This is a lot of fun! I’m real bad at timing games, so I died a *lot* and eventually got stuck on the level where you start with two turrets directly to your left… but that’s just me being bad at timing. The music is really catchy and the sort of glowy effects really make the art pop. Great work.
Cleared the whole game. Controls were a bit weird sometimes, but the deflect felt pretty good. Good job on the gameplay / music / art.
Fun game, good style. There's not much punishment to button spamming. Since you need to be able to spam to hit some shots, maybe have the slice have a ~1s cooldown, but refund it if you deflect a projectile with it?

Great game! Simple concept, but well executed. The only thing I could complain about is colliders, which could give the player a slight advantage. Regards ;)
@adrianejro are you talking about the player's collider? or the sword's collider? Maybe we could post an update after we change the colliders. Thank you for your precious feedback
I really love the gampelay ! the music and sfx was cool, the freeze effect when returning fire really adds a cool effect to the game!

All I didn't like is the restart part not being instant and executed with any key. I think it's an important thing to consider in a game where we keep dying.
I loved the music and visuals, it gives a great 80's vibe.

I kid, but depending on how somebody is listening the audio could really blow someone's butt out.
I will be coming back and finishing this game. It's quite good.

@yigit-doruk I was talking about sword collider. Sometimes i felt like i've done everything right, but then i died. It's like in platformers You should have possibility to jump little bit before touch the ground 😉
@adrianejro I understand what you mean, I think we fixed that collider issue in new version that we published yesterday. I think there should be no problem with the colliders now (I hope haha). Thank you for your feedback again.
Best LD48 game I've ever played so far. In every way it's awesome. The only and only one thing I can complain is easiness of the reflect bullets. I'd like to see a hard mode that reflection of the bullets fully depends on our mouse control. But again it's a really little complain. Amazing game.
@scienitive Thank you for your beautiful comment and feedback, the difficulty curve was the most difficult thing that we tried to adjust :) For some players, the game was hard, but for others it was easy. We published some updates after the release to alter difficulty, but we're still trying to find the "sweet spot" ;) But as you mentioned, it would be nice to have different modes for different players (also a speedrun mode!). If we had more time, we would definitely add those options, but that's what we got for this jam ;)
I cannot believe I finished it! It is soo polished, feels really good and great mechanic. The relation with the theme is only weak point, but I don't care. My strategy was to going back from the bullet and spamming the attack, it helps to avoid mistakes. Really enjoyed it!
HUGE Katana Zero vibes, which is a great thing because I love KZero so much I learned to speedrun it. Maybe because of that the game felt a little quick? I noticed some hitbox inconsistencies, such as the player's injury collision box being larger than the sprite. Other hitbox inconsistencies, like a larger blade hitbox are actually a nice inclusion, but they don't last the entire time the animation is up. Lighting is great, you use normalmapping on the pixel art to support proper 2d realtime shading, which I can appreciate. A lot of work went into this, and with a little more polish it could really be something! Great entry!
@billnotic We used 2D URP lights and pixel perfect for the Lighting, And I'm also a KZero speedrunner hahaha that's why there is a lot of katana zero vibes. Thanks for your feedback!
Great game, good idea, very simple to play and addictive
Great job with the game. It had a nice visual style, good music and the delefection mechanic felt very statifiying especially with the bit of slowdown when you hit. I also though there was a nice difficulty progression as you continued downwards. Two things that could improved the feel slightly is having some feedback when you get hit and reducing the amount of time you spend in the elevator between levels since you spend a decent amount of time just waiting in between each floor. Overall very fun.
Visuals and audio are pretty up there. Sometimes the hitbox would feel weird but overall I feel like I should have moved more.

Boy this was fun! I felt like a super powerful ninja! Thank you! It plays like a very polished game made by a professional studio! Music, visuals, level design, premise, vibe everything was impeccable! Suggestions: I guess the death animation could happen a bit faster, cause i understood that i'm dead through text (r to restart) first and animation after.
Hey! Played while watching Julie play it on stream, it was very fun! The mechanic was very satisfying and the juice of hitting them back was done right with the little pause. The graphics are great and the music was dope too! The level layouts were mostly challenging, although the last two levels seemed easier than some of the earlier ones with more tracking turrets haha.
My only criticism would be the animation thing, sometimes it seemed like I got hit even though my slash anim was directly over the bullet, but it was easy to adapt to and was still fun :) Good job team, keep at it!

Really great game, I enjoyed it ! Sometimes it seems that bullet pass through the katana and player is killed, perhaps a collider to tweak a little bit.
Awesome game! Art style is great and the sounds and music work very well. I'd prefer more instant feedback when you die and also I think player hitbox is slightly too big. Also, there's really no downside to just spamming attack (I don't know if there even should be, just an observation). Also, when you have only one turret left, it sometimes takes a very long time for it to shoot. The gameplay in general is very satisfying. Liked it a lot, great job :)
I didn't think this was my kind of thing at first, but I got through a good chunk of it! Pulling off the reflections is just that satisfying, I love it. It did feel a bit inconsistent, but that might have just been me being bad at it though - I'm willing to admit that. I think the difficulty curve was a little off, though - swapping a few levels around in the middle may help make it a more gradual progression, imo.

It was very fun to play! I loved lightning and pixel art. Dying animation was a little bit rough and the reviving time was long for a this type of "die-and-revieve" game. It's good to see how the team is improving day by day!

The idea and concept its very cool. Music and art are brillian. Two things to suggest, character physics and level design. Maybe to add different types of enemies and layouts. The game is too repetitive. Buts a very good game, comgrats for the team.
