I like the concept, but I'm afraid I can't seem to get anything to work right. I've tried cutting down trees and mining rocks, but it seems like neither works: the character starts the attack animation, and then won't stop and won't eat.
If these are simply bugs, and you have time to fix them, I would be happy to try playing again.
I can give one other piece of feedback: it's really hard to do anything when you have to memorize six keyboard controls. At the very least for the crafting part, a graphical interface would be much nicer.

I like the idea of survival + racing, but to be honest I'm not really sure were the racing comes into play here besides the starting line and timer. Also, I echo @TheMonsterFromTheDeep 's notes on pretty much all accounts.

Thanks for the feedback!
Whaa- its really bugged! ;=;
Couldn't fix it in time.. actually i made it in less than a day due to other compromises.
Gonna fix it soon!

@TheMonsterFromTheDeep Fixed! It was a silly mistake i made just before uploading the game. Didn't had the time to test properly. **NEVER** upload things without testing.
@ZaneDD There is a finish line :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
I will be very thankful if you guys try it again now it's working :)
This is a very good concept but the problem is that the map is too short so the "survival" part doesn't come into play as much as it could be. Enemies get to finish line in about 70 seconds, that didn't give me enough time for "survival-sandbox" experience. I've tried getting resources first, then tried to overtake the enemies; went forward without crafting anything; and the best for me was crafting a pickaxe and racing for the spot where you can break two rocks and cut significant distance.
I had fun though just exploring the map and seeing capabilities of your game:) This is a great idea and game nonetheless, just requires more balance, I'm glad I had the experience!

Interesting game mechanics, well done! Unfortunately, I didn't have an opportunity to play with crafting part of the game much, because enemies get to the finish too fast. Building a boat doesn't help in this case

@kpded @MaximBegunov Thanks! Actually, collecting wood for the boat with an axe and building the boat will make you go way faster than the bots haha
unfortunately i couldn't improve their AI in time, so they just go straight to the end. But, in the middle of the water, they lose all of the HP, making them **very** slow.
Going the "boat way" i could finish in 46 sec!
@Aszu : I did briefly try playing again. I found that it takes really really long to harvest any resources, which I'm guessing means that by the time you build a boat, or anything really, the enemies have gotten far enough ahead that you can't really beat them.
I still do really like the concept though - it adds an extra tradeoff to the race, where you can spend your time either on getting closer to the finish line or on attempting to improve your "speed," so to speak.

I like it
Really fun to play, great use of the theme. Like the others, I did find, though, that having a good route was of more value than stopping to craft. After a couple of playthroughs, I found that I could win simply by pathing better than the AI, which removed a lot of motivation to craft. Overall, great job!
Congrats to your first LD entry! That's a sweet little game, although I had a lot of problems remembering the controls. Well done!

I like the idea of this game, but it needs a lot of balancing to make it work. Food and health went down really quickly and it's difficult to remember so many controls at once (Recommend displaying them in the corner of the screen for example). Also eating food to stay healthy for the speed doesn't really benefit you that much as eating seems to take almost as long as finishing the race without eating. Good job tho, think it'll be really fun to play if crafting elements are forced on the players as well :)

Thanks for the feedback, guys!
I wanted to balance it more, but had no time haha
glad you liked it!
Wow, such a cool idea, but I wish the controls were a little easier to understand.
I also agree with @Smiling Cat Entertainment but I understand how little time there is so balance things like that.
The music is really nice too, which really adds to the expirience!
Awesome job!
Love the concept and had fun racing the other guys, but eating didn't seem to help, in fact it slowed me down, plus I couldn't get the building to work. Aside from that, great job! I haven't seen too many Godot made entries yet either, this is one of the few. Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare, especially made in less than 24 hours!! :)

Thanx @joe40001! Its nice to actually see how others played the game. I wanted to make things more graphical (specially in building) and AI more focused on survival, but my available time was very short.
Thank you everyone for the feedback :)
