A really nice game. Quite impressive for a game jam! The graphics and music set a really nice mood. A nice thing to have would be if your survivors automatically go back to the storage to drop their resources. Awesome game!

thanks a lot for your comment @daspanjo this was a surely intense Game Jam and reading your comment is really motivating !
I realy like the game, it's good to play, the soundtrack is beautiful, the concept is realy good too, and the art is amazing, good game
Pretty nice game. Loved the art and the music :)
Couldn't get too far with only a touch pad. Right click is a little finicky. interesting concept, audio is really nice esp the music.
The game looked really amazing and the mechanics were really well done once I got the hook ^^ A little visual feedback which worker I have selected would have helped a little, since sometimes I didn't know whether the game reacted or not. Unfortunately the game crashed two times in the game and I don't know why. It just stopped responding :( But from what I saw the game looked pretty impressive and good ^^
i like this the drawing style and fine music
@pink-spaceman Thanks for the feedback, very appreciated
@numex Thanks alot, the music is not ours, there are informations about it in the description
@zerocomms We haven't worked on supporting other control than mouse+keyboard but it's maybe something to look into :)
@drskort Thanks, we noticed the selection display would have been nice but didn't had the time to actually add it. Haven't had crash myself but thanks for the warning/informations :)
@kenforest thanks for your feedback, like I said the music we 'just' choosed it, informations is available on the project description.
Nice game! Strong Age of Empires vibes. Would be nice to explain what exactly do various building do. It would also be cool to have the workers automatically return to the warehouse & then search for resource again (you know, like in Age of Empires :D). Unfortunatelly, the game freezed at some point (I was playing the web version), so I couldn't progress. Anyways, promising game, great job!
Thank you all for your comments ! @lisyarus @drskort we will try to do something for the freeze, we are really sorry for this bad experience. There are so much things we wanted to add but didn't get the time for it like more feedback for the player and more autonomy. That can be some nice idea for a future update post Ludum dare thanks !
And thank you again for appreciating the gameplay and the art (I'm so happy that you appreciate the art :D)
We pushed a new web_gl version (1.0.4) not released as a standalone binary yet, that should take care of freezes/lags/crashes
A city builder is ambitious for LDJam! I encountered some sort of leak or slowdown on the Firefox browser that crashed the game (looks like you know about that, though). Good job overall, it was a cool idea, too.
Could use some animations for the workers, I couldn't tell if they were just standing there or actually working. The building graphics look great, and I like the concept. Maybe a bit ambitious for a game jam but at least you have something you can work with. I think it could be a fun game with some more development :)
As others have said some animations for the workers and a progress bar would have helped manage everything a bit, I think I broke some pathfinding too as I couldn't move some workers! But there's a lot of mechanics in a game developed for a game jam so great effort
@nvrskipgameday thank you for your comment, we fix a new crash that was du to killing the robots in idle, their should, I hope, not be anymore freeze.
@bigbadbison We were missing so much time I would have really love to add more animation but couldn't. You can have some small feedback with the sound, but I know its totally not enough. , thanks for your comment =)
@itsonrandom Thank you for your message ! Yeah it can take some times to manage to control the worker efficienlty the misses some feedback and polishing. That was quite a hard challenge we made, but despite that is miss somme feature we are still proud of the result.
And again thank you all for your comments, it's really heartwarming !
Boy that is a large map. I don't know what happened the first time but left and right clicking didn't do much. As it appeared to have worked for others I tried again. To be honest I enjoyed the game the most to play someone elses game and go back to this one to click some more. I didn't had the patience to watch things going forward. But playing like that I enjoyed it  Edit: Hmm and then I lost my guys :( must be those evil robots. what a shame that they were around
This was fun. If you were to expand it later, making the people look a little different could help tell them apart better. Even if its just different colored shirts.
@mdotedot thanks for the feedback, yeah those evil robots really love slaughtering your workers.
@turquoise-moon thanks, we're totally aware of that, we were too short on time to implement it for the JAM though.
thanks @mdotedot thanks a lot, i'm glad you enjoy it ! Did you manage to get the victory ? I'm sur you can get it ! For the click it is quite tricky as for example the trunck of the tree cannot be clicked, of if your worker is near a building it can be the building that is selected. You can check the UI on the to right to see what you selected.
And thanks @turquoise-moon also ! The color of the workers as a lot of other small feature could'nt make in time but it was wanted features from us as well (there is somewhere an asset of a red cross to tell the player he can't do an action, bu it couldn't be integred in the game =(
For the ludum dare we can't add new features, but maybe later we will be able to upgrade the game ^^
Game crash/freezes should be no more as of 1.0.6, apologies for the ones who got their gameplay ruined because of it
This was great, I hadn't played an RTS like Game in ages, well made for a 3 day effort!
This game was so sick!! the art was adorable, the gameplay was intuitive and the controls were responsive! Very impressive for a jam game! You should be proud!
thanks a lot for your comments @dom-de-re and @bungalow this is really motivating !
had fun until it crashed for unknown reasons, I wasn't doing anything strange. I think we are too spoiled with modern rts's that when it doesn't have some important features (which takes a long time to develop!), it becomes a bit tiring to control lots of units at the same time. regardless, I'm a sucker for these type of games and I enjoyed it while it lasted. so many room to improve though, hope you continue developing it. cheers.
Nice RTS jam! Cute graphics and sounds. Good job guys!
Holy crap this is really ambitious for a jam game and you pulled it off well! The core concept and mechanics are nice.
I think if you work on the feedback it could become a great game for a full release. (Which worker is selected, if you tell them to do an action that they can't do, notify with a sound and a message why not, progress bars for building, etc). There's just a bit of a learning curve with a game like this, and even with your tutorial, players will try to do some things that aren't allowed. That feedback would go a long way.
@batiali I'm sorry to hear that you got a crash, we will look if we find a repro/ fix it
@doctortm The sound is not from us, you can find the credits in the description, But thank you a lot to find the graphisme cute =D
@mhorth There are so much thing we would like to add for a full release, thanks for the tips !
I like this game ,but I really think we need some game feedbacks like warcraft or starcraft ,works seem alive ,anyway nice joob
Great game! There's so much detail here. One thing would be nice is if the selected objects have a highlight around them, so, maybe like two highlight colors, one when an object is selected and the other being the "go to here" grid square to be highlighted. Just some visual cues would be awesome. Great graphics, sounds and controls. Thanks for the game.
I'm really glad you like it @olddog, thank you ! We are currently working on a post jam version with more feedback =)
thanks @geo3d ! This is not push yet but we add this week some visual for a selected item, there is still a long road but we wanted to work a little more on this game.
Two things from my side: - all the characters are called the same, I easily mixed them up. - because they have no animation, I couldn't understand who does what at the moment.
Despite these, the fact you managed to put this together in 2-3 days, it's really impressive!
@mudlee Yeah the fact that they have the same name and the same appearance is a bad case of features missing ^^ That was part of the plan but unforeseen problems kinda forced us to cut in the project ! We are making a post jam version where we include those features actually
Very interesting, this type of game is usually very complex, it is not easy to see in the game jam. The character selection is a bit confusing, perhaps the selected character could have a border or the mouse could drag to select character in a range like in a real-time strategy game.
