LD46 — Keep it alive

Pig For Slaughter by PotatoAndTaco 2020-04-21T21:43:33Z

Plays pretty smooth, but as a suggestion: it would've been cool if there was a running animation of some sorts, the idle animation could be sped up when running. Also, nice little warning when the player walks out of the screen, love these kind of little details :)

Operation Asteroid by SvartTand 2020-04-23T08:17:44Z

Brought back a lot of nostalgia for me, reminded me of some of the games in the early 2000s. The amount of target crashing towards earth went from 0 to 100 real quick for me, and it can feel a little unrewarding to not hit them after aiming and shooting at them for quite long. Thanks for the game, it's really cool!

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-04-23T08:05:07Z

Had fun trying to defend those little cuties from being snatched, really well balanced too! Didn't take too long for the amount of gnomes to build up, but wasn't too quick either. Solid game!

Gloubik by Bryoche 2020-04-21T21:56:34Z

Was quite a relaxing experience, I liked the sound effects a lot! There's something very soothing about hearing a heartbeat so nearby.. It's kind of a bummer that it stopped after wave 2 though, wanted to continue for sure.

Tumbleweed by Brenan 2020-04-22T16:11:56Z

Visually stunning, gave me a real post-apocalyptic vibe. The music fitted nicely into the setting. The ending made me laugh out loud, great job!

@teawhydee Thanks for the feedback! The difficulty has been a point that's been raised before, so I agree with you. Increasing the speed could've made for fun situations too!

@gamescodedogs @darkmax14 @kantal @jonhg @anrqangel @bigquacko Reading some of the comments above, I realise that I never made clear that you could HOLD the mouse button to add power to your throw. I'm gonna do an update on the in-game instructions tonight, to make sure all players know that you can throw wood from quite far away.

Feel free to give the game another try using the hold button as intended, it's a lot more fun that way!

@gamescodedogs thanks for the sweet feedback, appreciate it! :)

@svarttand Thanks for the video! However.. You seemed to miss a key gameplay point here, which is that you can throw the wood from very far away if you hold the left mouse button to increase your throwing distance. You don't have to die, ever. I have to ask, did you encounter a bug where you couldn't throw any further while holding the left mouse button?

Bonfire Boogaloo by Jan-Pieter Inghels 2020-04-24T13:33:04Z

@svarttand Hey, don't be sorry! You were not the only person who didn't try to hold the mouse button, so it's clearly something I should make more clear in the game itself. Thanks for the video again, I really appreciate it. Your score was pretty good aswell :) Could I maybe use your video to add as gameplay footage for the itch.io page of the game?
