Awesome as usual mate :) Great visuals, great music, and shooting is so satisfying. I loved the very wide ratio, felt just like John Wick.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD41 → Nightclub Showdown

Very cool idea dude. And loved the execution!
Favorite game so far.
As usual, very neat game. Music is simple, but yet awesome. The same goes for graphics and animation, I'm a huge fan. The gameplay works well, but I found it hard to understand what is turn based and what is real time exactly. Everything happens so fast !
Fast paced, lot of quick tactical options too! Got to wave 7 before it all went wrong :D
Awesome game as always =D Couldn't get past the level where all box explodent though... but I had fun trying again and again anyway!
It's really addictive. I kept dying in wave 6 but I restarted so many time to at least reach wave 7. Super well done.
Very nice. I liked the moment when there's no crates and you can figure out how to get out of the scenario since it's turned based. It feels like fast paced decision making. great job!
Overall I very much enjoyed this! Nice take on the theme and fantastic visuals. Great work!
Du très haut niveau !
Probably the best game I ever play in this ludum ( except mine). awesome music , graphics and gameplay. if i can suggest an improvement, maybe turns could be based on the rythm( like in crypt of the necrodancer)
Feels like john wick ^^
Wow this is my favourite game by now. The graphics, the mood, the game. Everything well done.
This is gold ^^ I loved it !
A really cool execution of the idea. It kinda felt like a neon cyberpunk Flashback, visually. Nice details in throwing away the empty clips.
I would have liked a gun-is-empty audio cue, as that's where I kept messing up. The time slow-down and resuming of action also could have benefited from audio cues as well.
Really good balance of body and headshots, I didn't expect the difference to matter that much. Crates were also interesting from the beginning but introducing grenades made them really cool. The slowmo worked super well with the bloody pixel explosions. Graphics are sweet but I wish the foreground and background were better integrated instead of 2 clearly separate things. The driving deep beat of the music was super cool, but I think the main melody sounded a bit too "default instrument" and out of place. There was a point in wave 7 or something where all the boxes just exploded when they came down so I couldn't last much more than that :/
Really well done, hat down. Love the art, the effects, the music. simple but effective gameplay, nice job sir !
Really enjoyed playing this, the core mechanics were solid. I felt like I could have done with some more feedback on the enemy turns. The grenade enemy was a nice touch to force me out of cover. Very clever game and well made. Congrats!
Check out and rate my team's game if you get the chance  https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/check-please
Very polished. Loved the graphics and the overall vibe. Having this incorperated in a fleshed out game with more gameplay elements would be excellent
Very stylish, the art was well done, reminded me a bit of the old another world and flashback game. The turn based game play was fun, although the choices are a bit limited. Slowdown was also very cool. Only criticism is just the endless wave based restart from the beginning again genre always feels a bit unsatisfying to me. For the time though you can't ask too much. At the beginning I thought maybe I would need to advance to the end of the level or something, which would maybe have been cool. Great job
Good and fun game, fast and easy to play but difficult to master xD and I like that. Loved the pixel art, the music is a bit repeitive but it fits. Awesome work!
Have played several real time turn based games this LD, but this one really nailed it! The game is really fun to play! Well done!
very neat music.
This was SO well made! I really really enjoyed this, its so polished in fun! Well done!
Always a pleasure getting to try your works. No complaints here; this was awesome.
This combination of genres lets players enhance their tactical thinking as opposed to mindless running and gunning.
pretty hard but good one :) nice concept!
Really difficult, but very good
Whoa! Like it much. I'm working on a little similar gameplay in my game https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/sword-step but to be honest yours execution is much better as for me.
One of my favourites entry this ld. I manage to go to wave 7, had a lot of fun!
Brilliant way of bringing in the chaos of John Wick into an understandable setting. Capping knees to disable people while handling the rest of the scene is straight out of the movies. A bit like SuperHot but better theming, awesome work.
Brilliant again! Well done. My only minor quibble is not being able to detect when the turns would advance. Either it was too subtle to notice, or I was too focused to care. :) Great stuff.
Hi @deepnight. This game is difficult but I am determined to beat it. When I played the game the first time a week ago I got stuck on level 7. All the cover is destroyed! I noticed you drew inspiration from the john wick movie so I went and watched the movie. Seeing as you had the two mechanics of body shots and headshots and john using his first shots to stun I used a body shot heavy strategy. That works well but I'm still overrun with grenadiers. I still plan on beating the game. :) Anyways.. Excellent game as most of your entries are.
After receiving feedback on my last ludum dare I decided on using a framework that built to html5. Last year I played around with superpowers. http://superpowers-html5.com I made two small games in preparation for the ludum dare this time last year but didn't have the time. I compared superpowers with haxe and found it easier to develop in initially. Especially for my teammates who aren't coders. This year I decided to revisit haxe and came across your games. Using some of the haxe-flixel demos, I was able to get up to speed with using the language quickly. I wanted to use the source for your games as a learning tool as well but I wasn't able to compile any of the project due to missing libraries. I'd like to use haxe for future ludum dares as it fits my use case in almost every category and is wicked fast! My next goal is to take a look at heaps. Would you mind including those libraries in your source projects and/or help me understand what I've done wrong to compile your projects? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
ps. Check out the game we made in haxe+flixel! This is our second LD and first for two of our members. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/dinerbash-1
Hi @deepnight I played your game and it's awesomely good ;) solid entry here but I am sure that someone above me already said that ^^
