Great job :) Like you said it's not really finished and missing some possibility of failure but it's a good start :)
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD40 → Red eats Yellow!

Nice little game. The camera zoom was unspected! :D
I couldn't get over 35 points :(
I wanted to, but couldn't quite make it.
I think the idea of lowered FoV has a lot of promise for something like this -- keep tinkering with the idea. Maybe give the player bad dots they want to avoid, or a timer where they have to eat yellow dots to increase the timer, etc.
Nice job. I don't find any motivation when playing, but a good game overall!
Great idea, but the player moves a bit too slow I think
The gradual camera zoom is very cool. It was a while before I noticed it happening, and I like how it snuck up on me.
I ran it in Chrome, and did have some performance issues, it was quite framey. I'm not sure if that's just me on this laptop, or if you have some optimizing to do.
Cool! Some suggestions: speed up the lil red dude, make him slide a bit when you stop moving him and have a little bounce when you git a wall.
I think it's an interesting concept, since the longer you take to get through the maze makes it harder to evaluate what path to take.
It could have had an occasional blue dot that would set the zoom level back some. Right now, finding the stairs is basically 100% luck instead of like 50% luck or something, if that makes sense. Like, even if you don't ever hit a dead end you could still not find the stairs before game over on the first map. I did find it a couple of times though.
The walls should have been a different color or shade of grey than the floor. It makes it harder to recognize the difference between walls and the floor when you try to think fast.
I found the stairs!
I think the ball should be faster. And the camera should only zoom when you collect points. I liked the wall graphics. The camera zoom thing is an interesting mechanic to be sure!
I like it! And congrats on the first submission, by the way! The concept is somewhat similar to the one in my game, so you may enjoy that as well. I didn't see any stairs before I got biggen'd to death, but keep pushing this concept because it's a fun idea!
The camara zoom is quite interesting.I think this is a very good start.
Nice participation, it quickly become very difficult ^^
Great concept, the dread as the dots kept beeping and the camera zoomed filled me with dread. Maybe too difficult on RNG, would be nice to have more time to explore the level a little.
Neat game, though I was a little bit confused by the mechanics. Did the yellow dots slow you down? Or was that just something it felt like was happening as a result of the zoom? I wasn't able to find the stairs anywhere (though my high score was 33). Overall, cool game and interesting concept!
Interesting take on the theme. Using the FoV as your enemy is something I've never considered before. I'm going to have to explore that idea in one of my future games :) It would have been nice if there was a way to bump the camera back out by collecting something like pacman power pellet scattered around the maze
Nice concept, got 31
I like the concept overall, but it needed a bit of playtesting I think. It seems like the player slows down the more dots you get, which is slightly aggravating with how slow the player moves to begin with.
Making the levels larger and the character move faster would have made the play more entertaining I think.
What even happened to the camera?
Cool concept! Really simple but fun gameplay. There's something vaguely unsettling about the slow zooming of the camera (I have no idea why).
