So this is clearly the best game I've played so far, not even close.

I did have to skip two levels (that second screenshot level...) and then manually skipped a few at the end just to see the ending, but will be coming back to play them later. This game is good. More levels and you have a Steam release!

Not sure what the theme fits in with this one -- I'm guessing something in the ending, but I kept getting enemies spawning in impossible positions (tree + flying fish) so I couldn't get there. :(

This is a very difficult game.

I'll admit, I first shot the red things and died... then shot the green things and died from the rogue cell. THEN I shot the rogue cell -- and died. Then i shot its exploded pieces. >_>

I feel like enemies should have attacked with Blue or Green attacks so that way they would damage different ways. I had a bit of trouble kmnowing when I could or couldn't attack/take damage since the damage was done in chunks, but if you had more time and could Lerp the values it'd probably add a lot to the player "sense" of their standing.

I like the general style, and am fine with the stats being something you "figure out", but didn't like that my choices didn't really seem to matter -- killing enemies or not was my choice unless the map randomly decided it wasn't and chests were random therefore whether I lived or not wasn't my choice. Art and atmosphere was good though.

I think the idea of lowered FoV has a lot of promise for something like this -- keep tinkering with the idea. Maybe give the player bad dots they want to avoid, or a timer where they have to eat yellow dots to increase the timer, etc.

I feel this game is close to being a lot more enjoyable -- the second stage was REALLY big but there wasn't any extra threats compared to the first despite it taking like 6x longer. Maybe giving the player a health bar that drains CONSTANTLY, but drains extra fast when on the "red" spaces would help give it more urgency.

For those having issues -- spacebar and rocket both work fine! You have to jump first and THEN fire. If you fire first, you bounce before you jump and then don't get the jump + rocket boost together.

I had a lot of trouble with the level with the see through platforms x_x

@Aerynus Agreed -- I wanted to make it easier to line stuff up, but when the collider was bigger I ran into weird issues where you'd be touching two colliders at once (e.g., grass + tree) and you couldn't tell what you were targeting.

If I had more time I would have probably made it grid-based movement to make it easier to line stuff up!

@Lyrcaxis Agreed! My original plan was to replace movement with a tile-based system for the player (which would remove all the issues) but I only had about 24 hours in total to work on this game. I probably should have anticipated this and made a priority system that weighs tags or proximity for sure. :D

@CalebLewis Thanks! I started off building this with the idea that the farming sim genre was basically built around inconvenience. You have a simple problem with a simple solution (e.g., bone needs water, water the bone) but a series of inconveniences make it interesting to juggle (water runs out, water is far away, water runs out after 4 uses but the most seeds in one area is 3, zombies exploding in the meantime while you also need to build barricades and repair and also need to shovel to get more bones to water...).

You did not need the axe to plant bones, but the picking up items and having to go swap them out with others was intentional as a design choice. Forcing the player to complete a task, go back to get the next tool, repeat.

@hiki911 its a trigger set inside it -- unfortunately I didn't have enough time to quality test it as much as I'd like, so if the square isn't on the object itself it won't work properly. Stuff like buildings and trees are easy to target, but it can be difficult with the tools (which is important!).

If I had more time I would have fine tuned it or made the logic grid-based, but I only had 24 hours to make this :(
