Small details; Earth shrinking and the moon. At first I thought, this would be kinda dull entry but it surprised me really well.

I'm out of adjectives but really innovative and fun to play.
Had same error as oldtopman but in Arch Linux 64bit x64 Love 0.8.
Simple, yet fun. Lovely music.
Couldn't play. Unity Web plugin loads slowly and ends in error. Also, downloading stand-alone version is cut too early. Maybe I'll check this later.
The Love 0.7 seems to be mandatory. I couldn't get it running on Linux or Windows with Love 0.8 ( Got the same error as racarate ). The windows binary works fine.
Forgot to mention. I liked the art style but really hated that messy professor after dying once again and again. Got to goal eventually.
Just forgot:
Arrow keys to control. Space to restart. Actually I don't know what happens if Space is pressed when player is not dead...
Restarting works but apparently I forgot to check if player moves out of the playing area.
Best part of the LD:
My son liked the game. ( Or he pretended to like it )
Windows version should now work on 32bit platforms. Forgot to include, when the submission panic caught.
The slow movement is intentional as it was planned that way from the beginning. I admit, it might not be a good thing.
As a side note, I think the gameplay breaks after 30 seconds , because some particles goes too fast to see them properly. It shouldn't get any harder after that though as gradual difficulty increase is capped at 30s.
The escape from the screen was not intentional but is nice cheat. I spent too much time trying to make sure the clock would work when game is paused. It will invalidate the highscore if window has been out of focus, because I'd not enough time to test whether the clock code was working in that special case.
Needs more gameplay testing. Thanks for the comments!
Just tested:
Doubling movement speed and equaling axis movement does make it easier to get over 20ns. Can't be sure about the reponsiviness, should test on different machines. The collision and particle creation/destruction code is unoptimized, which might cause lag. Some particles even vanish suddenly, but it's a feature: They do a quantum jump. :)
The game becomes incredibly difficult at ~24ns and unplayable after 30ns. After 30ns, the particles move too fast to be avoidable. I also tested the game at higher resolution before submitting but felt it made the game too easy.
I think I may use this idea in the near future and make a more approachable implementation.
netmute: I wish I'd have Mac, then I could do Mac executable: https://love2d.org/wiki/Game_Distribution
For Linux it might be better to install Löve and use the source .love file.
Thanks again for good comments.
Next time I should use better screen capturing software, because I couldn't take good picture before I died. :)
I think I encountered same bug. Couldn't select or route anything. Only once in survival I saw one dot speeding in to the middle after clicks.
Stunning visuals, nice soundtrack and I liked the mood aroung the game. More gameplay would be nice but this goes with the theme.
Could use a bit more screen space. Now blocks looked really tiny and it was hard to get into the game. Nice try though.
Good game. Nice graphics, fluent gameplay and it's really fun to play. Catches the theme as well. Got the idea really fast, so it was intuitive as well.
Couldn't run it in Arch Linux ( x64 ) even, when I'd Love 0.8 installed. The Lua lib files were named differently: liblua.so.5.1 etc.
Played in Windows then.
One of the best games I've rated so far.
W key for jump instead of space would've helped. I got stuck in one level, where player has to jump and throw bombs to get baddies killed. Couldn't handle arrow keys well enough with left hand or couldn't work out the mouse with left hand.
One of the best.
Retro feel.
Nice retro feeling. Worked well in Linux.
Great idea. Wasn't always sure if people were doing what I told'em to do. Just like real life. :)
Thank you for mute option. I appreciate your other sound effects but the repeating sound, when player gets a packet ( or whatever ) is really annoying. Otherwise, good game.
Couldn't run on Arch Linux. I tried fiddling a bit with it but I suspect it wasn't compatible with 64bit system. I'll rate it once I get back on Windows.
Nice idea. But... Why the star is created last? Shouldn't it be first and lastly form the smallest planets ( or planetoids or asteroids whatever ) from whatever is left? Also, the 4-way wrapping around was tricky.
Nice graphics, great music! Gameplay needs a bit more feedback though.
