LD24 — Evolution

Species X by pfirsich 2012-08-27T01:04:00

Apparently you can't pick up the 7th memo (piece of paper inside a box). If you do, the game crashes. So don't pick it up please :D A new binary follows immediately.

Species X by pfirsich 2012-08-27T01:22:00

I don't know if it's possible to delete my comment, but the non-buggy version is up now.

Species X by pfirsich 2012-08-27T09:46:00

Aaaand I forgot to replace the Debug-Output of this memo at the beginning of the game with the readme. I'll fix this (I hope that's okay)

LD25 — You are the Villain

Executive Zombie by TheH 2012-12-17T03:20:00

This is what I wish I would have come up with and I wish I would be able to execute! (my game is similar) Well done!

Bloody Ninja Spider by Alink 2012-12-19T20:34:00

This game is absolutle amazing! I love it. It's more fun than almost all the other games I've played yet. I'm not sure who much exactly it has to do with "You are the villain", but I'm completely okay with this (hence the already mentioned awesomeness).

Virus Infestation by Zathalos 2012-12-17T03:22:00

This is one of the coolest LD25 games I've played yet! I wish it would have lasted longer (I wouldn't have stopped then). Very good work!

Black Was Sad by eventhandler 2012-12-17T14:24:00

This is a really cool idea! But I'm of the impression that I can't really shot the colors into the directions I want to. Also, to be honest, I have no clue how this actually works and it's really hard for me to make progress.

We Meet Again, Mr. Mond! by Luis Anton 2012-12-21T19:55:00

A very cool idea! Though it doesn't have much replay value.

The Maze Heist by Huskitch 2012-12-21T16:40:00

Unfortunately I can't run it. "LDHoarde.exe encountered a problem and must close" (It's actually german, so I don't know how exactly it is in english) upon double-click.

Rogue Thief Stealer Person by Lasty 2012-12-19T19:36:00

I'm a little motion sick and the camera ist really hard to cope with. Also really not much gameplay-wise. The graphics are nice though!

Green Grump by nickusername1 2012-12-21T22:44:00

Really nice graphics. It's a bit unfinished, but definitely not a bad foundation! Falling should feel a bit more natural (accelerated) and starting the level off with probably the hardest jumps of all is not very motivating.

Kill'im by syawqy 2012-12-17T14:06:00

Yeah. Maybe to lost the view for the difficulty by playing it too much. Apart from this it's really great!

the Visitor by avaki 2012-12-21T16:37:00

Excellent! Not much to say. It's just a bit hard though (or maybe I'm just bad at it).

Little Death Adventure by blackmagic 2012-12-17T03:17:00

Very well done and actually quite enjoyable, but quite short (sadly) and it lacks a bit of variety.

Crunch Crunch Boom by Sigrath 2012-12-17T04:00:00

This game is very addictive! (though it takes a little while to get started). Also the theme also fits rather remotely. Good work!

Kill a Citizen by John 2012-12-21T15:50:00

I really like textmode stuff! And actually this is quite interesting and fun. It's just a bit short.

Silent night by krutech 2012-12-22T15:25:00

I have a few problems with alpha blending (everything that should be transparent is pink). Nonetheless the idea is very cool and it's fun!

Obliterate the City by Clavus 2012-12-17T14:01:00

This game is really great! It's highly additive and all in all very well executed. The "reasons" to obliterate are really cool too! Apparently the character "0" looks like an "8". Also I very often click out of the window and the window looses focus (an automatic pause function would be good or fullscreen or using the last point the mouse was "seen")

Cursed by Wet Heads 2012-12-21T16:19:00

As the guys before me: The idea is really cool! It's just a bit too hard though. I don't seem to progress very far and I struggle a lot with getting as far as I get now. Maybe you could make a little youtube-tutorial or something? (So you won't have to change the game)

The Plague by Joozey 2012-12-21T16:50:00

I didn't get how to get minions either. Or when exactly I can claim areas and when I can't. Otherwise: very cool.

Villain's base management by har_g 2012-12-17T14:17:00

This is an interesting perspective! But how can you continue if you don't have any money left?

Grinched by evdude 2012-12-21T22:23:00

You should have a look at py2exe - http://www.py2exe.org/

The Quite Annoying League by Pierrec 2012-12-21T23:26:00

Perfect.

Cube Infection by noKid 2012-12-17T21:48:00

Even though it took me quite a while to figure out what I have to too, this game ist actually quite a bit of fun! It's a pain in the a** though to make sure you draw perfectly(!) horizontal or vertical lines.

Crime Scene by saulotti 2012-12-17T15:51:00

This is really, really cool! Very good work!

Crime Scene by saulotti 2012-12-17T21:26:00

This is really, really cool! Very good work!

Kill? by feili 2012-12-19T20:13:00

Nice graphics.

Instance by celiacjoe 2012-12-17T03:51:00

Very, very cool! The text is hard to see sometimes though.

Event Horizon by SelectricSimian 2012-12-17T03:35:00

This is absolutely great. This is why I participate in this.

Goat Factory by nilstastic 2012-12-21T22:20:00

A really nice progression (and a continous introduction of concepts/the game mechanic). It's just a bit annoying that you have to replace all your objects again if something didn't fit right.

Monologuer by Devenger 2012-12-21T22:32:00

A way to get more money would be cool. Also talking to the green guy doesn't seem very rewarding. I'd rather crush more incoming yellow guys to be honest.

Exterminate! by Frib 2012-12-22T15:01:00

I can't start it unfortunately. - "Exterminate.exe encountered a problem and must close."

Exterminate! by Frib 2012-12-22T15:20:00

Yup. Had to install XNA Redistributable Framework first.
Kind of reminds me of Portal. Really nicely done and could be very cool if you spent more time on it.

Blob Revolution by kill0u 2012-12-19T20:23:00

I'm just too dumb for this. I don't think I'm capable of mastering the first level.

Evil Chopper by Per 2012-12-21T22:54:00

Super duper great! I love this style of game. (R-Typey + Starfoxey stuff) Plus it's one of the few games with 3D without using Unity! Props for this (and for implementing shadow mapping!) The upgrading-feature makes the game even more fun. Maybe automatically generated levels would be a cool thing, so I wouldn't have to stop ;) (Especially since they aren't to complex and look like super-appropriate places for procedural levels)

Mr Pickpocket by Waynetron 2012-12-21T16:11:00

The game mechanic is really cool! It's a lot of fun, though after a while I just wait for me to screw up because it get's a little boring.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Monster Standoff by ShellfishGames 2015-08-24T10:27:00

For a 4 hour game this is really cool! It's a very simple principle but it was quite fun for at least 20 rounds. Very neat!

LD37 — One room

Cyborg Ninja Training Room by MrErdalUral 2016-12-13T14:53:00

Some enemy bullets are a little too fast, so the ideal tactic is "always move", while you can not circle every enemy at the same time. I think I would have preferred it if you could actually dodge the bullets.

Khaos Arena by TheFlyingSatan 2016-12-13T15:21:00

Really liked the game, though it might be a little to easy. I also died two times due to horned beasts spawning inside of me. Also the normal beasts move while I'm choosing a powerup sometimes.

Don't Stop You! by Kevin_B 2016-12-16T20:17:00

Really nice for your first game! I like the idea. It's not too out there, but still non-trivial enough to be interesting. The controls are a little floaty though.

The legend of the cheese by TubbyS 2016-12-16T20:19:00

I for one like the art style. But I don't really like the frequent leaps of faith and I think the sounds are not very well "mixed". Some seem louder than they should be/than the others.

Childroom by nataha 2016-12-13T14:42:00

The assets having different resolutions is a little strange and I had trouble finding out how I could (not at all?) interact with the bats. Also it would be nice to know which platforms will disappear, before you step on them and lose life.

Room of Chaos and Creation by fivecyclops 2016-12-16T20:28:00

A shame that the jam version is a little buggy (no sounds for me). I don't even want to say what this game reminded me of to not spoil anyone yet to play it, but it's really nice! Could have been super nice, if you managed your time to fix some bugs before the deadline :D

A Ghost in Time by arzi 2016-12-13T15:10:00

I think I would have preferred a more conventional first person control scheme. I had to start at the edge of the screen again two times to turn 90 degrees.

Twelve Days of Murder! by Capitals 2016-12-16T20:55:00

Sometimes text can be hidden behind GUI elements, but otherwise this is a really nice entry! I love the idea!

Xenopunch by Pietro Ferrantelli 2016-12-16T21:07:00

A very nice game, almost full score. But I'm too stupid to beat the first boss (the twins).

ASTRI by pianoman373 2016-12-13T14:57:00

Is there a reason why you didn't want the blocks to stay locked in their place? The controls seem not precise enough to punish people for touching an already properly placed block again. Also in the second room the red and green block swapped places a few times and ended up inside each other.

Orb Room by ZpeedTube 2016-12-13T15:03:00

I really like the first person platformers, but I think I'm to stupid to figure out the laval level

cubica woo by image/31 2016-12-16T20:49:00

I think I don't understand what's happening on the screen, what the score means, what the goal is. I'm generally clueless.

Alone In Space by Mango Malarkey 2016-12-16T20:44:00

I think this is a really cool and surprisingly deep game. It's obvious that it's a lot of work already, but the first thing it would have needed is probably more feedback especially for fights. And it seems the fights are very hard unless you find a trick that works pretty much every time, which makes them boring. It would also be nice to know how much fuel a certain travel will cost etc. Nice work!

R00M by OuichesDoctor 2016-12-13T14:45:00

The bullets are way too slow to properly hit something (especially moving targets). And it's hard to get a feel for the location of the bullets, because there is not feedback for impact or shadows or something else that aids in depth perception. The mouse look feels very floaty. Are you smoothing it?
