Very long winter XD
It is a very hostile environement. I didn't found how to defend myself from deer and wolfs. I die every times ;)
Very fun survival game! Reminds me a lot of Don't Starve.
I like the hexagonal grid and the winter setting. I'd like to see some movement animation, not just teleporting to the next grid, and also a clearer way to tell the player when they are close to dying, maybe the screen should shake or turn red.
But, overall, it's a nice game. Congrats!
Pretty cool game! Lots of mechanics for a jam, but easy enough to learn - I was soon sprinting around, chopping down the local wildlife at breakneck speed. :) Fog-of-war is a bit oppressive, but making a ton of campfires helps. Good job!
@mrbamboo Thanks for playing, a good way to start out is to find some branches from a forest and equip one. This will allow you to take on a deer or two before dying!
@otaviobia Thank you for the feedback, we were hoping to add such polish and effects in a post jam version so your feedback is very helpful!
@mindbug Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you were able to get to grips with the mechanics!
Cool survival game, with inspirations – I'm guessing – from Don't Starve and the Long Dark. Clearly a lot of effort put into the design, the game has enough content for multiple playthroughs, which is already an achievement for the Jam. The UI could use some polishing up, especially in making the status icons more distinct (I mostly relied on the numbers available on mouse hover). Otherwise, congrats on this solid entry!
@mikolak Hi, thanks for the feedback and kind words. Going forward for a post-jam version we would definitely look into adding more effects to represent the stats, we realised a little too late how hard it was too keep track of them so we added the always show stats option in the settings as a minor fix but with some more visual and audio changes it could definitely be improved!
Great game, quite tricky, a tutorial on how to cook meat, what to lpok for etc.. would be nice. But outside of this, great entry !
@alexis-brochec Thanks for playing, we are working on an in-game tutorial to address the problem!
I really like the hex map and the mechanics I just wish there were some instructions on how to cook and etc even just a rough guide, I found a bear head to wear as a hat and then died to starvation but there's so much depth to this game, as well as the fact that it seems to be randomly generated, great entry
@misfire-dev Thanks for playing and for the feedback, an in-game tutorial is definitely needed!
I like how many different systems you were able to implement!
@martynas Thanks!
Really fun survival game. Loved the atmosphere and challenge!
@darkmax14 Thank you!
I was able to beat the game twice to get the bad and good ending, with 4 and 20 points each. The spinning plates system was well done, as even on a good run I would make a careless slip and die! A well made survival game through and through!
Even though the strange monsters from locations were usually instant death, I always looked in them as their potential rewards were too good. There could be a way to mitigate that? The lighting system was neat to show passage of time, and your fires. I would have liked to see other sources of light naturally in the world somehow.
The most bothersome action I had to keep doing was going into my inventory to press a small button to make a campfire. Even making that button bigger would help with such a crucial function! Overall, excellent work!
Interesting survival/story game, the interaction mechanics are really nice. Great job!
@toppervideogames Thanks for the feedback, we had toyed with the idea of the cabins or certain event tiles giving off light but it made them stand out too much.
@matt-ravenhall Thanks for playing!
Nicely Done Bro. really nice concept and use of the 10 second theme. Would love to see this game developed further and released in a larger scale. The game really give a nice overall look. Can find a bit incomplete but then again its a Jam game so, its great anyways. Overall good job great efforts. Please do check out my submission as well.
@baylock Thanks for playing, your entry was great!
Cool one
A nice survival game, I don't think I've ever played one on a hex setup! The screen fading effect while freezing was a really nice subtle indicator that kept me feeling anxious to head back to the fire
Very promising game ! I made some playthroughs and managed to get an axe and a wolf head.
Not sure why you wanted this to have some ratings on the humor, the game is more creepy than funny, but great job !
Amazing game!
@aj-studio Thanks!
@alpharock6 Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!
@stingby12 Thanks for playing! I think we are just used to enabling all voting categories regardless of the game at this point.
@lavamagmo Thanks!
