Nice and challenging one. It's a bit hard to grasp at the beggining mainly because of the wall of text at the start. Good take on the theme!

I loved VVVVV and your game reminded me of it a lot. The level design is was very good, for a 48h game they weren't all trivial and very good.
I really laughed a lot with the final level, after you beat the game.
I think you have a very fun concept. I fail to see the connection to the theme, but besides that I really found it fun and something you could tweak to be pretty cool.
I can't play your game because I don't have Windows nor OS/X and this means that I can't install Unity player. Perhaps another member of my team will find and rate your game.

The only problem I got was dying if I walked of ledges but survived if I jumped, it felt a little of, that's all.
Besides that I really enjoyed it, I love platformers and yours is pretty nice.
The game is awesome.
The enemies are not very balanced, though. And the game could have some checkpoints.
Please explain how to play it.
That's a good take on a HTML5 game. Also reminds me of minicraft. :)
Nice take on the theme! One of the most original entries. I laughed when I saw who you were and what you had to do.

Thanks for the comments in our game.
Your game is kinda hard to play, the controls are not very responsive, but the satellite idea was pretty cool!
A very fun game. Congratulations on your entry, I really enjoy it.
I not only had to give permissions to your binary (running on linux), I also had to give permissions to every file your binary tried to access. Still, it wasn't enough as it needed libraries I didn't had. You only included the .dll version for them.
This is a pity, it looked interesting.
Loved it. The concept is perfect, although I don't know if it relates a lot to the theme. It's really fun, I would just want it to be a little bit more difficult, because as soon as you understand how it works you always win. Could be grand with some tweaking. Great job
Good mechanics behind this game, and fits great with the theme. Also liked the mood of it, with some more levels it would be perfect.
Your jar doesn't launch for me either, I get an "Unsupported major.minor version 51.0".
I think you can do ports after the deadline.

Its good to see other graphic adventures in LD. Its a bit short, but the 48h are also short. :)
Kudos with the procedurally generated music.
We almost did an ant game too! I like the fact that you worry about a brain damaged buddy! :P
Great name. didn't reach the end though, its really easy to die (you can't turn back middle-jump), and when you do die, it's aaaaall from the begining again...

Very, very good. Simple but original mechanics, easy to start but difficult to win. Good graphics. Liked a lot.

Good concept, but with a not so good result, in my opinion. It took me some time to figure out how to play, which could be fixed with some graphics and a tutorial (different from the small text you've written).
There is very little feedback: does the game have an end, are the levels really increasingly difficult or they're just randomly generated? etc
Apart from the initial problem of understanding how to play, I found it difficult to loose (if it's not impossible at all).
Finally your sound didn't work for me, I had to play the nosound version. But I believe it's good from what I see in the other comments..

I believe I have the same problem as Kvisle.

@FaBrito
O personagem move-se com as teclas direcionais, barra de espaços para examinar objectos e Tab para abrir o inventário. Podes ainda escrever ordens com o teclado.
E somos portugueses. :)
@omaha, you have to press "ENTER" to make the text advance :) Controls are disabled while the character is "talking", except for some special ocasions. The "first level" is just a small dream.
@AlwaysGeeky Yes, they were, in a drawing tablet. Our artists are awesome :)
Thank you all for your comments!
@EvilCult yeah, definitely, we know we have problems with some hitboxes, and we have solved most (if not all) of them. We will post soon a new link with the new version with all those annoyances tweaked!
@samwoakley the framerate is not dipping in cutscenes, we just don't have a lot of frames for the cutscenes, since they are all hand drawn and made in 3 days (all together with a lot more of art!)
Thank you all for commenting on our game. Please tell us about every good and bad thing about it so we can make better games!

@liger13 , @Tinco & Jeroen - If you got stuck, check out the new walkthough videos (the link is on top of the page). If you are playing the improved version, you can even try the built-in hint system by typing 'hint'.
@KevinWorkman
The post-compo version actually have an in-game hint system (just type 'hint'). And we also have the walkthroughs just in case someone got stuck.
Anyway, thanks for trying our game.
Original and refreshing! Liked the ending too.
The music choice is indeed great, gives great mood, although it's not yours.
By far, this is the game that I most enjoyed. Congratulations!
I'd like it to be longer!

One of my favorite entries so far. Great little story, with just a couple of rectangles as characters. Very well done!

Very fun and a really good idea. Played it some times with some friends. Simple yet fun and a bit addictive.
My thoughts are the same as hazzen's. I liked the game a lot, but I spent 95% of the time shooting those useless cubes. It's a shame that it's too short too, I do see a lot of potential!
I loved the art and ambient you gave the game. I felt the gameplay itself could be more tuned (I figured out really late that I myself was colliding and damaging my planet, the controls are difficult, etc.), on the otherside, the minimap, per example, was crucial and quite useful.

It got me playing for quite a while. I like this kind of games. Nice job.

I really liked the graphics, the inspiration taken from limbo is notorious. However I found it a bit repetitive and in the end too easy. It still works great and has a very nice idea behind it.
I really enjoy this old-stile platformers, even more when they have the "gameboy green" look and feel. Very nice entry.

Cool relaxing game. I enjoyed it.
Simple but very effective mechanics. Original concept. Liked it a lot!

The idea is very cool and I love the simple "retro" graphic style. The downside is that the game is extremely easy, if you tuned the difficulty a bit it would be great. I would also prefer if I could interact with the game during the fight, repairing and stuff, although the lack of this interaction may not be what you intended for your game and I don't consider it a bad thing being the case.
The chaos in the final levels is really enjoyable and was my favorite part of the game.
The idea is pretty great but in the end you just spam your units.
Looking forward to see what you come up with after implementing the new features.

Awesome, loved it.
Uau, a really cool game. I played for too long, it really got me hooked. Nice job!
I really liked the game. Nice mechanics and nice idea! Very challenging. Congratulations

took me a while to understand which planet I was, since I orbited out of my window and I'm very far from the light. Took too long to wait for missiles to go out of the screen. But I thought the game was fun and I liked how you set the mood
Great game!
Lovely graphics, innovative gameplay and a whole lotta fun!
We hope for you to continue making games for Ludum Dare!
Quite a nice and simple game, I have a question, though... why 'j' to save the world?
We talked about doing something like this during our initial brainstorming, Glad someone had the same idea and did a very nice game with it.
Like almost everyone, I liked the mood, the graphics and the mechanics. I just didn't like the fact that I was stuck in a part where there are dozens of red eyes and I can't leave nor die. But I player the compo version, so I guess it's just a temporary bug. Good job!

Nice platform puzzle game. Really cool.
Got to the end! yeyyy
Same here, can't play it on linux with a similar error.
Inês Almeida from Evil Sandwich Studios
Your game gives me an "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl in java.library.path" exception.
Very nice implementation, I was surprised that the shots got through the obstacles (like trees). I spent a lot of time hiding behind stuff and that was unnecessary. I'm not saying that they shouldn't though, it actually became part of the mechanics. There are also some tweaks missing (like when you lose, you should either be born on the same spot, or you should have to do it all again, not go back to the beginning but with all the enemies killed). Anyway, this are all minor things for a 72 our competition :-)
