So polished! All the little transitions etc are great! This is also totally playable, and honestly pretty fun.
Liked the artwork, and the audio was also really good. Music would really have set if off, though!
I feel like the theme could perhaps have been emphasized a bit more.

Excellent game! Loved the bullet hell experience, very well polished, you should make more of it! (also, bouncy arrows + rifle ftw)
Well done!
Great fun, didn't feel like an innovation on the bullet hell shooter, but definitely makes a solid concept. Collecting the blue souls was satisfying especially with those great sound effects! Would be fun to play around with some alternative mechanics and tools. Had fun beating it, and would like to see more!

Very well done!! Gameplay was good, the juice for all the impact effects really works, the arenas aren't too small or long, upgrade choices were interesting
A very polished experience. Very Gauntlet-esque. Amazing that you pulled this off in the Compo timeframe by yourself!

Hey! A really nice game you got here. All the graphics are really good in my opinion, and animations and even a very nice sfx! Feels just really satisfying. Congrats on making such a solid game!

I'm a bit picky with the entries, but this one is an exceptional one!
- Both the **visuals** and the **sounds effects** are very **"rewarding"**, so much fun to collect souls, shoot arrows, etc (and the impact effect is great).
- **Nice upgrade system**, it was very enjoyable to shoot aimlessly bouncy multi-arrows in the enemy's direction. And **responsive controls**.
- It took me a while to realise that **charging my arrows** didn't make them stronger xd (or it's just really uneffective compared to spamming it) I would happily have a chargeable arrow besides my multi-arrows, so I could be more effective at single target situations)
- Fun little mechanic that you have to balance **farming little minions for health**, and **killing the bigger monsters**. Is my assumption wrong that if I don't kill the bigger monsters in the room first, the little ones keep spawning endlessly?
**Great entry! **
Off topic: The main menu music mesmerized me, and couldn't remember what song it reminded me. Then I found it: it's like a mix of some greek folk music and Bobby Vinton's Mr. Lonely.
Reminds me Gauntlet! nice game

Thanks everyone! Glad you enjoyed the game.
@tudvari , thanks for the nice feedback. Your assumption about spawning is almost correct. It's a bit complicated because there are multiple end-conditions for each level, but the result is something like you described. Also, I'm really glad you liked the music! I just got into music and playing ukulele (this is what was the main-menu melody performed with). It's a lot of fun and it's very reassuring when someone gives kind words.

Always love games with a lot of polish, great job with this one!
Very good. Loooots of fun.
Really solid game! I like how you can choose all these different type of upgrades you can choose from. This also gives it some replay value, because now I can replay the game and choose different upgrades. I really like how you added all these different type of demons even though some of them behaved the same (I think?). And interesting to learn that there is an umbrella demon in Japanese mythology. Great job!
Very impressive game, solid enemies, power ups, variation, good audio, and graphics. My only complaint is I didn't get my bomb arrows and left clicking a lot is painful. Might I suggest adding a hold mouse down option to avoid needing to spam clicks.
What an extremly good entry! This was fun front to back, I first saw it on a stream and then went to play it myself. Good Job on this one!
This awesome. Love these well-done arcade-y games. The fonts could have a better resolution though. Also, the price of the sacrifices could be displayed near it.
Great job overall. My favorite game so far.

I saw this being played on twitch.tv/mrjoshuamclean and then decided to download and play it myself. It's really well presented; high quality graphics and sound for 48 hours. It's a lot of fun to play too and the upgrades all mix up the gameplay a bit. I played a couple of times to try out the different choices (triple arrows that bounce were my favourite). I don't think it works that well with the theme, mainly because this type of game is so fast that you don't really manage your health much.
As I said on stream, I bloody loved this!! From the very first shot, the animation and sound with firing that arrow.. it just felt good. I enjoyed the challenge of the bullet hell, and the mood was set with the visuals and audio all tying together nicely. One of my faves this far!
This game is absolutely amazing! It's so satisfying to hit opponents with arrows. Good job on this one
THIS GAME IS SO AMAZING!!! Its so polished good job its super amazing I feel like the fully charged attack should do piercing or something but other than that AMAZING

My favorite entry so far, the gameplay feel so smooth. One kind of game i will replay after the jam, it's really hugely fun ! Make it a full game : D Graphics are mood are amazing too, i gave it a 5/5
Cool art style but the vfx especially are out of this world. And it's a compo entry! Wow.The gameplay is simple but super efficient with that pinch of screen shake on top. Sound effects really fit the game and give it a deep retro mood. I'll have to check your other games. Excellent job!
What an amazing game! I have to rate many projects before the end, but I guess that I found my favorite project for this 44th LudumDare. I like how I can manage weapon buying them. The main aesthetic is good and you keep a black background so as to free visibility during hard fights. Clever mechanics. You did a fantastic 2d shmup. It could be a litle more hard for skilled players. Well done ++
What a great entry! The bow feels really good. It's a shame it does just 2x dmg when fully charged. Sniping enemies of is more fun than just spamming, but it doesn't seem to be worth it. The bullet patterns were neat especially cause I wasn't just circle strafing but had to actually dodge at least at the start as the game is a bit on the easy side, especially the final boss - I just just tank the enemies no problem as they were dorpping souls/HP left and right. The upgrades are great and do I wish I could try out homing bouncy triple arrows. Shame about the lack of music. A quiter version of the main menu loop might have worked.

I loved it ! It was a good idea to reset the life before the final boss because it would have been too easy (I had 500hp haha). I feel like certain combos are broken (triple bouncy for instance), but the goal of the game is to retry with different combos so it's not a problem at all :v:
