well done great result art is gorgeous!)
This is a really interesting idea! The UI healthbar in the top left seemed a bit out of place for me, but otherwise, I think it's a nice game! The new additions made definitely are somethin' interesting, such as being pulled towards objects.
Really well done, simple but effective design
This is a lovely game! The music is incredibly beautiful. I felt there were some missed opportunities for visual/sound effects; for example, hitting a nazar just restarts the level immediately, and it's a little hard to tell when the karakulas have hit the lava. Aside from that, the 2D visuals look very good! The character designs and animations were interesting and well done, and the tiles were very clean and polished. The camera shake when the karakulas get too close is cool. Dialogue was engaging and poetic. The level design was clever; I felt like each level sort of put a new twist on the previous one. I like the interesting consequences of eating food on the ground to regain health. The difficulty was challenging, but fair. The final boss was awesome, and I really enjoyed the ending. Great job overall!
This is a beautiful game with lovely music and a touching story. I like how eating the durum really makes it FEEL impossible to tackle a level, even if you need it sometimes to stay alive and continue the story. The music is beautiful as well. Wonderful work :)
love how consistent the game is with its art and music. I like the different mechanics in each level. def. one of the best I played in this jam so far.
It's a lovely game, especially, I liked the 2d art, Great stuff!
I really like the mechanics and there are so many. I believe there is lots of potential here in this concept, you can easily expand the game, but for the jam version it is already great.
It is also good to see a game with an ending in game jam, and I especially like the ending.
Amazing visuals and music, with an interesting story for a game jam. My only problem was the enemy chasing, they felt so fast and they're stucking into the player and completely blocks the movement. I know that they are meant to chase player and block them, but I think it's a bit much. Also, health bar is not fitting with the other visual elements in the screen. Otherwise, I really admired the overall style of the game, and enjoyed a lot! Keep up the good work <3
This was really cool! I like how the instructions in every level hint that something more is going on here without giving everything away--I think it showed real depth here. Congrats on finishing your game, I'm glad to have played it!
Very nice visuals and overall mood!
Damn! That ending totally caught me off guard. So yeah pretty good game overall. Floor 5 had issues with me as so far our goal was to evade enemies and just grab the key, but in 5th floor after grabbing all keys i still had to kill the enemies through lava which took me many tries as it seems there was only one way to finish that level by going left first. Door got in way too, evading enemies i got stuck on door and was surrounded by enemies leading to well restart of floor. Nazars though that was pretty cool idea i probably haven't seen it many games.Would have loved more levels of use of those Nazars. Food was also pretty neat idea different from usual health pickups. Art is also pretty nice. Overall pretty good game.
Thank you everyone!
@ansh-mishra I have just updated the game. Now the door doesn't block us.
Absolutely gorgeous game with amazing music. I loved the character design. Only thing I'd say is the mouse controls were included a little too late. Generally if it's a mouse and keys game you want to do something with the mouse, if not just a cursor, from the get go to tell people that it will be needed. Minor thing, but important one.
Cool game, thank for submitting it on my stream!
Finally i have a separe time to play this game. You had managed to overcome the theme both mechanically and story-wise.
Every level has a unique gameplay mechanic and I find it as a player a blessing but as a game designer can I ask a question, "how dare you :D" Just use the same mechanic in three levels to extend the game time. Please take it as a joke :)
Turkish mythology is always an interest of me. Kams-Erlik-Alkarisi-Nazar, both of them have very deep lore and waiting to be expressed by us. You rocked hard handling with this lore and including these into a jam game.
The only minor thing that bothers me getting stuck between walls and mobs. And also eating food really slows me down, maybe a little bit of balancing will help the game flow a lot.
I enjoyed a lot! Great work as always, Ahmet!
The game is cool, I really liked the fact that in each room a new game mechanic was introduced, the one with the tacos made me laugh. The graphics are also very nice. Good game !
Great game, I loved the aesthetics! The progression feels cool. Congrats!
Oh the twist ending, HA! That was definitely not how I expected the game to end. The artwork is fantastic, (especially the last frame for the twist ending) and I love the story throughout the game.
I definitely found it best to avoid the food, and when my evil clone was fighting me they made the fatal mistake of nabbing all of it, which slowed them down so much that the fight was basically free. Anyway, such a cool game! Great job.

In this video I played your game and five other games. Soon I will make a detailed analysis via comment. :)

Very nice! I'm happy I didn't look at the comments before playing, as the screenshot Gustavo posted definitely spoils the twist at the end
Graphics are great! I especially liked the main character. The music is also spot-on for the atmosphere. Gameplay is fine. Controls feel alright and well-polished, and there is more than enough variety to keep the player's interest throughout the experience.
Seems like it's easy to "cheat" your way out of the consequences of overeating. If you just save eating till you're done with the level (the doors are open, the monsters dead and so on), you can eat all the burritos. You will grow and slow down, but it won't matter, as you are reset back to normal at the start of the next level.
Really nice job on the game!
**Analysis...**
1 - Mechanics, Learning and Flow: The main mechanic is based on collecting keys to advance to the next stage. At each stage new mechanics elements are added, adding to the challenge. Learning how to move is simple, the challenge is to become better at controlling the character depending on each challenge. It took me a while to understand how the element of attraction worked (which is in certain stages), this was what took me the longest, but I noticed that there are very clear clues about it before departure (the clues worked well, and the "attempt and error "on top of each mechanic also allowed learning. In terms of game flow, there are certain challenges initially with the emergence of new challenges, however there is plenty of space to balance/polish the last two challenges (in post-event time, since with Ludum Dare 48 you have achieved an excellent result) . In the stage where there is fire/magma it would be interesting to reduce the collision box a little or to clarify a little better about the fire reaching even the character being levitating (the first time I tried it I found it a little strange, but nothing much, enemies also levitate and I didn’t think it was bad they were hurt
2 - Graphics, Audio and Narrative: I found all the graphics very interesting, although I do not believe that the obscure background matched well with the simplest arts for collectibles (in terms of polishment (after event) I would bet on hating everything in a single visual style, for highlighting the elements better could put a yellow outline around them, as is done with items that can be interacted with in games like Diablo (at least the old ones, which I played the most)). The audio was very nice (in terms of music), I would like to see a little more in terms of SFX, but it was excellent for the time of the event. The narrative is very interesting, with a representation beyond the reality of inner conflicts of the main character (congratulations).
3 - Culture: The game talks directly to situations of anxiety, while also making use of references to games to escape rooms after fulfilling certain conditions. I believe that the game could be further expanded using these concepts (and others from Psychology) by shifting the focus from the main character to those who serve people. It would only be a little strange to control a new character at each stage, with different problems. Still thinking about how problematic this could be, or if the solution would be to have a game franchise (all with a similar focus).
4 - Monetization: In addition to the possibility of making polishment to sell the game as a support or clarification tool, I suppose it can be sold at a low price in stores like itch.io. There is some potential in the case of formatting and expansion (from there it would be a great expansion, with an entire universe being created) so that the persongle would go through several different traumas and challenges and only then would reveal the final treatment plot; so I think it could be sold on Steam to an audience that expects more gameplay time. Anyway, it is worth investigating better what kind of game exists for this niche market and where players find information, and then work on advertising and test whether the game has potential for sale.
a fun game with pretty simple mechanics and an amazing ending. it was interesting to play it. I got stuck on the level with lava, but from 7 times I went through it too. it was impossible to force myself to give up and not complete the game. great job!
