@adrien-dittrick There's also the WebGL link, you should be able to play it directly in your browser. If you can't see the link on the page, it's here: https://juutis.github.io/LD48/
Great game, everything is well executed.
I was in search of this game, cuz I remembered it from ldjam beginning posts! Love it!
Wonderful entry!
The Music and sound effectgs are well suited for the feel of the game, and I love the details you managed to implement, especially how the torpedos and the ship behaves above water!
I found the steering and aiming to be a bit tricky, have you considered using the mouse to control the direction of the submarine?
Nonetheless, a really great and well executed game!
I didn't sleep well, so moving was difficult :) But it looks, feels and sounds amazing! I will return because I want to see what is deeper than the hole after jellyfishes :))
Just played it through. It is a lot of fun, really like the upgrades. The coins should maybe drop a bit slower, I found myself chasing coins a lot :)
Great Job!
The music and the sfx are quite atmospheric. Enjoyable controls and gameplay. A great game to chill out. You've done great!
Good job, it was a nice experience. I'm impressed by the polish of your game. Everything works so smoothly together and it feels really nice playing it. The visuals are pretty neat (the bubbles were so cute) and the audio fits pretty well. Your interpretation of the theme is maybe too basic, but that would be the only "medium" point that I give. Congrats!
I completed the game in one breath, I want more! :) it is very interesting to explore the underwater world, find new enemies and understand that it is too early to face them. Sound (the submarine is coolly voiced), graphics are on top!
Nice game. I like the art and the sound design and music. I found the controls a bit counter-intuitive (which is a problem everyone had with my game, too). It was quite hard to aim at the fish, in my opinion, and a little bit of magnetism to pick up the gold would have been a nice improvement. Overall, though, this was a great entry. Good work!
Very cool! It was a pleasure to explore in my little submarine. Although, with the amount of reckless driving I've been doing, I'm not surprised that people started to be scared to buy my services... even without the interference of a certain heart
The graphics are nice and the sfx are great! I bought all the upgrades and even had 19 bucks leftover. It is a really great jam game - held my interest and worked perfectly.
The only issue I had was with the controls at the beginning. I could not use my mouse to aim (as the keybindings would suggest I should). Aim was fixed in place and all I could do was turn my little submarine. That changed after I bought one of the torpedo upgrades - I started to be able to aim with my mouse. I'm not sure if it's a bug or by design. But if it's by design, you should mention it in keybindings to avoid player confusion.
Anyway, let me repeat my initial statement: very cool :).
Such a neat game. I loved the movement and being able to jump a bit out of the water, although I do wish it was easier to aim the sub's weapon. Music and visuals were very pleasant and calming. Did any of the authors play Operation Neptune when they were younger? This game reminded me of it a bit.
A big game for the little jam. A good bunch of game mechanics. Nice work!
This game is a lot of fun! It controls real well, the shooting is fun, and the upgrades are cool! The only thing I can even think to really improve is upgrade pace. The boxes there helped with the upgrades, but if you died right when you got some, it made the upgrade time longer, causing me to repeat the level loop several times. Nice work!
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Glad you enjoyed our game!
I see a lot of comments about aiming of the torpedoes. I do agree that aiming without the upgrade is clunky and hard. Maybe the "homing effect" shouldn't be on/off like it is now, but rather the torpedoes should always home in on the mouse cursor and the effectiveness of the homing could be upgraded.
@fabula-rasa the aiming mechanic is by design. You make an excellent point! I added a note about the mouse aiming to the key bindings.
@drgrognak never played Operation Neptune. I can definitely see the similarities, though! :grinning:
At last.. a submarine with rotation controls :) great look and feel, favourite sub game yet
wow, couldn't stop until i got all the upgrades, it definitely has its charm. I love meaningful upgrades and not just 0.2% damage on sth I don't care. you nailed it in that aspect. kudos
Really cool game, I enjoyed it a lot :)
Hey matey, thanks for submitting your game to stream! I really enjoyed it, and hope the feedback helped! Here's the vod if ya wanna rewatch;
