Wow - this is great! A little thin on the 'gameplay' parts - wish I had a score to try to beat, or some kind of metric for whether I'm doing well or not - but the execution is top notch. The art style is perfectly minimalist, and the overall mood is clear and well-executed. Could see this turned into a full-fledged title easily, with a few bits added to spice up the gameplay/extend longevity.
Really nicely done overall!

It is really super hard to know when it is okay to stop to hide and to run ^^' Also, I am not sure I understood the "Stuck in the loop" part... :x
@ynk "SPOILER ALERT" You are running in circles as you keep returning to the campsite where it all Began.
@pete-valeo thanks man. I had a game breaking issue which took most of the last day to fix. It took out the extra features on my list. I will carry on with it for sure

@arron-fowler I see! I wasn't skilled enough to make this far I guess
Its an interesting visual style, has a pretty bleak mood to it. Sound is alright. Its only weak in terms of the theme. Overall good effort.
@digitaldude555 I am sad about the theme seeming weak. I did it too subtly it seems. Endlessly running in circles seemed like a good fit but you're not the first to pick it up. Thanks for trying it out
Cool graphics and atmosphere. I'm not always sure about sight detection though.
Hahaha. Nice small stealth game! I like the effect when enemy finds you and you transform into bones :)
Nice job! The game was a bit confusing at first but after some time I got the hang of it! The graphics are also pretty cool (a bit weird though). Also very fun and unique!
@bauke-regnerus @nikolay-zapolnov @tangomango Thanks for your comments.

Nice style, atmosphere and mechanics. But do not get how to play it in first time. Very fast get catched by soul.

Nice job! I really liked how music and sounds of the pink dudes set the mood!
Really loving the atmosphere with all the fog and the ominous pink squid things floating at you from the distance. Is the level procedurally generated each run?
@darkmax14 yes its different each time. The only thing that is fixed is how far you run before returning to the camp (sad face for the lost boy) Each time you get to the camp the frequency of squid things ramps up.
Great aesthetic, very War of the Worlds. I found it a bit tricky to progress as it seems luck based whether there will be somewhere to hide near an alien? It was very satisfying to get zapped mind you. 🤣
Hi there ! Thanks for submitting your game to my stream (twitch.tv/drjavasaurus). This is a great game ! Well done, strong slenderman vibes. It is very challenging though. I love that you went for a voxel style, it works so well ! The AI is equally impressive to me, must have been quite hard to get it right to find automatic hiding spots ! Loved it :)

The controls very pretty simple, maybe a bit too simple. But I liked the mood, art and music were fitting well together.
Loved the fact that when I looped back to the campfie, my ghostly friend was sitting right there :grinning:
Mood was very nice - the lights/darkness and the music went well together.
The game is very simple but well made. Definitely impressive for a solo project! And the take on the jam theme is unique. I liked that.
Some message at the end akin to "you have survived for so an so minutes" would be nice.
PS. Played the Android version and everything worked smoothly.
@javasaurus thanks man it was a genuine thrill to watch you play it. So pleased you liked it
@fabula-rasa good to hear the android version passed the test. The score was part of the list that got wiped out trying to fix it before the deadline. Jam fun stuff like that, it was very broken right up to the end
I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/timbeaudet hope the feedback there was great.

Artwork and sound design is solid, nice job!
Pretty cool atmosphere, I enjoy to play it. Great work
Another nice and moody game. Although I agree with Pete Valeo on the gameplay aspect, the particularly impressive part to me was the hiding system. It seemed very versatile, even moving you around trees away from enemies. Art and sound was also nice.
If only there was a bit more to do, not that I didnt enjoy it. Nice work!

What a creepy game! The mood is super weird, especially with the voxel graphics, I love it! The interaction with only one button seems basic but there's a lot of depth to it, choosing when to hide, in a bush or behind a tree. I especially like that most of the time you don't see the ennemies, and you have to rely on the light to decide wether you are too close to them or not. Good job!

This was fantastic! Scary, but fantastic :ok_hand:
Nice entry. Voxel art well executed ! There is an overall scary atmosphere that you managed to create with few elements, and this is impresive ! Maybe some sounds indicator as you are being watched by the aliens (?)? I felt that I was going to lose but didn't know how much longer I could afford being watch.
@donamougou so the death mechanic is if the beam from them is not obscured by a game object you are dead. No beam pointed at you then you are safe to move. Thanks for playing I really appreciate it.

The graphics and audio were amazing and really made the creepy atmosphere. RIP guitar man... Loved the animation of how he walks, runs, hides and even looks around when hiding. Makes it very engaging and more dynamic. The only criticisms I'd have would be the lack of replayability. With it getting more difficult every "loop", you could have added a simple loop counter which would then give people a reason to play again and try and run round more times! However, I'm sure you had more things you wanted to add but lacked the time and what you made is already impressive for a solo game as well! Overall, great job and I'd love to see a more fleshed out version if you decided to carry on working on it.
@teto I am going to carry on. So much left on my list not done. The difficulty does ramp up with each return to the camp and the distance between each is larger. I am yet to get to camp 4. I have plans for different enemy types and hiding spots. Plenty to fix first

It's a nice twist on the runner genre. The spooky ambiance is really well made. Great work !
This is so dope! In love with the audio you used for this game and the enemies are terrifying! Would love to see a full blown game of this! You did a fantastic job! The character animations are also really well done! I love how he hid behind things nicely, I felt I was able to control and hide him when I needed to instead of any issues doing so!
The idea of the game is great, and can become something big in the future with realistic grathics and first person perspective. Nice work.

This is so spooky. I really enjoyed playing this one, and audibly laughed when I saw the ghost of your friend playing guitar! Wonderful game. Great job!
I had a hard time with the hiding. It didn't really seem to work if I was within the search radius of the aliens. So it felt more like a stop and wait til you don't hear the noise kind of thing. Altogether it was an interesting game. It was well put together and I love the touch of him hanging his head as he passes his friend's ghost.

Less is more. Good theme and loved you keeping it simple! Good job.
I loved the art of the game and the simple gameplay. If he hid faster I think it would be cooler. The game is great congratulations!
The mood is excellent. I spent some time in a bush with the two drones above my head, it was intense. I like the voxel graphics, I also make my game with this medium. It's well done with little time we had !

2020-10-07 23:06
I played the android version.I think the controls are too simple and I was not feeling I am actually playing a game. Maybe switching the controls might solve this - the faster you tap, the faster you run. You stop tapping, then you hide. This would give the player control over how fast is he moving and could provide more intense gameplay.
Nice game. The hiding animation a bit clumsy on some occasion. But that's a nice take on the theme. If I have to make a suggestion: You should limit the hiding spots only on some places and also prevent the character from going back. That way, the player has to choose if he wants to hide and be safe or continue and take the risk of being exposed until the next hiding spot. Anyway, that's a very good entry. Great work.

2020-10-07 23:40
Neat game! The use of the theme was very good and I loved the art (wish I could make art that cool). The hiding/running mechanic was well done and I liked seeing my guy try to quickly find a bush or tree when he was left in the open. The whirring audio noise was good and helped build up the tension, but it would be nice if there was a noise for when enemies were searching for you, just to increase that some more. The only recomendation is perhaps adding some more variation in the gameplay, as after a couple loops it gets a little plain. Good job!
Wow I love horrible game and this is an excellent one!I like the music and the mood which make me very scared and tense but I enjoy! I want to save the guy who plays the guitar but I can't hhh. I appreciate your game!

This game is brilliant. The way it shifts from something comfortable to this eerie horror vibe is great.
Feedback:
- Space bar option to hide would be great - Some illumination on the player when he's running would be good too
The theme, music and setting are fantastic. Amazing job.
Great game. Little laggy and the character was not always doing what would be ideal for him (hiding on the front side of the tree where aliens can see them). But I really loved this one button idea, it still has some tensions in the encounters. Nice entry
@ondy1985 hey thanks for playing. Interesting feedback. I ran out of time to put in the run/walk mechanic I had planned, which was a tap to switch between them with a stamina bar which would deminish and recharge. The thought of frantically taping fills me with dread, in many ways my pull in game design is usually about things in games I dislike and there are lots of mobile conventions I am fighting against. Frantic taps and virtual joysticks are both on the list. I could see the tapping machanic working well, I just wouldn't make it or play it myself. Feel free to have it for yourself with my blessing
@tad I am pleased I made you laugh. I have always ignored the humour section so I wanted to put some quirky bits in. I did not plan for it to be so tense and it overshadowed any funny bits
@eptwalabha I like the no going backwards idea. I will play test that and see if it adds more than it takes
@tom-a I made this with mobile in mind but as I built it I had mapped the down arrow for hide. I knew I needed mouse for mobile to work and by the time I had finally fixed the nasty game breaking elements I had to change the controls in a mad sprint before submission. I agree a space option would have been good.

Well done and thanks for building this game!

Very polished and solid game. The graphics are good, the animations great. Enviroment got a little repetitive after a while and obviously gameplay was repetitive but that's not really a critique as it is a endless runner. The screen seemed to get darker (Gamma down?) when I was hiding - not sure if that was intentional. Overall nice job!

Hi friend. What a great entry you've submitted this time! It definitely is your best work yet, very impressive! I really like the atmosphere, the sound, music and graphics tie together very well. What I love the most are the animations, it feels like the character is reacting very dynamic to its surroundings.
Overall a very solid entry, i'm already looking forward to your next game!

2020-10-08 16:19
@arron-fowler I understand, i just put in my two cents :-) You have a great game here, if you can make the controls more interesting and maybe add online ladder, it could do well on the appstore. Wish you luck!
@drtizzle thanks brother. Pleased you liked it. I found myself thinking about run guys a lot whilst planning it. I have come a long way since then
@sharks the dimming is a mist issue they are just planes and I did a 5 mins till deadline hack on the camera to move it closer when hiding to reduce trees blocking out the view. It was a fixed distance before that so I did not notice it in time to fix. It's on the post jam list of fixes, which is quite long lol
Reminds me of Playdead's Inside
@thiago-nascimento I'll take that as a massive compliment, it was in the bag of thoughts for sure. I love inside

Great art style and mood, very striking ! I love the simplicity of gameplay and the work on staging. The intro is a very nice touch. I love the enemies' design too. I had a few bugs hindering my experience though such as stuck enemies waiting for me without possibility to escape. I also would have liked a bit more of control in the gameplay. Overall very solid entry well done !
Great artstyle and sound-design.
Really nice idea  and well executed (no pun intended) .. nice ambient horror feeling.. This is not meant negatively in any stretch of the imigination ... however a couple of thoughts.. the coloring of the floating pink boxes made them less scary to me at least - and the soundtrack didn't hold up to the look and feel of the rest.... HOWEVER this is as I said still a great entry ... Love the idea and love the feel in general.. Big congrats :thumbsup_tone1:

Really great art-style and sound design, the game is kind of difficult in terms of when to hide and when to run. Also hiding in bushes seems to work a little wonky as the aliens always look directly at me yet don't kill me. This also takes a very long time for them to go away.
I really like the idea though! Great entry!

Nice game, plays well and the mood is great! congrats!
Wow. Typically controls are over-complex. Sometimes they're so simple that they they can't provide what they need. You managed having perfect one-button controls. Wasn't sure how it fit the theme at first but I did just pass the campfire again, so I guess if I keep running I'll see it a few more times. Its a minor thing, but I love that you can start the game early, makes replays very easy. Graphics are good. Sound is great. My only complaints are that the music is a veryshort loop so it get annoying really quick. Longer music might help, or it could fade out in tense moments when you're hiding and the aliens(?) are looking right at your hiding spot. Also sometimes it was questionable where the character chose to hide, seemed to run away from the close spot I intended to one much further away.
@shaolin-dave Thanks man. I have been working on the post jam today. It's been really helpful getting all the feedback. There is lots of gameplay elements to iron out. The hiding is already much improved and it will always select the closest one eventially it is about 95% of the time in the jame version and I don't yet know why it picks any other. Its all fun. So much was left on my list at submission time it's been a really nice day of working through it and moving it incrimentally towards its real potential. I have plans for the music and its going to do nothing to relieve the tension!
I love voxel art, I have been using magicavoxel for a long time, I liked how it reacts when clicking, I found some problems in relation to it hiding, but nothing that hindered the fun, congratulations for a big hug.
Fun game, love the graphics had a great time playing. I also love the concept!

Solid game when it comes to mood and gameplay. Very easy to grasp around and quickly learn how to play. Simple yet defining visuals making the game even more interesting. Job well done!

2020-10-10 07:08
the fact that the player hides into different places depending on the current environment is suuuper cool! also absolutely love the sound-clues as the purple aliens are close. the gameplay was simple yet i enjoyed it a ton.
some criticism would be that sometimes it was a bit hard to know if you could hide or not. also one of the aliens got stuck between the trees and therefor i couldn't pass it without dying (rip, or maybe i was just too bad at hiding lol :D) https://imgur.com/a/k8KOwQU
but other than that great job, would love to try this on mobile too
@kultisti Thanks for this. I had a ton of problems trying to get them to work in all scenarios. I ran out of time to go back to them as they fitted into the good enough for box. I am working on the Post Jam version now and the Aliens are getting a deep overhaul. Slightly smoother, slightly smarter but just as scary. I appreciate the image.
@mikoziq TheSoulSelelectorCollector approves this message. Really enjoyed your stream keep at it.

Finally got to playing this after being given the game's LD link!
I managed to reach 172m, but I'm pretty sure people have managed to get way more than me.
ran.PNG
A nice idea with fun, simple gameplay!
Kinda how Kultisti said the aliens would get stuck between trees, it sometimes occurs with the player as well, but it isn't permanently stuck. I believe that's the only "problem" I came across. Didn't have problems with the enemies and hiding worked great.
The ambient music in the background was pretty fitting with the feeling it was trying to give along with the environment.
I definitely enjoyed playing this!
@kassjak thanks for the feedback. Nice score. My highest score was part skill and part kind procedural gen. It varies quite a lot depending of the spec of the aliens when they spawn. Slow ones are great to run past but bad if they get in range etc. I am looking forward to working out how to stop the aliens ever getting stuck. They do get out eventually but they become a bit less scary when they are outfoxed by a tree. lol

This is a really really nice looking game, and the control scheme is incredible in how simple it is. Deciding when to run and when to hide seems like it should require some strategy, but from what I played it felt like RNG was the deciding factor most of the time, since the enemies surround you and can find you quite easily. Or maybe I'm just bad at the game. The theme was also underutilized. The level repeats, but nothing in the game changes from that, it could as well have been procedural.
Hey @fupi thanks for the feedback. Its easy to get trapped if you hide too long. The Jam ran out of time before I could finish the features I had hope for. Just so you know it is procedural, no play through is the same twice. Each time the Camp is revisited the frequency of the aliens spawning is ramped up. It gets pretty intense by lap 5 and I have not got much further than that myself. I am not sure if it's even possible to get to the 10th one!
Gorgeous voxel graphics, great soundtrack, extremely moody. Seemed to take a long time between when I pressed my One Button and when my character actually hid, not sure if it's because I was experiencing a bit of lag or if it's a little unresponsive there. Fun to play for a bit, or just sit on the menu screen and chill by the fire with the nice music.
@marcmagus Thanks for the feedback. It's all going into the Post Jam version which I am working on at the moment. Already lots of improvements and some of the extra variety I had to leave out is being implimented. It's funny I just took a break from redesigning the hiding response time. It is all being tweeked and watching your stream and others has given me plenty to go on. I am very grateful to you guys for all the time you have put in. It's a real gift.
I had a blast playing your game, mostly for the graphics, really cool man! ^^
Really nice mood in this game. I liked that the character had to search for a hideout and could still be killed while doing so: it force you to analyse your environment while looking for enemies instead of just the latter. I would say that, while nice and fitting the experience, the music was a bit repetitive in my opinion, a longer loop would be better (but already a good job for a jam). Having the distance ran always visible would be a nice addition too instead of just showing it at the end. I really enjoyed the experience during these 473 meters (but I swear I thought it was more :p)
@vivien-fargette that's a pretty good run. I have plans for the music which will make it much more dynamic. Thanks for playing

aaah, what a nice little experience! Full points on innovation just because I love the simplified controls so much, also for graphics as the assets just worked great with one another! Thank you for that fun experience :D
[Thanks for tolerating our ridiculousness on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/767081908?t=00h13m45s)
This entry was super neat. The art and the concept were super unique. Gave me some serious Limbo/Inside vibes. Super impressive y'all were able to crank this out in a weekend, nice job!
Tense mood and easy simple controls. Good work with the lighting as well. I just felt it was a bit too easy and didn't really feel any incentive to continue playing after 2-3 loops. Nonetheless, congrats on a nice jam game!

I overall liked this game. It's simple to play, and I like both the sounds, visuals and the games mood. But it do sometimes feels like it impossible to do anything to avoid the aliens.
@jk5000 sometimes it is impossible. Unfortunately I spent most of my last day trying to fix a game breaking bug. By the time that was done submission was rapidly approaching. Death is inevitable. Post Jam much improved and the feedback you get from LD is so useful.

2020-10-13 22:33
The music and graphics are very nice, it's impressive for a game made in such a short amount of time to be made in 3D. However, there wasn't too much to do that kept the experience interesting. Something to strive for would help spice it up, such as higher difficulty as it goes on or objects to collect for a high score. I got to 195M before I just let the aliens take me away. Despite that, it does a good job at setting an atmosphere.
I really loved the graphics and vibe of this game! Also the animations were very smooth. Hiding from the evil overseers has a ton of potential. I know its a jam game, but some sort of goal or something would be great. I think yall should take this game further!

Great game, very original interpretation of the theme and nice mechanics. The polygon art is really suggesting, also the atmosphere of the forest and the alien cubes and the music.
Interesting mechanics, great art and simple controls. A bit more in the gameplay department might be nice for players, but the setting is intriguing. Nice!
Short and sweet, minimalist gameplay and controls made it easy to keep playing for a while. I like the artstyle too!
Great atmospheric piece. The voxelized graphics fit the simplified gameplay greatly.
Great game!! Love the Inside vibes of it. Awesome job!!

Your game is simple but very interesting. I like the graphic style and the sound is very good. Gameplay is very easy to learn. I believe that you should turn this idea into something bigger, because I believe that there is potential in it. Congratulations.
@vphyre Thanks. I have been pushing hard to get the Post Jam version in shape. I am refining mostly and adding the things I had planned originally and tweeking based on the feedback I have had. It is still the same game, but with extra polish! I will get it out before ratings end. Its been a good Jam this one. Standards high games pretty good all round. What's not to like?

Great concept, and the visuals and mood are really well done! The enemies' lights converging on you, combined with the pink light and beeping, work really well to keep the game tense. I think some of the tenseness fades when you realize you can never be found while hiding though. One time, an enemy bumped into me while I was hiding in a bush and got stuck for a second, but it still didn't find me. I think if enemies found when you when they bump directly into you, it would feel a lot scarier when they come close while searching and nearly miss you. Another idea I had that might help the game keep up suspense is to spawn a slow-moving enemy behind the player if they hide too long, so that they can't hide forever. I'm looking forward to the post-jam version!
Really simple idea very well executed! I really enjoyed the visuals and the mood. Great job!

This was a really nice idea! I actually felt tension and I was nervous to be caught so the atmosphere was on point! The hiding function was a bit confusing at first but after I understood it, it was really simple to play. I loved the lighting - not only visually but also as a warning. Great entry!

Amazing mood. Music fits perfectly. I was scared all the time :D
Great, simple idea and game loop. And time well spent on polishing animations, graphics and sound.
If I were to be picky, I'd say that there wasn't much variety in world design. I think there were 2 unique objects you could hide behind? (pillars and boxes). But what is there is very impressive for such short time.
Cheers!
The game is really well polished, the mood is amazing and so the assets and the animations. A really nice game idea, you integrated the theme really well into the gameplay.
Btw, watched your game at PixelProphecy's stream, it was fun :)

Wow, SO moody! The natural parallax from the distant tree/pillars, the volumetric fog, and the way the pink light contrasted eerily with the grey, I really loved the vision and execution of the art here. It nails a mood of creeping from the alien danger. The music and sound was also contributing really strong to this.
I got 259m. Nice entry!

I loved the mood in this game! Nice work on the visuals, animations, particles, and lights. The music/ambiant sounds fit pretty well too! And I loved the effect of transforming the characters into bones!
Good entry!
The one had a great atmosphere and and I liked the artstyle very much, great job! If you're curious how far I managed to get, here's me playing it on my stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzklvE5HZP0
Thanks for submitting! 😊
@pete-valeo I have been working my socks of to fix this game before results day was over. Your comments were all spot on. I have added some of the game mechanics in that I was noble to do in the time and it is much improved. You can keep track of you score too. I hope you find a moment to have a look at it fleshed out a bit. Good luck with your scores. Until the next one... P.S Windows version is much better than web. Let me know what you think.
@ynk I have just made public the Pst Jam version. Hopefully the loop part has been made a little clearer. It is a much better experience. Good luck with the results and thanks for playing this one.
@digitaldude555 Hi. I have done a post jam update. I have mad a procedurally generated soundtrack now, still moody but less of a stuck in just one loop vibe. I'd be super happy if you fancied giving it a spin.
@bauke-regnerus Thanks for playing this one.I have made a post jam version and all this feedback was super helpful. I am slightly broken now as it has been a lot of work. You can now see the edges of the aliens detection zone which helps a lot. If you feel so inclined I love to hear your feedback.
@nikolay-zapolnov The bones the bones. I have just released a post jam version. The bones are still doing their thing but I am super happy with how you come back to life now. If you want to see how I used the bones to make extra lives I would love to hear your thoughts.
@tangomango the Post Jam version is no less wierd. In fact I was deliberatly wierder but the fun is way up too. I have redesigned the movement and hiding from scratch. It all feels much slicker. If you can be bothered to have another spin and let me know your thoughts then that would be grand. Good luck with the results.
@kidbiti I have added a few new game mechanics into it to confuse you even more. You can jump over trip hazards now by clicking rather than holding. If you trip then nearby aliens come to investigate. There are a lot of deaths for this poor boy. Let me know if you have any thoughts. Good luck with the results
@baran I have just publisheded the post jam. I have added a lot of sounds to the aliens to help with the tension. Also the soundtrack is a lot more dynamic and no less frightening. If you want I would love to hear your thoughts. I am going to be developing this for some time I think. Here is to good scores for us all.
@darkmax14 I loved the fact you called them squids and it stuck with me so they are now extra squid like. Check out the squids in the postjam version. I hope you approve, it is because of you. Good luck with the scores
@haustgeirr I have made the satisfaction of getting zap all the more tollerable in the post jam. Helped by the fact you can gain extra lives. Coming back from the dead is particularly violent. If you have a go let me know your thoughts and good luck with the scores
@javasaurus Thanks for playing it on your stream. I learned so much from seeing people play it and I have put lots of it into the post jam version. If you fancy giving it the once over I would really value your feedback. Post Jam Stream maybe?
@fabula-rasa Hello I have added loads of extra stuff into the post jam version and have put an updated android build in the downloads. If you fancy having a go I would love to hear what you think. Good luck with the results
@timbeaudet Thanks for streaming this. It was very useful for the post Jam and inspired me to push hard to get it as far as possible. Check it out if you are so inclined. I appreciate all you did
@darylsteak loads more to do in the post jam if I can tempt you? See above link
@toulou I have made a post jam version. You can now help him avoid trip hazards all still one button... Its even more moody now
@netmute I hope the post jam version is more fantastic because I know its more scary. The red aliens are the worst...
@donamougou I have added a post jam version and took your advice. There is a lot more sound help in the game including a lock on and lock off sound. It does really help timing when to flee or wait. let me know if you try it out
@justcamh Hey great results for your game. Well deserved I thought it was fantastic. I have done a post jam version of A nNight Around The Fire. Watching you play on stream really helped to see how and what needed to change. If you have the time an feel so inclined I would love to hear your thoughts. Congrats
@ellladee hopefully you will love the post jam just as much or maybe more. Solid scores on your game I see Well done.
@ar-borno I ran out of time to give him a backpack in the post Jam game but the idea came when playing yours. It is something I will work out how and why to add. There is plenty else that is new if you fancy giving it a try.
@jonah the guy with the guitar still does not do well in the post jam version and if anyhting it has gotten worse for the boy. Fancy giving it a go and letting me know what you thought?
@teto Your wish is my comand. Post Jam version is packed with as much as I could do before the results. I will pick it up again but I am going to sleep for like a week now. I would love to hear your thoughts on what I have done these last 3 weeks. It's been emotional
@avatargreggles I have done a post jam. Lots of added features. I have made a randomly generated soundtrack which I hope adds to the mood. If you feel like checking it out I would love to have it played
@tad I have added a few extra easter eggs into the post jam. I expect a couple of extra chuckles maybe and a bit of grossness. If you fancied giving it a spin that would be grand
@mauricioscherer Hello I have done a post jam version. I have entirely rebuilt the movement mechanic and made the hiding much more consistent and rewarding. Thanks for your feedback all of it went into my planning for the post jam so I hope you give it a try and leave me a comment
@julienlussiez great results for your game. Voxel for the win. I have done a post jam version. I particularly enjoyed the challenge of making the voxel trees. Lots to learn still but I am satisfied with the results. I would love to hear your thoughts if you try it
@eptwalabha hello I have published the post jam version and takeninto consideration your feedback. The hiding animations are much more refined and you can only go back a short distance now. The movement has been rebuilt from the bottom up and whilst not yet perfect, much improved. If you want to give it a go then I would love to hear your thoughts.
@stormcat I have added a few new features in the post jam. There are now obsticles to avoid which you tap to allow the boy to see. A new alien type also clears bushes leaving you more exposed. If you fancy taking a look that would be great all of the fedback here was so helpful in clarifying what needed to be done to help realise more of its potential. The first steps have been taken and there is a long way to go. It's going to be fun I think to develop this one

It's always great to see when some of you gets so happy with your jam games that keep developing them after the jam ends. And I will say that I liked the jam version of this game, but the new version is definitely much much better. I can see that you have fixed hiding issue, and game atmosphere is now much more interesting and intense. There is clearly also more enemies types that makes the game more interesting and fun to play. I could clearly see that you have made some changes to enemies visuals effects, and in general to the games visuals. I don't know if you have change the music, but it anyway felt better.
I would have like if the controls instructions just was on the screen when the games starts, holding down LMB felt a bit weird. And when I begin to play the game there came some icons down in the right corner, and to be honest I am not totally sure what they meant.
It sounds like you want to keep developing the game, and for me would the next step for this game would be to make more of a story for the game. And it's does not have to be a complex story, just something that can help the player be motivated to keep playing.
I hope this will help you keep developing the game. And good luck and have fun with your game in the future.
@jk5000 thanks the story is coming. I am thinking about chance encounters and locations whilst still coming back to the camp. Maybe possible salvation? I have updated the soundtrack it is randomly curated so it should be subtly different each run. Thanks for your thoughts
