I didn't quite understand what was going on (I just kept jumping on the guys and collecting food till I died), but the art was very nice!

Awesome game! I ran into the vaporize bug too, where I couldn't use it after the run-through.
Really well done, kept me quite entertained. Nice job.
Thanks for the comment! And yeah I struggled with that because it would definitely be more intuitive to do it reverse like you suggested, but aesthetically it looks nicer for the alien to be walking forwards around the planet.
Nice concept. I wasn't sure how to do better than the pirates - I tried building castles up and then catapults, but I always seemed to be losing.
We have similar themes with the egyptians and aliens haha. Very unique concept! Like an old-school grass-mowing simulator. I could see this gaining value with things like a shop for upgrades, varieties of wheat, etc. Nice ending animation!
Couldn't figure out how to start. Would love to try again because the graphics look interesting. Could you give a small text tutorial?
Awesome success for 48 hours! The 3D looked really smooth, and the animations with the unfolding and sand looked really good.
At first, I missed the button and ventured off until the map ended XD
Cool game! I couldn't get past the first red level - tried going to the left, and going up, but couldn't get past those spikes at the top.
The mechanic was pretty cool with transporting to the black cloud, that level with the spikes was a great level of difficulty. Also, I enjoyed the jumping animation - made the character look very frail.
Hey grats on the first jam game! I do wish I could have seen which ones I got right and wrong - would have been cool to learn about.
@KLegacy It requires a bit of thinking and experimenting at that point. I won't give away the next step, but maybe I didn't make it as obvious as I hoped. Thanks for playing though!
@swampie thanks! I'm a coder turned artist so that means a lot. after getting the gun, try shooting around.
@abhimonk Thanks a ton! Really happy to hear you finished it. (SPOLERS) I think I should have gave a clue to the key besides the rock being a different color. Thanks for playing.
@CMLSC Thanks dude! The body is just some guy with the mind control helmet on :p. I wanted it to be like actual hieroglyphics.
@ninjanic Thanks for playing, and glad you enjoyed the art! glad you eventually figured it out, that seems to be the roadblock for most people.
@sn0uk Thanks a lot!
@brookzerker Happy you like the art! :) Hint: Look for something out of place to shoot.
@Move127 Thank you!
@dhalvin Thanks for the kind words! *SPOILERS* I honestly didn't intend for the creed symbol to point at the rock like that, but it kind of works, huh? Haha
@MirrorPolygons Thanks! That means a lot.
@brainybeard Thanks for playing! You need to shoot stuff with the gun :) I don't want to give anything else away.
@Sakaki Thank you! As for where you got stuck it's less your brain that you need and more your gun :)
@mvieira Thanks!
@tomer_cool That was the goal :)
@AwesomeDannyRay Good point, they blend in a little too well. Thanks for playing!
@BinaryProvider Thanks a lot!
@edve98 Yeah, the body shows you have the mind control device, but it isn't very clear I agree and seems random in retrospect. But it was an intermediate decision that I didn't see value in fixing when there were other things to do. Same goes for music. In a jam you only have time for so much :)
@KingEthaniel Thanks for the feedback! I think I'm most proud of trying to mix the adventure/action, look forward to trying that again in the future. As for the progression *SPOILERS* you need to find something else in the room to shoot, maybe something off-color..
Awesome game! This is what I think everybody should strive for in a jam game - a fully working game that you can finish. I'm still not sure what the difference between laser and missile attacks were, but I assume missile did more damage since it was a resource.
Really enjoyed the freedom of hopping around wherever I wanted and being able to escape the pirate boss's when I got low. Well done!
Cool game! Grats on finishing your first one - of all the "first" games I've seen, this one is definitely near the top. The hunting was challenging but not too much, and the 2D on 3D environment was done well.
Some tips: it would be good to give the player more feedback that shooting an animal enough times kills it. For awhile I thought they were running away when I killed them and I almost quit. Also, the speed at which the animal runs away varies a little too much - it might be a matter of a high cap on the random speed or the perspective affecting the perceived distance.
Great work! I've seen some guides online for making gamebody games and they've all seemed very complicated.
My high score was 17 :)
Very creative game! Great idea for a jam game since there's so much replay-ability. I got 7 endings, and it kept me entertained throughout. The art was also solid.
Nice concept - haven't seen it done in this way before! Don't go for the collectibles at the top! You will die!
