The title cracks me up. I love the progressive explanation of mechanics and in-game tutorial. Maintaining proper energy levels and timing with the turrets is a good balance of fun and challenging. The game is clever and well-balanced, the challenge increase feels natural. The puzzles are engaging and make me want to keep trying at it, even when I keep dying it isn't a frustrating experience. Momentum is intuitive and smooth. The aesthetics are nice, it's easy to look at and the sound effects are fun. It was vaguely reminiscent of Linerider.

Jumping can be a little finicky on sharp corners and some of the timing with the turrets seems to need to be *too* exact, or maybe I'm just missing something haha. When I discovered the double-jump I was like OHHH.

[This](///raw/dea/a/z/64ba.png) level is currently giving me a run for my money, I can get over to the right but timing that jump up onto the left ledge is super tricky.

I'm going to keep trying at it and if I get through it I'll update!

Overall a really fun little game, definitely going to be keeping this cute little robot!

Nice game! I'm not quite sure I understand the mechanic, as I wasn't able to consistently get past the turrets, but I enjoyed the game feel, and that it was an entirely momentum based platformer. Also really enjoyed that running out of power did something other than making you lose.

Please don't upload installers. Game Maker allow you to export a simple .zip file. I won't install it. Maybe I'll download the source and try it that way.

*Update: so I downloaded the project and ran it through Game Maker. Glad I'm did. The game is very well done, the controls and movement feel very polished, the graphics and sound are good. Solid entry. Really fun to play game. Also there's many levels with different mechanics all introduced progressively in the right order and time.*

Amazing idea, really cool way to do platforming puzzles. I think there's plenty you could do with this, and the pacing is excellent in this little demo of the idea. Really good.

Some notes: - Not a big fan of an installer rather than just an exe download. Don't think it's necessary, particularly for game maker. - Jumping is pretty broken. I raged a few times because when I jumped I would go super high and hit a ceiling and lose all my momentum and have to try again like 50 times. Seems to happen mostly on slopes. Besides this bug I didn't notice anything wrong with the physics.

Good work!

This game has nice mechanics, and it was fun to play, though the level with the turrets is really hard.

The premise is good, in some places the battery runs longer than the distance to get away from a charger so you have to sit there for ~5 seconds and let your battery die before you enter a turret's range. The level design for some levels is great while others leave you rolling for a long time when you start the level, leading to luls when you reset and have to wait before you can start playing again. Barring that, the idea is wonderful, the implementation is great, and the art looks good!

Having to install the game rather than it just being a runnable executable is a bit of a hastle though.

I really enjoyed playing your game. I am amazed at how many interesting puzzles you have created. The little bot is fun to control. I love the momentum puzzles you really have to trust the game sometimes more than your intuition allows. I find the game rewards risk takers rather than punishing them. Really neat!

Really loved the game, very unique, Awesome job designing it. I don't think I would change much, probably just allow players to burn down the energy without needing to wait or to walk (possibly by pressing S). Also, you could change the build name to the game's title

Thanks for the feedback all! I've changed to an exe, completely forgot to change the output.

Really clever use of the mechanics, specially those moments where you have to run out of energy on purpose.

I also like the progression of mechanics and difficulty, it's surprisingly smooth for a LD game.

Good job!

Overall a really fun game! I love the mechanics with the speed and energy, and the graphics are gorgeous! As someone has already stated; the jumping is pretty broken on slopes which resulted in me not finishing the game, unfortunately. Other than that "small" bug this is an amazing game compared to the time limit

erkberg 2017-08-03 20:24

Really good puzzle platformer! The graphics work well for the game and the mechanics are pretty damn clever. The best feeling you get from this is when you just run out of power, are still going and have to hope that everything will go well further down the road (and it does ^^). The sound effects sometimes gave me a bit of a heart attack and the jumping on slopes is kinda broken but also quite fun. Really enjoyed this one, good job!

mamoniem 2017-08-05 10:28

Good job. You have a lot of nice ideas there around your core puzzle mechanic. I loved the overall game, and it is not even as buggy as the most of the games made in a rush.

Nice platformer where you have to think a lot! Quite polished a lot of levels. The movement could use a little tweaking, but very solid work!

markwolf 2017-08-06 03:38

Graphics are bit too simplistic but help the game being easily readable. I like the concept which, to some extent, makes me think about Portal (without portals). That makes me think that a kind of story with cinematics as a red line could be a nice touch to a final and commercial version.

pavel-kouril 2017-08-12 14:08

The turrets are hard to avoid, but all-in-all, this game was good.

Some randomness in the sounds (e.g, in pitch) could be nice to make the sounds not as repetitive imho, but other than that, it was quite fitting.

The controls felt fine as well, maybe the jump was too high all the time. Shame there wasn't option to jump less. :)

kerdelos 2017-08-12 20:32

My antivirus ( Avast ) thinks it's dangerous and won't let me run it :'(

randomphantom 2017-08-14 16:03

Cool concept with nice puzzles that provide increasing challenge. The game feels kind of laggy and doesn't run very smooth on my pc though. Also, it could be resolved with a reset but the game feels a little slow at times e.g. if I'm out of battery and waiting for the robot to just slowly make its way through turrets. Cool entry!
