This game is great, I love the gameplay loop. Maybe you could add a store at the surface so we can buy upgrades with the gems. Otherwise, I really dig the music and graphics, everything is very polished. Great work!

Solid game! Made it down to 100 something depth before realizing I also had to come back up using the same path! Ooops.
Overall, I really enjoyed the simplicity of this puzzle game. - I wish I knew I had to path my way back up before playing downward for so long. - Could benefit from more types of rewards (higher value O2 or gems) the deeper you go.
Very cool! i didn't get that you need to come back at first. But realizing it added new layer of planning and made game so nice!
Nice game! I really enjoyed the 'mood'. However, i think there might be a bug: as I went deeper, the charachter went closer to the lower end of the screen; upon "swimming up" after having reached 40ish, the charachter disappeared below the screen, and the things i nedded to click to swim up where outside the screen as well.
Thank you @phlebas glad you liked the game. Sorry that you encountered a problem. Could you please tell me which platform are you playing on? And with what resolution?
Great game! I was addicted to it, I had to force myself to not play it anymore.
At the first time I saw this game, I thought it was like a 3-match game, but I see that we have a unique game here.
@phlebas it seems like we found the issue and just released a fix. Hope you can enjoy it now!
Thank you for telling that bug to us, really appreciated! :)
I love the game, the idea is awesome, you have to be strategic to stay alive and plan your return path while you're going deeper. I really enjoyed this one, nice job!
Yeey! I'm in the leaderboard haha. Cute visuals with interesting, and relaxing gameplay. My only complaint is that the game couldn't explain itself clearly to the player. It takes so much time to figure out the goal, and that might cause some players to drop the game immediately -and not having the chance to experience this beautiful game. Overall, innovative mechanic with amazing mood, keep up the good work <3 (I'll be the 1st lol)
Fantastic game. I might be biased as a puzzle fan, but I think this is the kind of jam game that nearly has it all. It's complete, it works super well, is actually very fun to play and looks and sounds pretty great! Amazing job, big kudos!
I loved it, great submission!
Great game; I was quite confused at first what to actually do, but once I got it, it was a cool mechanic!
This game was great, very polished and fun! The highscore board was a very nice touch (it was fun trying to compete with my friends for a highscore position). Perhaps as a further improvement, you could try to add some way to reward collecting more gems. Either way, definitely one of the top games I've played this LD!
Amazing game that looked a lot simpler than when I actually started playing. The mechanic of balancing risk-reward and deciding when to turn back was already cool, but little did I know that the bubble-path I had been using to go down would disappear! This made subsequent runs really interesting knowing that I'd have to also leave myself enough safe objects to make my way back. The high score was also a great idea that gave me a lot of motivation to keep trying, even though in the end, I couldn't rank. ^_^;; Great game and one of my favorite puzzles of the jam!
even though I always make really complicated games with lots of rules and mechanics, I really enjoy games made of simple rules and elegant designs. having to turn back is such a brilliant idea that makes the game so much more than what it is and links it to theme perfectly in my opinion. for me, it's significantly harder to make simple games really fun, and it turns out you achieved it, in just 3 days. so, big kudos to you.
Great idea! At my first play I didn't understand I had to go back to complete the run but I think that was just me being dumb and not reading... anything, apparently. It was really fun! Thank you.
Very addicting.
I don't read instructions, I just play, so I had no idea that I needed to swim back to the surface to get a score. I thought I was doing the most by going deeper and deeper lol even that was pretty fun.
The leaderboard is a great motivator ;) But the randomness means I can't REALLY compete in a way that feels fair, I just need to get lucky and employ a good strategy. Maybe a fixed RNG seed would be interesting? So we're all playing the same board?
Small nitpick; Visually it's cute. I'd like to have seen more consistency among the pixel sizes, even if it's not going to be pixel perfect".
Overall a surprisingly "deep" game, GOOD JOB!
first game on this jam that immersed me actually
Love your game! This one earned a spot on my bookmarksbar. It's simple to learn, hard to master! I love how you made a scoreboard, and how to incorporate that further into your game by setting a goal at the left-hand-side of the screen.
The graphics are just amazingly put together, and in combination with the music it makes the game very cute
Quite a unique twist on resource management as you have to gather gems, but watch out for your oxygen and while doing so you have to leave yourself a viable path and resources for you to swim up as well.
Unfortunately I was always too greedy to be able to left myself a way to swim up, so I always failed but still this is one of my favorites in this jam.
great game! made it till 39 without drowning after many many failed attempts. by the way the little swimming animation is super cute!
Cool! The planning is important if you want to get to the surface with all your gems. A well rounded entry! Awesome!
