Spacebar Man by scottthoo 2018-08-12T15:39:26Z
Hahaha running out of spacebar! It was a little confusing at first, but eventually, I got used to it. Wonderful music and art!

Good difficulty curve. Also, wonderful plot.
I left a comment on the game page.
Art and music were good, but gameplay takes a bit to get interesting. Even then, it isn't very fun. A little variation would have spiced this game up by tons.
Intense game. I like the UI and the gameplay. This game is something I have never seen before.
@ad31 Yeah, I've used Swing before, but what I meant by UI was the layout of the buttons :)
I've never been in a relationship, but I have heard the stories of two people in a bed. GG.
Ooo a mobile game. Don't typically see those for LD, but it's nice. I like the concept of the game, and the execution was very phone-gamey. Graphics could use a bit of tuning, though.
@devon-l-steyn I couldn't run it either. I tried with "java -jar runnable.jar" and it gave me a message saying that it had been compiled already with a newer version of Java. To prevent this in the future, try making it an exe, or pack a redistributable version of Java along with the code.
@devon-l-steyn No, you're perfectly fine. I have heard about Launch4j, but haven't really used it. Which version of Java did you use? I might be able to play it.
I liked this game. I do wish you could go backwards, but then again, that's probably a game design choice. Medicine I think is too expensive, and it's hard to earn the money back.
I absolutely loved the foley btw, but I can't tell if your brother is saying "elu" or what.
@divy from my experience with the game and with what you have said, I can safely say that I didn't like the game. @snakemuho is right, the enemies go faster than you do, and that is most likely because you put player movement in Update() instead of FixedUpdate(). You have also responded to @jackou that you were "too lazy to implement a proper death system," meaning that a.) you did not put full effort into the game, and b.) that you more than likely had enough time to do so. This seems like a game that was submitted too early, but I can't tell.
Hahaha funny game! Gameplay got me to sit on the edge of my seat. Also, the art is a mix of intentionally good and intentionally bad, which is always a good combination.
Well done. Gets hard very quickly :). Game was explained well, and I had no trouble playing the game. I do wish there were some soft ambient music in the background, though.
Hmm. The controls are a little sharp. Also, I feel like the music could have been longer and more layered. I see your ideation, but the execution could have been more polished, especially considering this is a compo game.
Eh. I found a loophole where if you put two turrets on either side diagonally of the CPU, you don't need to click. This is allowed by the fact that the game is too slow. I would have enjoyed the game if it were faster.
VERY AESTHETICALLY PLEASING! I like this game a lot, especially because I play osu!.
TL;DP Meow.
Pretty humorous and fits the theme quite well.
@stellary Relocate puts the Bubble Point in a different location.
@zachw136 An N64 racing game, huh. Interesting take on the music :)
@ian-kettlewell + @dalbinblue Thanks! Yeah, I've been getting lots of people saying that the controls are inverted. I kinda wish I added an invert option now...
@mazzletov That was a though I had about the platform, however, I didn't think that was realistic with the "Don't run out of bubble" concept. Maybe if you respawned in a couple of seconds afterwards? I may patch this game afterwards to test the idea.
@scott-purcival + @bladesides Sorry to hear about the motion sickness! With the patch that may or may not go out, I will look into a better camera. I do agree that the stage shouldn't rotate, but the player should.
This is a really good strategy game! The mirrors were a little confusing, but it is a very innovative idea. Well made!
Not a bad game, especially because it was made in Love :) Although, I do wish the game was explained better. Took me a while to understand it, but eventually, it gets fast. Also, the walls don't always get pushed when I click on them.
This is good, especially for your first playable game!Music is great, and so is the art. A few of tips, though: 1.) The first set of jumps is too hard! Fix the jumping just a little. 2.) Maybe chose a different font? In unity, you can just drag a .ttf into the Assets folder and put it into the Font variable of the Text component. 3.) There could be some variation in the gameplay. I didn't get to see the whole game, but still.
Keep up the good work!
@htmichael how do you slow down?
@htmichael Those are new. When I played, there was no controls section.
Nice interpretation of the theme! Also nice to see some non-engine games being made :)
I need access to the file
Oof. Character moves a little slow while the ink spawns too fast. The broom is janky, and I can't tell how to sweep it.
