LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

become a game developer in 60 seconds by unprompted 2015-12-14T07:24:00

I wish I had more than 60 seconds to actually try and create something as it took me that long to figure out what was going on. But You get full marks for innovation

Planty Gauntlet by ShadowBrain 2015-12-14T21:13:00

Idea is solid but could do with the option of having more men. Fell out of game world by the swinging axes.

LOW MEM by GagaPete 2015-12-14T21:32:00

I really liked it. First few levels were a push obviously but then you did bring in one or two that required thinking. Such a shame you didn't add more as there is a good puzzle concept here.

Semi-Industrial Witchcraft by f7f5 2015-12-21T21:04:00

I enjoyed that very much. It was very challenging having to keep an eye on the bottles, the ingredients and the balance all at the same time. It could easily become frustrating but you made it fun.

Disassemble by Tommislav 2015-12-14T22:45:00

Really cool. Love the idea and the implememntation, wish it had some sound though.

Dynamica by CivvyThePandaTM 2015-12-14T21:26:00

I give you full points for innovation and using different space objects to have varying gravitational effects. Sadly though it feels exhausting at times as you try for the dozenth time to get the planet into the pixel perfect spot it needs to be.

Celebration Of Jand by Dooskington 2015-12-14T20:55:00

Overall I do like this game, but I wish there was an endgame. To finish it all I did was mine enough resources and sacrificed al 51 peons at once. All that happened was I got 99 more peons.

Floppy Frog by walaber 2015-12-14T23:16:00

The best kind of annoying. When I finally figured out how to slowly crawl across the flat platform on the first level, and then saw the ramp on the second I just stopped then.

Creative Life by sharp911 2015-12-14T21:38:00

I think I know what you were going for, I just can't see the game aspect of it.

Bean up by Viza 2015-12-14T22:51:00

I liked it. The slight movements of the plant did make the game feel different from other similar ones I've played here today.

A Mold's Life by vrld 2015-12-14T20:33:00

I do wish the game ran faster, or if maybe there was a speed up option. Plus I gave up when the opposing mould appeared. At first I thought it was just who got the most but then I realised you could destroy them and waited for at least 5 minutes for this one little patch to just die but it wouldn't.

Grow Stuff by kitcar2000 2015-12-21T20:57:00

I really liked this run. A fun puzzle platformer. Only thing I would change is the size, seems strangely long distances you have to walk or jump sometimes. That aside, great job.

Aggravation Cubes by Keith Stellyes 2015-12-14T08:20:00

I couldn't get to the end but I want to know whats there!! Good job.

A Growing Prince by Sandcrawler 2015-12-22T21:56:00

I would of liked more variation. Having consequences to attacking something when you are not a high enough level and perhaps having attacking things gain you more levels than consuming things. There is no challenge or thought required to play it. If you want to do something similar again I recommend you check out some text adventure games.

Eva Ness goes to Hell by GeeItSomeLaldy 2015-12-14T21:48:00

There are so many things wrong with this game, but I think thats why I love it.

OH GOD NO by shcromlet 2015-12-15T21:31:00

The bullets were such a nightmare and the hand coming down blocking the screen was annoying. I appreciate your innovation though, spinning the two button control theme.

AsteroidRage by Six9ty 2015-12-14T22:08:00

I appreciate having the fire button tied to the movement controls, I don't like it when a game which requires you to fire constantly has you needing to push a button to do so.

Cactus Simulator by Jeroen Kappé 2015-12-14T21:51:00

Played it on my Macbook and clicking the two boxes was annoying, wish I could just use arrow keys. Also felt like I would get to a point where it would be impossible not to get hit by water. I like the look though.

Vampires suck! by chriiis88 2015-12-14T23:20:00

A little short and simple but a good idea and fun non the less.

Survive 120 by flakoflak 2015-12-14T21:36:00

Couldn't get it to go either. Downloaded whole thing and extracted them but when I could clicked the index file nothing opened. I am on a Mac though, does that matter?

LD35 — Shapeshift

Element Smash by midgard 2016-04-29T16:59:00

Love it. Obviously would like to see more depth in the attacks you can do and the stage you fight on, but a great idea. I like the short rounds and the constant changing.

Look at your Feet by Verz 2016-04-19T12:02:00

Really cool. Is it possible to finish?

Look at your Feet by Verz 2016-04-19T12:03:00

And where can I get that song?

Blobs by Liam :D 2016-05-04T11:56:00

Would of liked a couple more levels cause I liked the mechanic and could see it going places.

Trinity - Descent to Ascend by Khaldrin 2016-04-18T16:06:00

Fair idea but just not really fun to play. I went into the fire level first and started taking down enemies and exploring, but there is nothing to explore. Plus the enemies are no threat at all. I just sat there and one walked at me and nothing happened. Plus the idea of getting to 10000 feels obnoxious. More interesting enemies, a genuine threat and an achievable goal would really help it.

Sideshift by Gyt 2016-05-08T08:28:00

I really liked it. Very creative and not something I think I've seen before. Would prefer it more if it had a smoother difficulty progression and every level was solvable. But that would of required more time. Good going.

Disciple by Japes 2016-04-29T17:06:00

The idea is interesting and I can see the challenge of having to switch shapes and press the correct command key, kinda like patting your head and rubbing your belly. But I found the timing really frustrating. You have to be super precise on deflecting those balls, it could do with a bigger hit box. Also that music is seriously unpleasant, would of been better without it.

The Magnificent Lepus by bradur 2016-04-18T15:33:00

Did the S do anything? Anyway, I liked it. took a few levels to truly get to grips with each ability, but it was fun. Good job and good puzzles :)

Shift & Persist by hazzahazzam 2016-05-08T08:37:00

I found the controls really frustrating. The jumping and dashing in particular really made the game unnecessarily difficult. Some decent ideas though.

Walking Simulator by Arskiainen 2016-04-19T11:24:00

Rather have jump mapped to up rather than space, using both hands to walk make it easier to play. And could of done with some obstacles or a challenges, the only thing that made it difficult was the pain I felt in my fingers. Good humour though, I did like it.

Stellar Pendulum by dwhiffing 2016-04-18T16:10:00

Cool game. Fun and innovative. Good job :)

Tile Snake by ORECROS 2016-04-19T11:37:00

Really clever idea. Well done. You could of done with a tutorial though

BirdBoy by Nintendo_obsessed (Obsessive Studios) 2016-04-18T15:48:00

A couple of programming bugs which made it awkward at times, but I do like the idea. Wish you took more advantage of it though and perhaps gave the boy an ability over the bird.
As a note, when exporting with GameMaker, if it is a small game like this just make it an standalone executable rather than an NSIS installer.

SImple Shift by CasualCat 2016-04-18T15:52:00

Cool puzzle game. Only thing that frustrated me was I felt W/S and A/D should be reversed for the stretching. Might just be me though. But I like the idea and this could make a good addictive mobile game.

Shapeshift by coldman 2016-04-18T15:36:00

Looks interesting.
