I don't understand why you put grey bg under your character toughh. I'd appreciated if an option to accelerate the game was implemented.

The game is pretty simple. Can't play correctly. since wasd is unplayable on foreign layout. You might wannna bind arrows as well :)

The game is running on stage 3d, some low end pc can have issues running it. You should ahve latest flash and latest video driver to enjoy ( a non intel gpu is a must too ) ...

@axcho indeed we are pretty used to flash games ( see motion twin on google... ) but we can assure you it could not run without gpu accel being coded in 3 days (optimising for flash requires lot of work...). See ya :)

Regarding colors, it was our first game with a bloom post processing that allows bleeding and in fact it just speed up the game because rendering to target on flash induce a scissoring (not present in display list render)... that was my tiny programmer evil inner darkness speaking...
We would love to enhance the game a little, I'll think of a v2 after hollidays !

I suggest to avoid putting a same color on your main character and in your background for a good visibility.
the mix of pixart and 3D render is surprising, the controls are akward also.
I liked the look of the character tought and the overall mood.
The game looks way too difficult, i understand the one life thing to respect the theme, but due to that replaying the game isn't comfortable.
Checkpoints would be a great way to help the player finish the game.
I didn't catch the goal of the game, but it's hypnotic. It reminds me of the washing machine's power of mind absorbtion.

The mood reminded me of a mix between the cluedo and the browergame Mush.
A one click game isn't simple to do, you did it well altough.

nice appropriation of paul robertson's work but the overall feeling make me think the game is just an alpha version of scott pilgrim, by the look of it, you can do a much original and better game next time!

Great atmosphere. I would have loved some sound effects on top of the chilling music ! Controls are a bit slow, and remember WASD is a pain in some countries that don't use QWERTY keyboards... :P
You can't wrong with arcade can you ? Awesome piece of fun !! A bit to play with keyboard and mouse, but still loads of fun :) Too bad you don't display the score at the end of a game. I can't keep an eye on the score while playing :D

- Regarding sync, we had to make some choices and focus and we will add a tuning widget be cause just like rock band of guitar hero, some people have very different timing sync setup
2- regarding buttons, I cannot finish level with only one button, maybe if I perfect the whole track but I cannot manage it so maybe you were very very lucky !
3- For us you really need the two buttons and the mass of zombies is growing that's why how we fit the theme and we really crafted the game based upon the theme ( for once )...
At some point we had to decide between a demanding game and one that was more rewarding and less hard hence some fuzzy design choices ;)

Thanks all ! We'll try to adress the readability by maybe reversing the note line and timing by less aggressive level design. We were thinking of moving the car sieways as you hit one button or another and not just randomly, that would effectively enforce the two button need.

@Rodaja actually the punishment is loosing combo, hence loosing gun level hence lowering DPS but it's not obvious...^^
@RHY3756547 On my pc, it runs at steady 60fps but since it's in flash and in 72h i cannot do the mandatory optimisations that would fit every pc. The sould delay varies from PC to PC according to your sound system and cpu performances, we will definetely improve this over time.

Ahah I made a buggy game (dying right after spawn), so bit frustrated but very interesting entry.
Best entry so far, all 5. The game is a bit long and sometime injust with its checkpoints but it has wits and boy it is fun and refreshing. Best game of LD34 for me.

Nice game, I wish I could collect the guns by touching them. The growth of bullets is well made, and turn your game into a manic shooter really fast. I had a hard time controlling the ship because my keyboard is azerty, you should bind the controls with arrow key also.

The game is fun, the gameplay is simple but solid. Unfortunatly, the graphics are confusing, the mix of different resolutions, the bright yellow on the background, the blue foes, the zoom-out during the game... It really lacks readibility. I think you have to work your layers to improve the depht of field and stay with one resolution for all the game.

I love the idea, there are some key feedbacks missing ( monthly fee missed, greyed knight button rather than popping button ). Really Liked the voiceover, it gives a nice depth and gives a huge mood boost. Graphics couls also be more readable over a less bright/uniform bg.
Just a hint learned from deepnight, pay more attention to cognitive feedbacks and you'll improve vastly!
