Wow, that was great! I really liked all the little snips of info on the rooms, and it gave a really great mood!
I was unable to run it:/
(win 7 x64, with generous specs.)
Lots of fun! The diagonal didn't seem to work when going from horizontal to vertical. That installer worked, btw.
I'm not entirely sure what the objective is, but you got the mood and theme pretty well.
Great concept, and pretty fun, but I felt the controls werent all that responsive, and collisions were a bit off.
Good game, but the zombies could use a bit of a difficulty drop ;)
I don't really get it... If there is an end, you need at least some sort of a hint that you are making progress earlier on. I really liked the style though!
Surprisingly fun, just didn't seem to fit the theme...
I apparently suck at making money and buying food. I lasted 8 days...
Great feel and theme! I wasn't able to see the edges of the screen, however.
Awesome, thank you! I really was planning on more levels and mechanics, but I had to cut a lot of things w/ the time constraint. 9I am actually thinking about finishing this one up, actually!) Oh, and Ill look at your games again!
THe controls (and game in general) were really laggy, but it is a great concept, and I really liked the art style!
Fun, but a bit buggy with the collisions.
Shows promise, but the controls were a bit clunky, and the character image could have used some work. Liked the background music, though! :)
Wow, that was genuinely tense, especially with the shrinking light source... Gaphics could use some work, as well as packaging (I personally prefer a .zip over a RAR).
I was unable to run it :/
(Win 7 x64)
Huh, its still not working... I have JARs set to open with 7-zip, any chance for some sort of a launcher?
There we go, works now! Great concept!
There we go, works now! Great concept!
Whoops double post :/
Art was good!
Fantastic all around!
Very beautiful game! Puzzles were decent too.
Good start. Like the concept.
Enjoyed the alien descriptions of each selection.
Enjoyed the alien descriptions of each selection. Great humor, albeit a bit lacking in "gaminess"
Seems solid mechanically, just a little lacking in the actual game play. I don't really get the oil thing, lol.
Seemed like it would be interesting. Work that you got done was very slick!
Runs for me! Nice theme.
Neat concept. I gather it was unfinished?
Very nice! Would like some sign that the enemy was damaged by the light
Concept was interesting! The jump itself could be tweaked to be a bit stronger, and was really cluttered visually. Fun, just needed a bit of poilsh.
Great art! Enjoyed the humor as well.
Excellent concept!
Shame it didn't get done. The opening set my hope really high, lol! Great music and art.
Character moves a bit too fast, but entertaining otherwise.
Pretty fun! I enjoyed that the launch pad moved in space. A arrow or something to point towards the wormhole would help.
Great work. Looks and handles very polished.
Heh, pretty enjoyable. Controls are wonky and not really explained, but I enjoyed the sounds.
Afraid I can't get it to work. Wireless X-Box controller. :/
Hah, like the concept!
Simple but enjoyable. Mechanics are solid, art is interesting and cohesive.
Really neat concept! Controls were innovative, and the movement was pretty fun.
Solid.
Really fun! Sat and played until I got to the boss, but I stopped being able to damage it.
Great mood. Smile on my face the whole time.
Afraid not. Might be Android eventually, but that's all I can do through GM:S at the moment.
Thanks for that! I've submitted an updated version with a few bug fixes.
Great puzzles. Nice job introducing the concepts at the beginning. The background was nice, but a bit repetitive. A bit better clipping would have helped.
Fun game! Neat concept, was pretty entertaining. My only issue was the menu animations were too slow, which made it hard to find the shapes when crunched for time.
Fun game! Polished, puzzles were pretty good. Would have liked to see the shape shifting used more than the platforming though.
Pretty fun! I figured out the strategy after a bit.
Fun concept! Graphics were good and uniform. Control scheme was a bit unreliable at times, though. Also not super strong on the theme.
Great entry! Tutorial was nice to have, and you have a good set of puzzle mechanics.
Took a bit to figure out, but very unique.
Graphics and sound were great! Very cohesive. Would have liked to see a bit more play into the theme though.
A bit tricky to aim, also a bit hard to get to other platforms sometimes, but it's definitely unique, and I like the stacking mechanics.
I am horrible at bullet hell stuff, but this was very solid. The projectiles had good impact, the waves were interesting, and the bosses were a nice touch. I would have liked to see more purpose to the light going out, however. I could see most enemies well enough with their glowing marks.
Excellent mood. I really liked the enemies that changed their position when you toggled the lights.
I actually really like the mix of 2D and 3D.
Movement and graphics were very solid!
Pretty fun loop once I figured it out!
Pretty fun! Frantic, gameplay. Kinda neat to prioritize different doors that have been down the longest. I think i hit a bug where the doors stopped draining, so I had all the doors charged fully at a certain point.
Neat concept! I like how it fits with the theme. Only issue it it would be a bit smoother if you could control in the air.
Really like the idea with toggling the subsystems. Would be really good if we could toggle them with keys instead of clicking them.
Neat idea, really felt the balance for the water/power usage. Gonna echo what some people said about the music, gets a bit repetitive :/
Great use of lighting, shooting was good. Had some issues with capturing the mouse, though, kept clicking off the screen.
Thanks for the feedback all! I've changed to an exe, completely forgot to change the output.
Controls were great! Very smooth and fluid. Only note I would have is to start the player a bit higher before they take control, I didn't have my mouse in position properly the first time, so I crashed almost immediately. I did like the transition from the title screen to the game, very cool.
Gave it a try on windows, getting this error when trying to launch:
Ok so I hate horror games but thats because im a wimp. I only played one round but that was super unsettling. So I guess great job, lol!
Really fun! I enjoyed having to swat the individual flies, made it really interesting. As a heads up I think I found a bug: after getting fried by the grates, clicking "try again" instead took me to the next level.
Enjoyable story, lol. Platforming felt a bit floaty, but other than that I enjoyed playing it, great work!
Thanks for the feedback all! @adam-clayden @team-watt @mekuri I've added a small tutorial for editing command nodes. That was one area I couldnt figure out how to add a good tutorial for at the time. Hope it helps!
@blotosaur Thats the last level! I'm glad it can be beaten lol, I ran out of time to make sure.
This was so entertaining and a great take on the concept. First one I was like "ah ok, this will be interesting" then they just got better from there. Solid little minigames, a really fun time. Great work!
Solid experience all around! Controls were good, art was cohesive and pretty nice. I appreciated the save points.
Impressive work for the time given! Controls are a bit odd, had to fullscreen the game. Also would have liked a bit more feedback about when im in the view of the people.
Really nice physics interactions. I keps just dropping comets into the sun, but that was entirely my fault.
Solid TD! Would have liked it running just a wee bit faster.
Very smooth! I wasnt able to open the shop the leave the tutorial though, pressing q didnt do anything.
Link worked for me!
Really solid game! Took a bit to kinda understand the best way to do things, but after I got it it was really interesting! One bug I did run into is that the feed counter will feed the people until you close the window on the windows version, so I thought I could only feed one person a day.
Very polished entry! Animations and UI were very smooth.
I think getting through Back and Forth on my first try is going to be one of my proudest achievements for a bit lol. Great puzzles! Difficulty definitely ramps up a bit towards the end, but you did a good job on the progressive introduction of mechanics.
@mickm Thanks for the feedback! The tutorial was very hastily done lol. Once you've selected a node, there should be a command list underneath it. You have to run ./control to make the node green, then ./download on the goal (yellow arrow) node to go to the next level.
@rory-kaufmann Thanks! I had a few ideas that I didnt get to unfortunately. yes, the mountain does block line of sight. It's doable, but not easy haha.
Thanks for the feedback all! I've made the command buttons a bit more apparent, hopefully that helps. (The compression on the web version isn't doing me any favors either...)
I enjoyed this a lot! The problem solving was pretty entertaining. I think I got myself a bit to shuffled to get it the first time, I'll dive in with a fresh run a bit later, but it'd be useful (though maybe too easy) to get a bit of feedback on why your progress was halted..
That was fun, and it looks great! There's definitely a rhythm to it! And the balance of finding a safe orbit or jumping for points.
Like the style! Agree that there should be something to force you out of the center.
Really fun concept! I didn't have paper on hand but I could spend a while going through and making a list of potions for sure. That said the controls were a bit tough. I eventually got a rhythm going but I couldn't read the letters on some of the labels, they would blend together.
Hey there, just as a heads up, your download is getting flagged by my antivirus. Let me know if you resolve that, looks like an interesting entry!Capture.PNG
Thanks, I figured as such, but just wanted to give y'all a heads up just in case!
Agree that the feedback was very good! I liked the different attack effects.
Fun entry! I enjoyed the concept of the crumbling floor to fit in the theme, and even used it in combat a few times.
As a heads up, I think there may be a scale issue in the web player- The window is super zoomed in, and I cant click anything past the start menu:Capture.PNG (Going fullscreen doesnt fix it unfortunately.
Fantastic little world you've made here! I enjoyed going around and interacting with everyone.
Very cool concept, and really fits the theme well! Wouldn't have thought of something like this, but it makes sense!
Graphics are nice and cohesive, though unfortunately, I didn't seem to be able to figure out how to get very far- I walked to the right till I got to the spear room, then it kept jumping me back to the start, so I couldn't go left or right. I also was only able to move when holding up/down as well as the direction key I wanted. Let me know if I'm missing something, I'd like to try some more!
Bonus points for enabling key rebinding! Also enjoyed how you made the changing of size an important mechanic.
Clever concept! One thing that would have been helpful to me (maybe I missed it somewhere), would be how each of the animals interact with each other. It's mostly intuitive, but some were a bit unclear.
Really enjoy the particle effects, has a lot of weight behind the motion.
You should win just based on the name, but the game was incredibly entertaining too! I Think that I managed to get to the end of the map, and it kinda glitched out, but the combo of the music and the swirling table was great!
Just a heads up, I'm getting a 404 on the download link.
Hey there, as a heads up, looks like all your github links are 404ing, might be a permissions issue.
No prob! Just played, very fun! Also good use of animations and particles, everything felt very responsive!
