No download or Web links on this one at all.. weird.
I went to edit the post, saw that the link field had been filled out, saved, and now the download link is showing. Sorry about that.
I got 52342.
I love the fish animation!
I wasn't sure what the controls were but since there was no way to lose I managed to make my way through. I liked the graphics and animation though.
Hah! I played for a good 20 minutes. I love having an army of fish! Reminds me of those RTS where you controlled swarms of knights around.
It does need a little polishing, but it's a timed contest after all. Full marks :)
- It's almost addicting, I like this kind of games like insaniquarium :D
- I think it really needs some audio, at least the sound of coins.
- The art is pretty good. Looks like you have a lot of experience in graphic design.
36387 is mi highscore :)
Would like to pay but I am on a mac... frown :(
I also want to play, but don't have Windows.
Man, I really want to play this game, but when I run it - I get this error: Unable to load mono library from ...AquaWars/AquaWars/AquaWars_Data/Mono/mono.dll
The screen shot looks great though.
Definitely the definitive actionRts the underwater, group-based fish battling genre so desperately needed! If only Sea-Monkies could do this!
Great! Reminds me of Insanquarium... I wasn't really sure what the 'tools' did ie what feeding my fish did, but otherwise lovely graphics loved commanding my tiny minnow army. Cheers!
Quite cool concept and I like the art. needs music/audio though.
Thanks for all the comments! Yeah, I was hoping to add in sound and a tutorial screen or two but ran out of time. I really feel like the art was our strongest part, if you care to check out the timelapse video the artist put together you can view it here: http://youtu.be/vRduXqTZ3CA
Quite innovative. I like the style of the graphics a lot but unfortunately it look quiet blurry on my laptop (Intel HD3000). Probably a technical issue as your screenshots look great.
Pity there is no sound.
A post competition version of the game, with sounded added to it, is now available for Android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ElzingaMedia.AquaWars
Based on your mobile device it may run slow, the game wasn't built with mobile optimization in mind...
Really nice game, enjoyed it a lot! only really lacking the music
I would try it, but I am on an iMac.
Wow, really nice work. I didn't hear any sound, not sure if it was just me. I'm not sure if I would change much. Maybe some feedback when you buy something and also a chance to see my score after the game ends.
Nice relaxing game. Played for a while but it doesn't seem to speed up so you can't lose. Really nice and polished graphics.
A shame I can't play it on my mac. :C
Seeing as it's a Unity game, it wouldn't be too difficult (a few clicks, IIRC) to release a Mac version.
As for the game itself, I really like the concept, and it's a lot of fun to play. I can't play the post-jam version because I don't have an Android, but here's how I think the game could be improved:
- A counter to show how many enemies are onscreen. When I lost, I thought about 6 enemies, though some may have been obscured by the upgrade menu. I'm pretty sure some worms were blocking the view of other worms, too.
- Speaking of the upgrade menu, I had the upgrade menu open for the majority of the game, as I often quickly alternated between attacking and buying. Perhaps it should be moved to a spot where it does not partially block the player's view (such as the top or bottom of the screen) and not need to be "opened".
It's impossible to understand the gameplay without reading your introduction.
The graphics are great and with music the game will be even better.
good job :)
Sorry, can't play as I don't have Windows.
Really great graphics! I would have liked some sounds and music. It was pretty addicting too. With a few more features and a bit more challenge, this could be a really great game!
Oh, I just read through the comments and saw you released a post-compo version on android, that's great news! (You should post a link to that in your description (; )
