-editor getting fish from the river was fun. I walked many a meter in vain.
Pretty fun game overall, it's a bit slow and the last level seems quite a bit harder than the others.
Certainly an interesting concept. Was a fun twist with the abilities and the race to combine them at times. Some of the puzzles were a bit tricky and some you could ignore a bit of by just 'yellow'ing over a bunch of stuff. Nicely done.
Game has a very nice feel to it. Very minimalist and quite well done. I do with there was another level of upgrades, the blue crystal things are just begging to be picked up!
Fun little game, music would be better if the volume were a bit lower. I did like spamming rockets at the hordes of bad guys, so many bad guys sometimes.
Liked the game a lot. Pretty well balanced between having to take some damage to conserve ammo. Nicely done.
I thought some parts of this were very nifty, at first I was afraid of everything but then I realized I could keep my health up and still run through lots of guys to kill them. I thought the way you picked up things and they went along with you (like the the shield looking basket thing) was handled well. The graphics were also done well in keeping with the minimalism theme. Nicely done.
Not a bad tower defense game. Placing towers can be glitchy at best. On the second level after several waves, there are these gold crowed toaster pastry looking guys that I couldn't even kill one of. It was fun until I got completely owned by the crown guys, humorous too.
Interesting concept, a bit frustrating trying to play tetris with not-great feeling interactions. Thought the tiger jumping was pretty hilarious though.
I liked the rotation mechanic, was an interesting play on the levels. That being said, I consistently fell out of the world after the second level. Also, spamming left shift on the stairs makes the stupid windows sticky keys thing come up, good times.
Fun little game, it was nice that movement wasn't the predictable invaders style enemies. Nicely done.
Simple, certainly minimalist. I think it could have used just a bit more, maybe moving the button around so you had to be quick to click might have added just slightly more.
I liked the controls, definitely different than the other games. Being able to resize the window so much felt a bit cheating. Overall fun and unique!
Fast paced and chaotic, what's not to like? There was a bit too much enemy spam at some points, seemed easiest to rush through the level. I really liked the shaped doors and variable firing patters. Good job!
Was definitely too short, I think if you could have gone a little further with this it would have been that much better. It was good enough to make me go explore and see if I could find anything past the infernal 'vegetation is too dense' messages.
Gameplay is a bit tedious and unnecessarily long. You spend most of your time fighting even though that doesn't seem like the primary point of the game. I thought the concept was definitely interesting. Could be cleaned up and turned into a very nifty game.
I liked the graphics, the background and clouds added a more polished feel to the look of things. Always nice to see a good use of Kenney's art work.
Interesting use of the theme, I think the plot could have been a bit more subtle, would have been more interesting go follow the story further between the collided dimensions. Also liked the art style.
Well done. Good use of the core game mechanics, the difficulty is built up slowly. It could probably use a few more levels to get a bit more difficult. Overall a good game.
Well done, the mechanic is nice. Have to be careful not to go directly to the other planets or else you end up going paiiinfully slowly around them and losing. Overall, nice job.
Well at first it does seem a bit plain, but after playing for a minute I noticed there are enough little physics/world interaction glitches that it becomes more fun trying to jump around and launch yourself in various directions. Could be fleshed out into a good platformer engine. Hooray for Kenney's art!
Well done on the gameplay, not entirely obvious gameplay, not sure if that is intentional. The quantities between the connected planets will average out, and in order to fill the red planet you have to have a source planet which will fill the red planet and end with exactly the same amount. Overall a fun little game.
Looks like it could be fun but I couldn't jump in anyway. I figured out it was control to switch characters but, I nothing I did would make my character jump. And the sword of justice was so close!
No dll issues for me, but it crashed continuously, not sure why, Windows 8.1 maybe? I had to sprint through level 1 just to get to level 2, which I couldn't finish without a crash.
Fun little game, it can be a bit difficult to get all the, well, whatever the things are you are supposed to collect. Good graphics, appropriate music.
The tradeoff of being hit more by enemies as you carefully make jumps was the most difficult and most interesting part for me.
Definitely fun and addictive. The core gameplay feels well polished. It has a good difficulty, the alien and a few of the jump sequences will certainly kill a few monkeys. It took me a few minutes to break my brain of W being jump and messing up the two. Nice job.
Was a bit finicky, a little too fast at the start. Crashed after a few plays so I lost my progress =( Could be a good game if polished up a bit.
Game is definitely a bit buggy. I'm not entirely sure I understand the goal. After killing a few initial enemies I waited a while and nothing else really happened. Just seems unfinished.
An interesting game, there's quite a lot going on for a 48-hour game, well done. The goal and how to play, even with the info screens is not entirely obvious. The forced compromise between the worlds was nice too.
I like the graphics, the trail on the bullets was nice. I agree with some of the others that it was a bit slow. The inclusion of the leaderboard is a nice touch.
Three worlds! So many two world entries, pretty well done, nice job.
Decent start to a game, it does feel like there could be something there. Lack of camera controls did make parts annoying, like the cloud/sky jumping area. Also the controls for the character movement feel a bit mushy. Some of the art style was interesting and could be made into something really cool.
Good game, I think with some economic variation and maybe another foreign world or two, it could be an interesting challenge.
Great game! Quite a lot going on for a compo game. The controls are a bit difficult to remember all of, I suggest adding them to the unity html file so you can reference them while playing. Everyone tendency to do quick play throughs probably won't do this game justice. If you decide to continue working on this game I think there's a lot that could be done. Multiplayer or simple combat could add a huge dimension. Thanks!
I thought some of the game mechanics could be a lot of fun if expanded upon. I didn't feel like I got enough time with each of them to really get to know them without playing many times through. First two levels were my favorites, something about pushing everything and burning things was gratifying.
Web player worked fine for me, but the right click brought up the unity menu over and over.
Could be a fun concept. My only real complaint is the controls are a bit mushy.
Quite a neat little start to a game. So many times of jumping and just missing another planet! I really liked barely catching the lower side of a planet and crawling, well spinning, my way back up around and jumping again. Good times.
Best part is the first boss bear, he is ridiculous looking. Was certainly a fun entry.
