Nice little platformer with cool graphics and sound!
Nnnice! :)
Guitar hero - yey! With cool graphics and sound. But I wish the tones would be more in sync with the playing track, so one could really help play the music right. They seem to be random now.
Nice and original game concept! The music rocks! :)
Lester-Dewey , LD :)))
Awesome art, music, mood and characters! Keep up the good work!
Diving and having to hold your breath - great take on the theme!
Cool graphics and sound also.
I too wasn't able to quit the tutorial, but refreshed the page and started a new game. I got my first two parameters half scale upgraded when I died and I found out my progress was gone :(
It's too hardcore this way.
Good game, extremely good audio! The music made me want to play more! :D Congrats!
Amazing graphics and very nice music! Please finish this to a complete game!
Man, your art rocks, your music rocks, your gameplay rocks, and your setting rocks! You should have called it "my game rocks"! :D It was too small though, please continue and make more levels! Congrats!
Very clever math training concept! Nice mood too!
Great, minimal but polished game! Way too difficult at times but fun anyway!
Very cool idea! Deserves more attention and post-compo work! Keep it up!
Awesome game! The concept, the art, the music - all perfect! Would be great if it had multiplayer, hotseat for example. Some things felt a bit unfair though:
- the AI could move over the spikes.
- if I move over the AI's place, then I die. When it moves over me - I die again. I guess in the second case it should die instead.
- resetting of the score is a bit hardcore. You could keep the kills of both parties and compete for the difference.
It's a compo entry but without the source?
Nevertheless a great game! Congratulations!
Dark, but with a message. Moving and touching. Respect!
Very nice little game! It's a bit too easy but nevertheless it got me drowning lots of pirates!
You could add "drown count" so one can get his score and impress his girlfriend too - "look babe, I've drowned lots of people in your honor"! :D
Btw I hope you've impressed her!
Really good game! The game design makes you forget you're playing with a square! Nice touch with the perks, I rather enjoyed it!
Funny idea! Love the ironic LD point of view! :)
Very cool graphics! Like funselektor said, the intro could use a way to be skipped.
Hahaha, funny idea! I got the bug with the shadow as others complained. Where you're moving only the shadow, and the hand is updated only when you click.
Very cool polished game with nice graphics and sound! Funny take on the theme. Having money for hit-points and using the chest for protection - genius! You did amazing job guys!
Fun game. Sometimes when I hit the bad guys with the ball, nothing happened. I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm missing something?
Man! Check my entry! We had the same idea about the chain reaction! But totally different games! :)
For yours I can say it felt more like a simulation and I couldn't understand if my action does anything more than rotating the camera?
Anyway - nice!
Nice little game :) The explosion sound is hilarious!
Fun :) it's harder on zoomed in state than on zoomed out.
Nice atmosphere and corE idea ;)
However I must agree with Nelien and JaJ that it was a bit too literal. Too much story, less interaction. If you continue working on it - please consider removing texts, and letting the player guess what is happening without guiding him all the time. Give him breadcrumbs and let him build the story himself.
About "sometimes things are not what they seem" and walking on air - it's nice idea, but it's good to have some visual feedback attached to it, like "semi-transparent, almost invisible" tile once you land on it. So you actually know it's not a bug and it's supposed to behave like this.
Anyway - compliments for making such an experiment!
The game is tough but well done! And you use Phaser - yeeey! :)
My favorite item was the ring, the one to rule them all! ;)
Man, the idea is Awesome! Totally hilarious! Missing music, but great game anyway!
Haha, fun game. Nice take on the theme!
Haha, fun concept, nice graphics and sound!
Cool game! Congrats! :)
I just wish there was a way to see what spell will you have when you combine the gems, before you actually enter the dungeon. So you could check the possibilities and choose the one you most like.
I couldn't understand what I am actually doing, but the graphics and the mood are great!
Nice funny game! Huge variety of evil penguins! Great :)
Man your game is a jewel! It kept me hooked until I've beaten it.
Sometimes it generated strange results, or it felt like it did (probably I didn't understand all the rules, but then they should be told in a tutorial). For example I thought my satellite would crash into the central star, but instead of that it went trough the star and got it's trajectory strangely twisted. I am not sure if the pulsation of the star has some effect over the trajectories? More feedback about the types of the planets, attract/repel, would be nice too.
Making looped orbit, ellipsis or 8-like was a great pleasure! If you add some kind of score or achievement for it will be a great bonus to the warm feeling! :)
Also, some Solaris soundtrack-like music would fit perfectly.
Anyway - a perfect game! Respect!
Hilarious!
Got stuck after the thief escaped and the guards were called... And I really wanted to start shooting after reading about your "pew pew" sound :)))
Anyway, nice graphics and humor! Good job!
Wow! Man your games rock! This is an amazing entry!
I've also checked QbQbQb - a killer! Hotline Trail - too!
Not to mention the music in all of them... Overall "speechless"!
Hilarious!
I was just about to write "Man, you've written a lot for two days" when I've realized you are a woman. In an instant it makes sense the protagonist to be female too.
You're very good at setting the right mood.
I see no problem with theme - "You only get one - home!"
Respect for making a text based game, which won't appeal to the mass. Was that you singing the songs?
Nice game concept! Lovely graphics and music! Though as others said it gets tedious very quickly.
The fact that the moving directions are changed clockwise, makes it easy and fast to make "clockwise maneuvers" like: move right, move down, move left.
However if you want to make a counter clockwise maneuver ("left, down, right"), you will wait one cycle between every move.
Some suggestions for experimentation:
- add second control, which can switch between the two cycling rotations (clockwise or counter clockwise).
- add game speed control, which would affect the direction cycling speed as well as all objects (enemies and obstacles) in the game.
Maaaaaaaaaan! Awesome game!!!
Please continue making it and polish it! I saved it to be played at our gaming nights with the gang!
Two suggestions:
- when you're generating the random terrain between the guys make sure there is always something blocking the direct strait-forward line of sight. I got clear line several times, which is easy shoot.
- make it for more simultaneous players. 4 at least, 6 or more if you can! It would be Uber fun!!! :)
Very cool game! I wish it would have been more rogue-like with dungeon exploring, than just defending from waves of enemies, but anyway I've enjoyed it very much!
Nice idea! The graphics weren't so cool but the music is great! Auto saving didn't work for me in the web version.
Very good job there! Congratulations! The controls felt a bit sluggish for me, but maybe I am having performance problem... (I don't see anyone else complaining about it). Will try multiplayer too :)
Wonderful game! Amazing work! The mood was so right it got me hooked and wishing to start watching detective movies or read books!
However, one of the bugs that you've told not to look onto spoiled the joy: I've got the mobsters in the room and when trying to select the option "Truth", they were saying the same lines as the "Alibi" question. :(
Really want to see this title polished and released!
A bit too hard with the items restriction. Anyway good job!
@SkyWolf, thanks! Yes we, didn't get to sort the levels by difficulty.
@Xeke_Death, thanks! That is an interesting idea about the colors. The level 12 and the music are bugs, I'll fix them in a post-jam version :)
@harsanalif - the same about the music bug. Hopefully we'll add more levels if we continue it.
@Cbeed - thanks for the feedback!
After reading what koller-digital wrote, I think you maybe right about the resetting of the level. It probably creates more useless burden for the player than "joy of beating the hard difficulty".
@Diptoman - yes that's beatable! But really takes some thinking...
Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you guys for the feedback!
I've uploaded a post-jam version where most of the issues are addressed - check the details on top.
@torcado194 - yes i thought of adding "reset" after I made it to keep the positions (as everyone seems to wanted it). but it's still missing. for now you can do it by refreshing the webpage, it will keep your progress but reset your level.
@chiguireitor - Allowing more shoots would negate the theme, you only got one neutron to start the reaction :) Otherwise, outside of the theme it's an option. The fastest time for reaction and counting less rotations is also a thing I thought about. Definitely would go in if I continue the game.
Thank you everyone for the comments and the feedback!
@chiguireitor - yes, being javascript game it will run on mobile. Phaser has some resolution detection methods too, but I'll probably rewrite it in another tech for mobile.
@netmute - yes, this bug is happening in the original version. In the post jam one it's fixed.
@henrykun - yes, I am thinking about mobile version.
@steamgirl - thanks for the kind words! In what browser did you play it? I forgot to write it's best played in Chrome or latest FireFox. There you should have audio too.
Hahaha! Great concept and humor! Funny game!
Wonderful game! Art, sound, mechanics - everything's excellent! I've missed the mute sound button, and there were some minor bugs - the arrows sometimes started from the middle of the screen. But other than that it's perfect! I've seen the "go all the way until obstacle" mechanic in other puzzles too, but not this mix with the pre-defined actions! Great touch! Congrats!
Man that's genius and hilarious!!! Congrats for the idea and the humor! Also the way it fits the theme is original. Of course there is room for improvement and polish as always but the base is solid. Respect!
I've had the same idea for some time, about "one day/minute fly" inspired by this short brilliant movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Wf8yEb1cwY
Your take is great! And it's a complete game! Congratulations! I hope you'll release it and get some attention! :)
Cool idea. Reminds me of Bulls and Cows http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulls_and_cows . But man that was difficult to grasp at first! It's not that the concept is hard to understand, but I think a better explanation is needed. Tutorials for sure as others suggested. Anyway - great accomplishment for such a short time!
Nice concept - nice game!
Angelina is very interesting project! The game itself is too simple. It seem the AI got the mood, but not the play. If it have added shooting at the statues that you must avoid and a goal how much ships you have to collect, it would have been better. It felt like playing "art-message" type of game, which is kind of strange for programmatic result when you think about it. But hey, you've made an AI artist - congratulations! :)
Very good and polished game! Too difficult for me. Please consider a version with a lighter difficulty, like getting to endure 3 hits for example. Anyway - amazing job!
Your game is great, but way too hard! I've hacked my way trough the code :)
Great little game! Gorgeous graphics and music! Man, gimme the soundtrack! :D
1010 was my best score. I would have been cool if you could move around before you place your shot. Any chance that you're Russian? (the word on the Mona Lisa vandal icon made me ask about it)
Great graphics, sound, mood and message.
Nice idea. Towerfall fans aren't we? :D
Great game done in no time!
Very nice mood!
Nice dark atmosphere!
A bit hard to spot the dangerous spikes, and once spotted sometimes it's a bit too hard to avoid them too in a tight tunnels.
One suggestion: put some small collectible lumen along the way. when you collect them, they might serve you as both health points, and light source (the light around the character to grow with every lumen).
Then when you get hurt by the spikes, the player might lose the lumen, lose light, but stay alive.
By this you'll give more chance to the player and some collecting mechanic might increase the fun.
Very nice little dungeon crawler! From game design's point of view, you've managed to find the core of the genre! Well done!
Btw you have some numbers (dices I guess?) being dumped in the console :) probably a leftover from the development.
Easel.js? We've used it last time at LD27, but now I've switched to Phaser (http://phaser.io) Give it a try, you'd like it!
Very minimal, polished and hard! Great entry!
I find it hard for me :) Is there always a way to win?
Also I couldn't exit the game, maybe a bug or something...
Why isn't there a web version since it's made with Unity?
Nice little game with funny metaphor! Missing only sound and music.
Really beautiful and warm experience! When I was playing it, I was thinking about touching people's lives and then at the end I saw the message and it felt really good! You definitely got your message trough the gameplay which is an accomplishment by itself!
All I wanted during the play was that at the end to have the whole picture painted by all dots - and you delivered that!
What can I say except "a complete experience"! Thank you!
Really fantastic art! Visual excellence! The game feels perfect! However, if I could change a thing, it would be to add death upon collision with the enemy (instead of just temporary stun), to make it a bit more challenging. But then you should be able to retry the wave / level, otherwise it would become too hardcore.
Anyway - great game guys, congratulations!
Charming little companionship game! Great graphics, sound and mood!
Nice little Phaser game! I will check the code, cause I'm interested how it's made. My entry uses Phaser too! :)
Very interesting concept! A bit too hard levels, but great anyway!
Definitely one of the best games in LD! Great art, sound and mood. Amazing job!
Interesting experimental concept! Got me playing for a while, but man, that's hard! :)
Nice simulation! I got some troubles getting the hunters at first. I was clicking at the huts to provide hunters, but instead normal adventurers appeared and they were scared of the animals. Then I made huts far away of the animals and getting hunters worked there. Anyway, good job!
Great concept! Amazing music!
Wonderful game and amazing accomplishment for compo entry! Great art and music! Also the battle mechanic is interesting.
I'm not a fan of Zelda-like games, but yours is a perfect creation and deserves highest ratings. Respect!
Nice idea! Looks like a complete game - congrats!
Nice game! :) Got a bit burdensome and slow after a while. You can expand it with other mechanics to make it more fun, like battling forest creatures, growing a farm with sheep (and protect it from wolves) etc.
Nice concept and graphics! Really liked the parallax backgrounds.
Awesome graphics!
Great graphics and idea! Only the sound is missing to complete it! I hope you'll polish it.
As said in some comments, controls need a bit tweaking or showing a prediction line. I guess some of the troubles there might be from Stencyl?
Superb game in any category! Amazing work for such short time! Respect!
Genius! The idea is great! The sound is hilarious! The difficulty is too hard at times but anyway - perfect game!
Wow! Great game! Too hard, but the world, the atmosphere, the controls and movement are perfect. It's a bit frustrating though, to walk great distances to get to the place where you do the action. If the world was filled with enemies in your way to the bosses, so you could spring to immediate action, it would be perfect!
Nice graphics, music and humor!
Very nice entry with a humorous twist :)
Huge accomplishment for 3 days of work! Congratulations Evil Cult!
I was experiencing performance problems too, like other players said. Even died because of that. It was a bit too easy: monsters die easily and you get a lot of loot, which feels good but makes the difficulty low. Also I missed mini-map of the dungeon, which would be very nice to have.
Anyway you've done amazing job! Respect!
Incredible work done for such short period of time! Respect! The game is great and feels complete with the only exception of missing music.
Is the Underdeep followed by the Underdark? ;)
Wow, really hardcore :) but i liked it!
