Absolutely loved the idea, had me chuckling all the way through. The level design was great; a lot of these games don't introduce the gameplay as well as this. Was totally ready to spend half an hour playing through the rest of levels, but I can't blame you for running out of time.
Nice one =D
Nice one =)
(You might like to try using some css to prevent the mouse selecting elements on the page):
*{-webkit-touch-callout: none; -webkit-user-select: none; -khtml-user-select: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; user-select: none;}
Fantastic! I'll have to look in to adding sound to my future html games.
Fun to play, enjoyed the graphics, and the novel aiming. Nice one!
Found the red spiral level too difficult to complete after several attempts, but a great challenge and delightful mechanic.
Big props for experimenting with websockets. The thought crossed my mind when I was coming up with ideas, but I didn't have the guts to go with it.
Great stuff, very innovative =D
Loved the characters, very cute :) Control of the player was a big issue for me - felt very disconnected and unable to properly control the character. Would benefit greatly from mouse aiming.
Thanks everyone for your great feedback =) Thanks to you, there will be a version two, hopefully this weekend.
QQPP2 is up and running on http://dtownsend.co.uk/dev/qqpp2/
But please rate the original for Ludum Dare =)
Good fun. As others have pointed out it is a bit slow, but that's a restriction from having to move in the dark; any faster and it'd be too hard.
Props for coding from scratch, +1 for using the center tag! =D
Great fun! I'd never thought I'd see a shoot-em-up/scrabble crossover! I enjoyed the multitasking challenge, and having the option to just give up and shoot sh*t =D
Perfect for the theme. I think this is the only game I've played so far that has something to say beyond the game itself.
