I have no idea what's going on but it seems interesting
thought it was interesting , i wasn't very good at the game sadly.
Like the concept but the shop randomisation is a bit poorly explained and you can kill yourself too easily by misclicking onto a unit that's too expensive.
love the art, great game ! super concept
Really enjoyed the art style and gameplay, really cool ideas!
the art style is lovely, like the others have said, the movement system is very clunky but serviceable
I'm impressed by your dedication to spending time working on your own engine while also still creating a game for ludum dare. I really enjoyed the gameplay but liek a couple others have said it could use some balancing to be a little more challenging :)
Love the aesthetics of the planet and the quite relaxing feeling of walking around the planet
Insanely good art direction and atmosphere
The sword felt a bit weak but the fireball had a real punch.
The game is interesting but like others have said the controls could definitely use some polish.
Really enjoyable game, love the interpretation of the theme
Can't seem to run it properly on my laptop. I get a white screen with UI in game and can't do anything excpet look at the buttons and the CO2 meter. Love the intro and the music though.
Really enjoyed the level design and challenge. I did feel that some of the traps were a bit elaborate like the fan trap near the start where it blows you all the way back to the level start only to pop you and put you back.
I really like the way you executed the cool concept, also the graphics are HOT!!
Really enjoyed your game, the number keys didn't seem to work for me so I had to click the abilities to cast the healing spells which made the chat a bit awkward to reach since i kept having to move the mouse from the right to the left and back. Really neat concept and really well executed
Really like the art syle and fast gameplay. Like a few have said, very much ginving me super meat boy vibes. Also that water animation when you land in it is lovely.
Really nice looking main character animations and fun gameplay. A health bar or some indicator I'm taking damage would go a long way especially since the slime enemies at the start can be really hard to interpret if theyre damaging you or not.
@hyunkelw are you stuck on the first quest to find the mandrake and snapdragon? Once you find them in the hut area go inside the hut (press f while next to the door) and talk to the witch to progress. You won't be able to continue without the potions she gives you :)
@hyunkelw If you check right of the witches hut you'll find some platforms to jump up. You can find what you're looking for there
@hyunkelw will have to work on the introduction to the game for the next jam i guess  Thanks for trying mutiple times.
@epsulon Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for taking the time to write a comment @squid! We apprecite your patience with the multiple tries! We tend to be a bit over ambitious with our planning hence the bugs XD
@zesix Thanks for your comment! Glad you liked the art style. We did bite off a bit more than we can chew, hence we didn't have the time to rigourously test everything before the deadline, but we did our best
@omer1615 thank you for the feedback, we did stay past our bedtime making this :stuck_out_tongue:
@paulhocker Glad you enjoyed our game. The ghosts were meant to be difficult but I think I ended up underestimating just how fast I made them if you're unprepared for where they are.
@red-ash Happy to hear you liked the art. The mushroom chase was meant to have you explore the level to find the final confrontation. We will work on making the progression through the level a bit more clear in the future to avoid confusion. I think we ended up making it a bit too open ended right after the second mushroom cutscene.
@tompudding Glad you liked the art and animations!
Gorgeous art and loving the simple but very well executed mechanics
Really enjoyed playing this with my girlfriend, divided up the keyboard and I got the mouse. Love the art style and sounds. It would maybe help to have a little reminder what actitions you need to do for the different colors on the enemies. Real blast to play together and panic over whose button that is
Really enjoyed your super frantic take on Visceral Cleanup Detail, love the whole refill the chests touch.
It's a fun concept but I agree as well that the player becomes too slow way to quickly. I also had difficulties dropping the logs in the fire without hurting myself at all, increasing the throw distance would really help make easier to keep the fire going without damaging yourself every time.
@jan-pieter-inghels ah that would explain why I kept losing while trying to stoke the flames, the default chuck distance is so short you're practically guarenteed to die using it . Really cool game though, I do like the frantic run around to the trees when the fire gets low
Tried it on windows and it doesn't start sadly.
Quite enjoyed playing your game, gives me some real race the sun vibes. The only complaint I have is its sometimes a little to hard to tell if you're too low and will crash into the platform. I felt like I sometimes died before the ship model was actually below the edge of the blocks.
Enjoyed playing this a lot, I like the crafting system you went with, it's quite intuitive. On minor bug I found is that the black screen you use to cover the screen doesn't cover the top or bottom on my 1680x1050 monitor (theres the level background there instead of black)
Congrats on capturing the clusterfuck that is roundabouts in major city centres in all their glory
Like the concept but I'm not entirely sure what's happening at any given time. A little tutorial or some more info text could help :)
Beautiful use of colours and black and white for some very striking visuals. Was a tad on the easy side once I figured out I could cheese it like some others have said but that should be easy enough to fix. Defo should consider a full release of an expanded version :)
Took me a minute to fully understand but once I got the hang of it I had a fun time. Maybe make it clearer you can kill the enemies and that you only need to get to a tile around the space ship to win and not directly on it
Really enjoyed this one :)
Really loving the atmosphere with all the fog and the ominous pink squid things floating at you from the distance. Is the level procedurally generated each run?
Really enjoyed the voice over and had a fun time leveling up my rat and hiring a whole house full of hamsters :D
That liquid shader is some black magic. Game is really fun too and I love the art overall
Pretty sweet idea and execution and really liked the atmosphere. However sometimes the enemies wouldn't replay my moves from before properly, this was especially noticeable with the defenders floating through the barriers or just not spawning on the screen at all.
That is some good feedback for shooting, have you guys been looking at Vlambeer games recently XD
@ryuk47 Thanks :), glad you enjoyed it. We will chuck some screenshots up soon.
@bukkaketears glad you liked it and you found the scores. Our recommendation if you're lacking fire rate is the automatic shotgun with a few reload upgrades :D
@ventz glad you liked it :) Super hexagon was defo an inspiration
@peeweek Glad you liked our game :)
@rossmoff thanks! glad you enjoyed it
@charlie-hall is it cheating if we put it there? ;)
@lamasaurus auto shotgun is very much the way to go
@tricky-fat-cat glad you enjoyed our game :)
Looks gorgeous and plays amazingly too. You should consider making this a full game for mobile
Really like the atmosphere you guys created with the lights and shadows. Plays quite well too
Had a lot of fun making rings of stone lobbers to stave off the seagulls. One thing that could do with a little improvement is some indicators for the space being taken up by any given structure. It get's quite hard later on to find places to squeeze more huts and you can't really tell how well you're placing them as you go.
Fun little game, really like your art style
Really well done! Love the interior cockpit view you can look around, was a really neat and immersive way to show all the stats without cluttering the UI :)
Really nice looking environment you got there
Love the music :D, the only issue I had was the player's bullets are so small and hard to see that I couldn't tell if I was hitting anything.
Congrats on the first jam, quite enjoyed your entry, the third level gave me some trouble for a while but I managed to pull through :)
Kept me hooked to the very end, the visual feedback is really solid and feels super polished
Fantastic art style and animations
Really enjoyed toying with this little sandbox. Really mesmerising to watch and listen to although I probably had too much fun shooting planets into each other from long range
I adore your art style. Plays really well too :D
Really well executed idea but damn earth could really use a few more hp (I don't just say that because I can't aim for shit :P)
You guys did a fantastic job. Amazing visual style and really fun gameplay overall. Well done!
Gorgeous visuals and music, good job you guys
Really neat concept, looks like the web version struggles a bit when you load/instance the scenes as there was some hitching the first time I selected each station type and the first time a robot spawned. With some polish this would be a really fun overcooked style panic cooking thing :)
The difficulty spike on like level 4 or 5 when it goes from 2-3 buttons and gates to like 8 really got me XD. I liked the warning overlay that shows where the fire will go though, really makes it manageable to keep track of where you're safe
Really fun survival game. Loved the atmosphere and challenge!
Super fun to play. I think you need to balance the barbed wire a bit. It's super easy to block off one of the rooms on all sides with several layers of wire and then let the turrets you get every couple of swaps take out most of the bears.
Enjoyable game, I liked the fact that the house respawns you while it's still standing. the controls were a bit awkward on mouse and keyboard as the aiming circle is always a fixed distance from the player which feels sluggish with a mouse. Lovely pixel art!
Made it with only 107 dents. Loved the random text messages I got along the way and also the crazy taxi drivers who cut me off a few times only to demolish a deer or another car right infront of me :D
@sleepystudios glad you enjoyed it :D
Love this interpretation of the theme. The art is really polished looking as well. The only thing that might have been good is to have the different clones announce their special abilities the first time you swap to them. It took me a til the second swap to the snow and shooting one to realise what their special ability is.
Not what I was expecting from ldj but was very pleasantly suprised. Nice work!
Some incredible atmosphere as other's have mentioned. There are a few issues with the UI prompts disappearing sometimes but that didn't really take away from any of the interesting gameplay imo.
Incredible polish for 72 hours. The only criticism I have is that it would be handy to have some form of the info in this page in game when you start the first time, just a quick 30 second slideshow of what the different buildings do etc...
The concept is pretty neat, the enemies don't spawn nearly fast enough though. I could clean up the whole ring in a couple seconds and wound up waiting a lot for new enemies.
Enjoyed it a lot. It would have been nice to get a heads up on when/what the next upgrade was as I would seeminly randomly recieve a new weapon. Also the later weapons feel worse than the starting pistol to some extent. Maybe its the enemy health scaling or the damage scaling but I was killing individual enemies faster with 1 or 2 pistols at the start than I was with the flamethrower and assault rifles later on.
Had a fun time but the laser is impossible to dodge without a boost unless I'm missing something. Really enjoyed the sprite work though
Really liked that you could set the timer yourself forcing you to pay attention to the guard. Neat game :)
Quite entertaining although as others have already pointed out the slimes are super easy to just avoid since they only get 3 moves. I also had some camera issues where it looked like the world is offset a bit, I couldn't see the top or right border of the dungeon at all or move there.
I love your art style. Very clean and easy to read but still quite unique. The gameplay is super snappy and responsive.
Excellent use of the theme, especially like the multiple windows for enemies. The art is really crisp too making it easy to see whats happening without getting overwhelmed
Love these kinds of chill games and your art style and color pallett are both really relaxing to play with
Cool TD in the vein of Sanctum 1 and 2. Was a little easy and once you placed two turrets and a mine you won't lose again. I also couldn't quite tell what the errosion stat meant in game. Nothing seemed to change as it got higher.
Loved your game so much. Really fun to play and the atmosphere and sounds are brilliant.
Absolutley love the art this and story on this. Really enjoayble experience all round and it all fits together so well.
Realy enjoyable twin stick shooter, I feel the player could be a little faster to make it more frantic but as is it works quite well. It did manage to crash my firefox somehow the first try, not sure what happened there but it was fine on the second attempt
@andrei-olaru I'm glad you enjoyed my first voice acting gig . Also excellent choice to store all copies of Dune (and hopefully Sand Pile) in the same spot!
@soot-potato CSG shape level blocking in Godot mostly courtesy of @bramreth will give you a very source 1 level feeling
@extar Probably should have reminded the player that in addition to a second hand they also have legs.
@jo-bettaque @anatol-dumitras Glad you guys liked our writing efforts as much as we enjoyed coming up with the lines during the jam
@bluedandelion glad you enjoyed it . @queenofsquiggles we lost lost many minutes during this jam just throwing books around the level and trickshotting them into shelves instead of working on stuff
@djtequila Thank youâ„¢
@inventivum-games what platform are you on, I've had it be too sensitive but never had to pick my mouse up to turn
@fatemperor Isn't it :books:
@inventivum-games That's a weird one, I'll have a look if I can find anyone else reporting the issue with godot engine games. Might just be an unfortunate combo of your mouse hardware settings, your windows mouse settings and godot's default mouse sensitivity
Really cool mechanics and gorgeous art style
Absolutely adore the art style and humor here. Looking forward to seeing where this goes on Steam if you guys continue working on it!
Love it, sounds design and art style are on point. Also really like that you can just keep playing and continue harvesting to your hearts content
Loving the old school graphics!
Very cool puzzel game/city builder. Love the calming atmosphere and the art style.
Really enjoyed playing your game. As others have mentioned the style is pretty unique and quite cool and I really liked the writing as well.
I think there's an issue with the fistfighting controls in the crew quarters though, the camera shows the top down view and the movement controls have adjust properly for the fight but the fist seems to move based on where the third person camera is not the top down one.
Art and music are great, don't quite get the theme connection but solid mechanics otherwise
Love your art style and enjoyed the run. One minor issue I found was the triangle icons warning you of things could do with some kind of border to make them stand out a bit more. Especially the red ones on red base turrets
This has a lot of old school web flash games enegry. Very fun and quite frantic later on as the bugs are so fast. I wish the little ones had a bit more color to them, they can get quite hard to see once the floor is covered in enough guts.
Love the art style and chill gameplay
Man that was a challenge! Really solid super meatboy/celeste style game, the snappy controls really bring it all together
Enjoyed playing your game a lot, the frantic search for items was really fun
Neat spin on the theme with limited visual space to play with as time goes on. It might be nice to make the background and foreground sprites have more distinct colors since they are often very similar making it a little hard to see where you're going.
Really good work for your first game. Was a tad easy but its pretty common to over or undershoot difficulty during game jams when you've only got a few hours to really playtest the final product.
The atmosphere is quite oppressive but I'm not 100% sure what I'm supposed to be doing. Congrats on your first game!
