LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Barely Something Barely Somewhere Every Ten Seconds by shreemp 2022-10-04T02:14:14Z

I like the art!

10S ARENA by Moonblast 2022-10-04T18:21:34Z

Fun little arena shooter! As other's have already mentioned, it would be nice to aim up and down, as well as having a crosshair. I absolutely loved the music, and the idea of changing the arena's layout every 10 seconds is pretty unique and interesting.

10 Second Defence by ZLuca 2022-10-04T18:06:05Z

As someone who made a kind of similar game, I can appreciate the amount of effort you must have put in when designing the layout and all the different types of troops/enemies. Honestly, the main critique I would have is there should be some feedback when your troops deal damage, because it is hard to tell if they are doing anything sometimes. But, considering this was was made in 3 days I'm still very impressed by the amount of content the game has--with a little more polishing I could see it being quite fun and addicting.

Slime Dungeon Escape by Cheesecube 2022-10-05T23:48:39Z

@zluca yeah, I meant similar in that they are both top-down point and click games. Not so similar gameplay wise lol, just in a broader sense. Thanks for taking the time to check our game out!

Slime Dungeon Escape by Cheesecube 2022-10-08T03:20:58Z

@mr-deku Thanks for the feedback! I completely agree the game would be much better with intelligent slime movement--it was actually on my to-do list but I did not have time to implement it for the jam.

LD53 — Delivery

Very Fast Food by LeReveur 2023-05-10T22:52:10Z

Nice, simple game. It's like Angry Birds but you are helping instead of destroying the buildings. I can tell you put a lot of effort into the catapult mechanic--the bullet curve is very accurate, and the little arrow showing you where the package is off-screen is a nice touch. Some more content would have been nice, but from the comments above it seems like that was not doable in the time-frame. Overall, an enjoyable game!

Cargo Cove by superjai 2023-05-04T03:13:11Z

Super fun, very good graphics, impressive upgrade system, kinda grindy near end

Pigeon Splat by adjo 2023-05-10T23:00:39Z

Very funny concept, I love how the poop accumulates if you poop on the same person twice.

Cavrncrate by JumboDS64 2023-05-04T02:24:26Z

Interesting puzzles, liked sprites, did not appreciate L being jump

FedUp by jward 2023-05-04T04:16:09Z

Well designed platformer, I like the name, and design was cool! Drone actually controlled pretty smoothly and I'm excited to see more levels!

Ancient Order of Michaels by MaiMai 2023-05-04T03:43:51Z

funny concept, ran well, little repetitive

Hot Dog Rescue by Roolow 2023-05-04T04:07:34Z

Interesting concept, very short, little on the difficult side

Not a Bot! by Jeremy Ho 2023-05-04T02:34:53Z

Fun if you like cookie clicker, loaded fast for me, very polished for a gamejam

Styx and Stones by Baconeta 2023-05-03T23:09:57Z

Amazing art and music! The writing was also enjoyable, although the gameplay was a little bit repetitive. Edit: Also I really like your interpretation of the theme. It's one one of the more unique ones I have seen thus far.

de-Liver by noskro 2023-05-04T03:55:03Z

Reminds me of getting drunk in Deep Rock Galactic

Food Service Singularity by Cheesecube 2023-05-03T03:31:45Z

@brineleaves Thanks for playing! That level is probably the most difficult one--you need to use momentum to throw the fridge through the yellow barrier. I'll be sure to play your submission as well as @braveskin's very soon. Also the music was done by @maidmage and @andycofsky so I'll be sure to pass along the compliment.

Food Service Singularity by Cheesecube 2023-05-03T22:38:55Z

@xsangyhix All the music was made by my other team members @maidmage and @andycofsky. If you are referring to the use of the wilhelm scream, from my research it is essentially in the public domain-although admittedly it is obviously not our own creation. Either way, I respect your decision not to vote in the audio quality, I just wanted to clarify any potential misunderstandings.

Food Service Singularity by Cheesecube 2023-05-03T23:13:45Z

@oliver-pope thanks for the detailed feedback! I agree with all of your points on possible improvements--many of which we simply did not have the time to do. We are definitely going to release an update sometime in the near future because we think there is a lot of potential for interesting puzzles with the mechanics in our game.

Food Service Singularity by Cheesecube 2023-05-05T05:12:16Z

@jward thanks for playing, sorry to hear that about the frame rate. It should be locked at 60fps but sometimes Webgl can be weird

Food Service Singularity by Cheesecube 2023-05-07T23:06:40Z

@flying-dog-fish sorry you encountered that bug! It was a known issue when we submitted but unfortunately we did not have time to fix it. We will be updating the game after finals (we are college students so we don't have a lot of time).

Divine Messenger by ndellam 2023-05-05T01:53:34Z

Definitely gives me Jump King or Getting Over It vibes. The jump only happening on release is weird at first, but I think it is actually kind of an interesting mechanic since the longer you hold it down the higher you jump. I think some kind of visual gauge to show the player how much their jump is "charged" would help a lot though--it was a bit frustrating trying to land some of those tighter jumps when I couldn't accurately recreate my previous attempts. I ended up reaching the section with the glass blocks before giving up because it was quite difficult. Finally, the loss of control when in the air also feels weird but again that seems intentional since this is clearly a rage platformer lol. Anyways, I think with a little more tuning this could be a pretty fun game for people who enjoy this genre.

PARCEL ROCKET by Braveskin 2023-05-03T21:04:04Z

A bit difficult for a jam game I think, but surprisingly fun! I couldn't get past the first level, but I still spent 10 minutes trying and enjoying myself. It kind of reminds me of games like getting over it where part of the fun is how difficult the controls are.

Towers N' Treasure by BrineLeaves 2023-05-03T20:51:14Z

It's nice to see a tower defense game in this jam, I don't usually see too many of those. I think the downtime between rounds is a bit long, especially considering how long it takes the enemies to reach the dragon. That being said, the concept is interesting and has a lot of potential.

Towers N' Treasure by BrineLeaves 2023-05-07T02:25:57Z

Wow! Version 1.2 is a lot better! The gameplay is a lot more exciting with the quicker rounds, and the smaller map allowed me to actually explore it without getting completely lost.

We Suck At Deliveries by Blo 2023-05-03T22:58:22Z

Love the art style! The smiling bushes are especially cute. The controls overall felt nice, even with the weird but surprisingly usable q+e to rotate the camera. The only real issue I have is that it was very finicky sucking in packages. I did not realize it was based on mouse position and not the sucking tube's position until I read someone's comment. Overall though, very good for your first time participating in ludum!

Boxtopia Drifter by Joe Stack 2023-05-04T03:29:59Z

Kinda fun, very repetitive, but impressive first game!!!
