The sprites and the animation are adoraballs. I love the mechanic of planting your own enemy spawners and "farming" them. +1 for the smart pun in the title.

The thumbnail fooled me, it looked like a kanban board. :)
It is a solid game, especially considering that it was your first time writing music and shaders.
The graphics drew me in. I imagine that the phone was deliberate choice instead of putting the score on a HUD and it makes perefect sense. But some "juice" would make it more exciting and easier to follow.
I fumbled around with the UI like an idiot at first, but got addicted to it quickly. :O
Love the concept and the execution as well. The sound and music sell it for me.
The art style is gorgeous and the divided screen hybrid game mechanic is a great concept. I had to read the hints to realise I can drag the camera with the middle mouse button, but everything else was intuitive.
Frantic game. I had 'jump' on my clipboard and still got eaten. :)
I jumped into it before reading the tutorial carefully, so I didn't know that I had to restart the level after I ran out of possible actions. I love the neon pixel art of it. <3
Good idea for a mashup, and - more importantly - great execution.
A lot of entries used card mechanics, but this one complements the core game mechanics well.
@shess > In a couple of cases the timer went into negative values, though.
Well, that is definitely not a feature. :)
> So maybe you can include a slight delay...
Thanks, I will give it a try. I have played trough it so many times and I cheese the battles myself, so this is a problem I have to solve.
I am such a typical user. I jump into games without reading the instructions first. I was confused about speed changes ending my turns.
