Cool visuals and sounds and show a lot of promise however there seems to be a few bugs, the q and e stopped working after a bit, the boat ui on the radar seems to appear occasionaly but is missing most of the time, the download version seems to have an issue with objects moving separately from the boat, web version seems to function the best

Awesome visuals And I like that you implemented a tutorial into the game not a lot of Ludum Dare games do that. It was fun to play however after a while the q & e stopped working.
Super cool implementation, I also ran into the q/e problem, but loved all the little touches. The wall map was an A+ inclusion!

Cool game! I liked standing on the deck and realising that I was going to run full speed against a wall  The only issue I ran into was that if you were speeding towards a checkpoint, it could result in a game over before it was shown in the sonar even once. Maybe I should have spent more time on the deck looking for the lights

@jaaskeh Thanks for your comment ! I think what you are referring to as checkpoint are that watchtower that spot you if you use full speed.

Wow very cool and atmospheric and beautiful. I love the concept as well.. i did crash even though I was staying within the "black" area of my sonar though.. maybe I needed to be running outside to look out as well? OVerall great concept and nice execution

What a fantastic entry!! Super on theme and really atmospheric, the tutorial was super helpful and the whole experience was lovely and streamlined! definitely one i'll be returning to finish!
Really cool concept, I love the sound scape with the sonar going off, really creepy. I never made it to the end as I quickly crashed. The speed/wheel controls kept overlapping, like one wasn't disabling after looking away. So the ship was impossible to control.
Overall, a really great entry.
so many cool aspects to this game. the sonar sounds, the vibe of being on the sea at night, the map on the wall. unfortunately i get really bad motion sickness, so i was only able to play for about a minute. i turned the sensitivity down, but it was still a bit much for me. seems like such a cool game though. congrats!

@tinykidtoo what version did you play ?
@arscene I played the webgl version at the itch.io link.

@tinykidtoo thank you, that's a new one. If you want to, you can try the exe (assuming you are on windows).
I like it, a fun atmospheric boat sim, even if a bit slow paced for my personal taste. Good work!

Really nice game. The graphics were 5/5. I dont know if it was a bug or a feature, but I crashed my ship without any warning on the sonar nor seeing anything on the deck. I did not have the will to try again after sailing 10 minutes in the darkness and crashing without apparent reason. But it was still enjoyable for me. :) I really like games like these, many complex systems interacting together and not too much hand-holding. This was really impressive as it was made only in few days.

Really cool game! The graphics are amazingggg! I love the interactable objects!!! Although I mostly don't know what I am doing XD Maybe I am just bad at games. I have hard time knowing what to do at the steering wheel.Screenshot_2.png

Really awesome style, graphics, and atmosphere. Also great inclusion of an in-game tutorial. I wish that there were either more mechanics to engage with re: upkeeping the boat and avoiding enemies, or that it moved a bit faster overall.

@zhelding Thanks for your feedback. We have a lot of idea how we could provide a better experience but the 72h you know... Anyway Im happy you liked the atmosphere !
this is incredible! not only did you manage to make some fine consept art and great 3d models in such a short time, but also the gamplay itself is really solid! I can already see this on itch.io in the future after some polishing and additional mechanics! this game deserves to be continued after the jam.. really nice work everyone I had a really great time!

I crashed just before the end ><. An incredible game, really simple in mechanics but with a really strong in mood! GG
Incredible game, very nice concept, good job to your team! I feel it just needs a tutorial to learn how to move the ship, but everything is perfect in this game! Made this in 3 days is awesome, be proud!

Game is awesome. I think it would be cool to have a leaderboard at the end to force players sail faster.
obviously i love pirates thank you for this boating sim

the game is great. i was taken away by the atmosphere, but after a while there should be an emergency or something, otherwise it gets too boring. Eventuel a machine damage or so. I find the graphics for 3 days super made. The light brings out the mood even further. Super made keep it up
Art looks lovely done and the art direction is there. The gameplay was not as easy to understand as I expected tho. Very moody!
The radio sound was a bit annoying... Maybe changing it speed and pitch each time could have given it a bit more life...

I like the idea behind this game A LOT, I don't know why but something about it reminded me of Outer Wilds (maybe it's the peculiar way you pilot the ship? Loved it).
I can see in your presentation that an impressive amount of thought went into the concept art, and it definitely shows - the ship is well designed and full of details, and the foggy environment creates the perfect atmosphere for this kind of game. Aside from the main cabin, though, I found the gamma way too dark and had some trouble understanding what was happening on screen at times.
After quite some time, I understood that the green light on the left was a radar and the red button on the right was a fuel indicator: after noticing it it became one of those "silly me, that's so obvious" moments, but I still think it would have helped to have a simple text line at the beginning explaining this detail. However the idea itself, navigating dark waters using your radar, is really beautiful in my opinion.
To me it's not fully clear how the jam theme was implemented... It can't be related to fuel because it clearly lasts longer than that, maybe it has to do with the radio icon that appears in the bottom right corner every now and then?
As a composer, I couldn't help but noticing the absence of background music, but the ambience sounds on their own created a very immersive effect nonetheless.
Overall, I had a lot of fun. Good luck with the jam!

@pier-v Thank you for your detailed comment ! The link with the theme is the radar that proc every 10sec. The game is a bit rough indeed but I'm happy that you had a good moment ! Thank you.

Silly me, that changes everything! I adjusted my ratings, thanks for letting me know - and very original idea! :D
Really nice graphic, art direction and global mood.
The quality level seems very strong on your submission.
The radar shutting down every 10 sec is a nice idea. I wanted to play multiple time in a row to get better =)
Sounds is nice but maybe not as nice as the graphics. I guess Footsteps would be great to reinforce the silent/loneliness feel.

Def 5 stars on mood on this one. Looking between the map, radar, and refueling made this appropriate stressful.

Superb mood and immersion in this game, unfortunately I couldn't finish the entire game and quickly got motion sickness D: (my problem) It's super impressive to whip up all these assets in such a short time, great entry!
great atmosphere and art! your team has made an amazing job! controls are fluid. and thank you for posting some beautiful research art

I love the way you made control of the ship. It feels very cool. Also atmosphere and visuals are awesome.
Some incredible atmosphere as other's have mentioned. There are a few issues with the UI prompts disappearing sometimes but that didn't really take away from any of the interesting gameplay imo.

I loved the anxious atmosphere with the darkness and the recurring radar sound! It was a great idea to use a radar because 10s feels right for the update. (in some other games it can feel like 10s is too long)
Very cool, i love the ingenious approach of highly polishing the ship while leaving the outside world ambiguous! I also enjoyed the substance designer map generation, although i assumed you'd get a random shape every play, which doesn't seem to be the case; great result regardless! IMO the ship travel is a bit too slow with the current level of content, but congrats for the moody, polished experience!
This one feels like one of the most atmospheric games this jam. Kind of relaxing yet anxious, just sailing a ship. Gameplay wise there's just enough complexity to keep yourself on your toes unless you want get caught or crash.
Well done, team!

This game feels looks very solid, very well done for a Ludum Dare game! I like how all the controls are explained from within the game. Sometimes it is a bit dark to see stuff, but yea.. that adds to the melancholy feel of the game. Very well done!
Edit: I saw your post on how the maps are created before. Really impressive!
Gives me heavy Iron Lung vibes (which I love a lot)
The art direction is top-notch! In love with the concept art as well, that goes a step beyond anything I've seen so far! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, which is both a blessing and a curse because the game never really capitalized on the tension.
Still an absolute win overall - I would love to see this expanded upon!

What a fantastic art and the mood is really nice. The game gave me some sweet Sea of Thieves feels when manipulating the boat and all. Very good entry!
Steering the boat via sonar/radar and the steering wheel feel really satisfying, took me a lil while to get the hang of the wheel but the learning curve was nice. Super atmospheric minimal audio adds a really nice touch. The big map was a really nice touch for helping me guide myself via compass as well.
That's an AWESOME jam game. A perfect mood and art direction, controls are flawless, gameplay super relaxing & spooky at the same time, the map generation is perfect. Some kind of dark ambient music is the only thing the game lacks.
Since the game can be quite hard at the beginning, I guess some kind of mini tutorial mission would have been a nice addition, but hey, it's a ludum dare game, you already made an awesome job in a very little time, I can't ask for too much.
It's one of the best LD51 game I've played so far.
Awesome mood, but I got slightly sick from camera  Probably I'm not a sea guy in any sense
