Oh, I liked how you used the theme! There's so much potential in the mechanics...
Oh man, those controls... I can't reach the smoothness of controls in this game in months for my own platformers. :)
Well done!
Cool graphics! Reminded me Binding of Isaac somehow. Game itself seems to have promising puzzle mechanics. Good job.
Hah, not played so many games yet but my first 5 stars for fun goes to you :)
Didn't like the alpha-noise on the front of everything, would be nice to find a better solution for post-compo version if you plan to do.
I really, really liked the fast paced combat mechanics in this game, well done! Art style spoke perfect with me as well.
I wanted to write a comment, then saw @omaha wrote exactly what I thought.
"Seriously though, this was cool." Good job!
Thanks for all the great comments! Button stuck issue was actually a design decision (it gets faster for it to register) The idea was to give a feeling of rhythm to the players but I think it was a bad idea :)
Removed it for the post-compo version, we also made a performance deal sponsorship with kongregate, so... Yay!
First 5 stars on mood!
very nice implementation of the theme. I liked figuring out how the controls work. it was fun.
really fun, got the sense of loop hero a lot, which is not a bad thing at all. kinda similar to what I tried to achieve in this jam (design wise). given the time constraint, the balance is not that off imo. gg wp
good job, one of the best entries. /comfort

really well made, it shows how much soul went into this. congrats. loved the fish designs, especially the weird ones u see when u get deeper.
oh, I'm in love with this one. really clever use of the theme. smart puzzles. difficulty was great for my taste. I struggled in the last one for a few minutes but felt really nice after solving it. great work mate!

hey, I'm glad I found this game. it was a short nice experience. fully complete. I feel good now, and kinda peaceful after getting a quite good score. cheers. gonna go sleep now. <3
I didn't get the point. still liked the silent scream. <3
even though I always make really complicated games with lots of rules and mechanics, I really enjoy games made of simple rules and elegant designs. having to turn back is such a brilliant idea that makes the game so much more than what it is and links it to theme perfectly in my opinion. for me, it's significantly harder to make simple games really fun, and it turns out you achieved it, in just 3 days. so, big kudos to you.
just started my fourth run and before I continue playing, gotta say. wow... this is so elegant in design. so many little pieces that are executed really well. kudos
I really enjoy the games that focus on the fun aspect, and this one nailed it for me. a great effort, team. feels really polished and kept me playing for the last half hour.
love how consistent the game is with its art and music. I like the different mechanics in each level. def. one of the best I played in this jam so far.
to be honest, couldn't manage to use some of the interactions in the game (like taking a file, the button didn't work) and there wasn't any message why I couldn't as well. so I played around, tried interacting with the env. and couldn't figure out what to do in the end. that's a bummer because I really enjoyed the atmosphere and general feeling of the game. congrats! great vo :P
thanks a lot everyone, we're thrilled you enjoyed the game!
@goutye that's not a bad score at all, my personal high score is 32!
@a333 I totally get that it's not everyone's cup of tea. I feel like if the shooting itself is not very interesting, it gets old after a while. I feel that this game requires more player agency even if it's not shooting though.
@grimsbaldruk totally agree that the game needs an onboarding before it becomes automatic. thanks for the feedback!
@landosystems this is great feedback since all I wanted with this design was to make players do that cost-benefit analysis several times during a session. it's good to know I failed on that, but I have some ideas how to improve it both by changing some mechanics and adding more visual feedback about what's going on. thanks!
Hey everyone, thanks a ton for the encouraging comments!
@virimine sadly there are some completely hidden mechanics in the game right now that could be much better presented. one of them is that every time you dive, enemies yield 5÷ more xp towards leveling up. so for a high score, it makes sense to dive as much as possible instead of farming xp in the beginning levels. (but also being careful not to overdive)
the numbers represent how much damage those skills did (in total) and percentage-wise (dividen by total damage u dealt) it was a last hour feature we added in the game so ui really doesnt explain itself.
very glad u enjoyed the game, thanks once again.
I'm always surprised to see so polished games in such a short amount of time. kudos! hope to see this game evolve after the jam. it can totally be a short little steam game.
you know, I was planning to go to sleep early tonight.. thanks for not letting that happen
I'm just happy that this exists. Gives hope. Not gonna mention how jealous i am. But really, mostly happy playing it and enjoying how elegant it is.
had fun until it crashed for unknown reasons, I wasn't doing anything strange. I think we are too spoiled with modern rts's that when it doesn't have some important features (which takes a long time to develop!), it becomes a bit tiring to control lots of units at the same time. regardless, I'm a sucker for these type of games and I enjoyed it while it lasted. so many room to improve though, hope you continue developing it. cheers.
those turtle looking spiders man... (gg wp)
did u smoke anything while doing the art? heh, I love it. the randomness for the level seems to play a huge factor in doing high score. played for a while, enjoyed it while it lasted. really nice effort for your first jam. congrats!
yay, getting more power and mining very quickly feels very good. hard to do anything about some blocks exploding and taking half of your power especially when there's the orange flashy thing following you all the time. I enjoyed it, but feels lots of parts are incompleted (well, that's how the jams go). curious to play if you decide to develop it further. kudos!
hey nice use of theme! controls are almost perfect. (a bit difficult with the keyboard as most of the times it requires going tiny bit of left or right.) love the atmosphere, i don't know why but i really enjoy games where the main character is tiny. overall I really enjoyed, great job! *just a question, does the music progress with the distance in the game? if so, great! if not, maybe the beginning part was a bit too long. I was about to complain about the music but then it got interesting. really fits the mood.
nice effects and aesthetics you have there going! the game itself feels uncompleted, but that's the way jams go, right? good job to whole team. (one time I fell, i fell right behind a gate door, which protected me from all the enemies. it was a nice coincidence i guess :D)
wow, what a nice looking gem this is. has really smooth controls and feels extremely well polished. I just wanted to keep digging.
my question is, when can I throw my money on steam to buy this?
