Nice work overall! In the further development I really appreciate to use pixel fonts for the texts. And I really like web exports to play inmediately :)

+cool character sprite
+love that you focused on one single mechanic
-that said I would have liked you to test it out with someone and polish the movement a bit more so it feels cool to swing around.
All in all nice work!
You should fix movement, it feels hard to control and understand what to do. Overall, I liked an idea and graphics, cool project!
Lovely protagonist, the winter environment is also good. It feels a bit slow to move.
Nice job!
I like the idea, art is good. I think that it would benefit the game immensely to improve the rope physics.
@patsui @adil @grenk I had to remove some features to the grappling mechanic near the end because it was giving errors, I surely will look into fixing this after the jam, thanks for your feedback :)
@dyguests I agree that moving is slow, during the jam I was thinking if I should set better movement speed and jumps to make it feel more dynamic, thanks for your feedback :)
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
The visuals looked very good, but using rope feld clumsy
The rope feature seems a bit clunky. Also not understandable where the finish. Cute sprites :)
The rope click detection was a little dodgier than I would have liked, but the concept was good and otherwise well executed.
Aideia is very good, it would implement that when it enters the area other than ice skids, the controls are difficult to get used to, and one last thing in the itch, decrease the resolution of the game presentation, as it gets larger than the game area , but none of that gets in the way of the incredible experience of knowing your great idea, congratulations, a big hug!
A little jump could have helped to climb, especially if rope dies while climbing an edge. still good work!
@monninen @legolaz @budaniel I had to get rid of some features from the rope as I was running out of time and couldn't fix it, so the rope doesn't work as intended, I will try to fix it after the jam ends, thanks for your feedback!
@viktya I was tempted to add some kind of jump during the development, but I also thought that it would be too easy, it's a shame that I didn't get the hook thing to work as intended so it's a little rough to get past some areas. Thanks for your feedback!
I loved the original "Ice Climbers" on the NES as a kid! This is very cool homage to that. The addition of the grappling hook works well in this context. The controls were a bit harsh tho. I would have liked if the hook just went in the direction I clicked, without me having to click on an actual wall. Still a nice entry!
Love the concept. The controls are a little clunky. I kept trying to click a block on the edge of the play screen, and wound up clicking outside the screen instead, losing control. I think it'd be more intuitive if the player could click anywhere in-between themselves and the wall and have the rope extend until it finds a wall. you could find the attach point with raytraces. The music was good, graphics were great (especially the player character) and again, the game concept was great.
I like the game mechanic. As some people already mentioned, the controls feel a little bit stiff. Some more speed would be also good. I like the sprite of the main chracter. Reminds me of Ice Climbers :)
So, a few things: The movement is much too slow, and the rope mechanic is difficult to use for climbing vertically. Usually it just runs me into the wall, not high enough to reach a platform. Also, the music is not great. That being said, I like the character sprite and the feel of the environments, so good job there.
@shaolin-dave the hook thing used to work with raycasts but in the late developement it gave a lot of problems so I got rid of it because I didn't have time to fix it, I'm planning to redo the grappling after the jam ends ^^.
@lllarso @quinn-patrick I'm planning to improve the movement and give the player the ability to jump.
Thanks for your feedback! :D
I like the idea but, as others have mentioned already, the controls don't work very well. And having an ability to jump would be great! It feels somehow strange when you can't jump in this kind of game. Even if it's only for fun :). So, definitely the game needs some polish. But the potential is there!
There's no real connection to the theme of this jam, at least that I can see.
I like the graphics of our main hero, he looks cute is his winter cape!
@fabula-rasa The connection comes after. There are 3 main levels that you need to replay 3 times (each time is harder) each in order to get to the end of the game where everything is explained I understand that being so deep in the game could make some people lose it. Regarding the control issues as I said earlier, I'm planning to update the game to fix this after the voting period for the jam ends :) Thanks for your feedback!
@mumaitron Thank you for the explanation! Yeah, I think many people can miss the connection. I definitelly don't have skill enough to get to the end in this game. I will blame the wonky controls but it's probably just me
You know - if you get to fixing the controls during the jam, you could post an additional post-jam version as a downloadable on itch. Clearly mark it as post-jam and list the changes made. So people who are interested can try the improved version after they play 'n rate the jam one. Maybe in such a version I could actually reach the end (a girl can dream ;)) and see the loop explanation. Leave the html version as is, the original one, as obviously people should be playing that one for the purposes of rating. It's just a suggestion, of course.
Hi, congratulations on the game! As most people have said, I also quite miss the jumping feature, also it's not very obvious how long the rope is and some places I couldn't reattach.
The idea was a success, but I still don't understand how the game relates to the topic? In the walkthrough, I ran into difficulties, because the character simply did not want to cling to the walls if you click a little further than the edge.
@ninjacatz The connection with the topic comes after you play for a while you will start replaying some levels but with added difficulty until you reach the end where everything is explained, I know that with the current state of the game some players won't reach the point to notice this connection and, I apologize as my original idea for the grappling was to work without needing to click on the actual blocks just pointing to the direction where you wished to throw it, as always Jams require to solve this issues quickly but I ran out of time ;(. Thanks for your feedback.
@mumaitron Thank you for explanation. From my experience, I can say that coming up with some mechanics already during LD is not a good idea, since it takes a lot of time. At the final selection, I try to think about what a game can be made and how it should be played, and so on for each of the final themes. This greatly helps me and the people with whom I work to speed up the creation process, not to be distracted by inventing something, to meet the deadline. Of course, sometimes it turns out that at the initial stage a better idea comes up and you can still change part of the project, but after the second day of development we try to finish the project with those mechanics that we came up with earlier.
Its a gread idea, i think its a little to difficult haha, but i enjoyed
Cool little guy reminds me of ice climber. I think it could benefit from a ledge grab as I found it quite hard to climb the platforms. I like the look and the idea
@fabula-rasa made a downloadable version on my itch.io page trying to give a better movement to the player ^^ check it if you want :D
