Neat little demo, graphics are neat. Would be interesting to see how a more developed version looks!

The art is really pleasant! And the shooting mechanic could turn into something really interesting. The transitions between screens is really nice too! It's obvious that you put a lot of work into this, I hope you continue! It looks like it could be something really cool!
If you end up finishing the project, please let me know!
Cute game! I love the art. Hope to see more updates. :)
Nice shooting behaviour - but is it currently possible to kill a monster?
Unfortunately it crashed right away :(.
The error was: `abort(114). Build with -s ASSERTIONS=1 for more info.`
Hope it helps :hugging:
@netmute what browser and platform?
@paulhocker mac/safari
I like how the projectiles work but really need to have them interact with the enemies. The graphics are great, I like the slight perspective. It's a decent prototype, but more mechanics are needed to get a better idea of the game.
I like the shooting/projectiles. I think it's neat. This would be interesting to see fleshed out into a completed project.
Cool demo. I was did manage to break the camera when standing inbetween the screens and it was not able to recover after moving away and needed to refresh the page.
nice start, hopefully you get time to build on it!
Nice start, maybe considering working on some of the core mechanics first, thought the projectiles are really pretty it doesn't seem like they do much of anything and that means it's not really playable.
Definitely a cool prototype! The way the shooting mechanic looks is really satisfying. Keep working on it, and keep us updated!
There are some neat pieces here. I hope you revisit this at some point, there's a lot of potential that just needs a little more time to bake.
This has a nice game feel to it! Love the glyphs floating above the characters head. It's cute and would love to see more!
Good job on the camera transitions. I'm guessing you didn't get to implement interactions, but good effort!
I like the graphics and how smooth it plays. I couldn't figure out how to fight anything, though.
I adored the camerawork and art style - the animation of the globes is a great touch! I'm not sure if shooting is implemented yet since nothing really reacted to my shots, but this is an excellent start :D
This was really promising. Set a mood and had a strong story hook, and the enemies had a lot of personality. Great start, I hope you keep going with this.
The control is very smooth, nice shooting animation; art can be improved but the style is already looking good. Sadly it seems like there is not much to do yet in the current version, but I can definitely see potential in this prototype. Good job, and I look forward to your future update!
Great art :D
pretty nice and smooth gameplay, maybe the main character can be made larger since the body part is hard to notice because of the color of the pants and the grassland
So nice and smooth mechanic of shooting, and how the balls wander around you is so cool. Hope to see in what it will become!
The graphics are cool, and the shooting animation works really well. It would be great to see more to the game.
Shooting mechanic is very cool and I really liked the graphics!
I loved the art style. The movement, screen transition and animations are so smooth. I love it.
This game feels really good! It's a shame there isn't all that much to do but that's the reality of the time constraint! Hopefully you learned a thing or two to be able to get further next time.
I like the camera shifting system, reminds me of old Zelda games. What I would suggest though is that if you're going to have this system of "screens" then you probably shouldn't be able to walk off at ANY point. If you have borders then it makes each screen feel more hand crafted and intentional. As it currently is, the cut off points for each screen feel arbitrary, that you're on one big screen but it's only showing you a bit at a time.
If you wanna go with the screen system, I'd suggest making each one a bit more self contained, so that each one looks distinct. Check out The Legend of Zelda and how they funnel the player through one or two specific exit points. Together the areas can feel like a full world, but each individual one should have its own thing going for it, if that makes sense?

@joeshanahan thanks for the feedback -- the zelda feel was exactly what i was looking for -- i know what you mean about the borders and i agree with your suggestion -- i plan to revisit this again so appreciate your thoughts -- isnt the maze area in zelda a little more open tho? at least from what I remember -- thanks again
Really fun demo, I really like the art and idea behind it!! The demo doesn't work on Mac safari (abort(114). Build with -s ASSERTIONS=1 for more info.) but works fine on Chrome
@netmute @thebearcrab macOS export has been added to the downloads section on ITCH
Really polished art style and cool shooting concept :)
What can i do in this Game. i dont know it. Can you Explain what i have to do in this Game?
The artstyle here is really charming and everything runs so smoothly, especially the great zelda-like screen transitions. I'd definitely be interested in seeing this expanded on!
I like the idea with the nothing bubbles as weapons and it would really have been interesting to see how you were planning to have that work.
i like how how the "shooting" and "returning back" mechanics work. unfortunately there is not much more to do
small but nice demo just dont stop developing it and you will get something great^^
