very nice entry :)
The spinning makes it super hard to see what the objects are. Very interesting concept though and a nice bit of history!
Thanks - you can slow down the rate of spin with the down arrow (but it reduces the score too).
I like the take on the theme, and the art. Also, the idea with rotating items is itneresting.
I found it a bit too hard to guess from ten possible answers. I would reduce it to three and then go up while progressing.
I like the art, it would be cool if the moderator has some little animation, but that's polishing and not so important here)
Annoying rotation, bit hard because of that.
Art is nice though.
@nander thanks, you can slow down the rotation with the down arrow though
Really fun quiz game and a great idea. The only downside was that the game was quite loud when I launched it.
I like the eight bit music style / art style :D
Even though it's a short quiz, there are many options to choose so you really have to think about the answer, and also the end if a bit funny so extra points for that :D
Hey grats on the first jam game! I do wish I could have seen which ones I got right and wrong - would have been cool to learn about.
Quiz game, or just a quiz...?. Spinning was a little disorienting after a while. You missed an opportunity to teach people by not showing which was the correct answer. Must have taken a long time to find a source for obscure objects.
Love the ending! And those are great sprites, next time you'll be set to make something visually stunning for sure!
good quizz and the rotation is a good idea
nice quiz. need easy level for beginners. spinning too fast can't see. I don't know a single thing from the list :( need a shorter list to have a chance to guess.
interesting idea really hard to see when everything spinns around but i guess thats kind of the point! and i suppose i also need some more historical knowledge before i can be good at this game
Thanks for all the kind comments :D
Almost everyone seems to have missed the point that you can slow down the rotation completely by pressing the down arrow - the instructions are on both screens but I obviously didn't make a good job of highlighting that fact.
With regard to knowing which ones you got right, these are named and shown in red/green on the final screen. I wanted to have a picture next to all of them but there wasn't room with the existing layout.
I have a serious issue with the spinning. And yes, I know you can slow it down. But the game punishes you for stopping the spinning, making you get dizzy from staring at blurry spinny things in the hopes of getting a few more points.
All in all, it works, but I just couldn't keep going for more than a single round.
Got a score of 294! Good quiz game, learned quite a few tools that I didn't know about. The graphics and the music was very cute the relaxing, really good game :) Yes I do want to see the pictures next to the answers too, that would be nice.
It works, so much, intresting concept. But i don't want play it even more than 4 tries.
Hey nice quiz game. Thumbs up!
Nice to see you using Löve! Awesome idea, the rotating things could have been a little bit bigger but that's just me and my bad eyes. The descriptions were great - really inventive and cryptic. Had a lot of fun with this one. My highscore is only 206...
Interesting game. But quite hard. Funny positive and negative descriptions of the items.
Right on with the theme, and pretty impressive catalog of obscure tools. Very nicely done!
Love2d sounds cool too, I’ll have to check that out. Great to see so many Linux supported / web games.
Nice entry! The rotations can get a bit dizzying, but overall good game.
Great idea, and the best theme-fitting entry I've tried. Spinning makes me dizzy, I had to stop all of them, but had much fun trying to identify them and, specially, reading the descriptions.
Great little quiz! I can see why you added the spinning, though I can also see why people don't like it. The best bit are the descriptions and silly puns at the end :)
Also, thank you for pointing out the existence of Piskel. It's exactly the tool I've been looking for for several LDs, and was considering writing myself.
