This is such an amazing idea, loved it. But isn't it to harsh - game over for only one good memory lost?

@Arkros Yeah, but I figured its really hard to miss one unless you arnt paying attention
I like the black and white look, it sets the mood a little even though it's almost all text. The idea of having the story develop as you keep going in the game is interesting, but I wish the gameplay moved a little faster because it felt a little sluggish to me. It would help if there were more different memories that came up so they weren't repeated so often. That said, a creative idea and an interesting interpretation of the theme.
Some pointers: - the tutorial takes a reaaaally long time (maybe an ability to skip it) - the tutorial didn't really explain that memories at the top fade if not clicked, you kind of have to figure that out by yourself. - off centered text is triggering me :P - very limited options (there seem to only be like 5 memories, would like to see more) - game stays the same difficulty (perhaps increase the amount of memories shown overtime, or make them fade faster)
Although those seem like a lot of negative points, take them as feedback and perhaps inprove on some of them, and your game will become really nice. The artstyle and concept of the game are quite nice :D
Very long intro, you might lose some players just because of that. When the text doesn't quite align with the bubbles it make looks bad. I think it would be more interesting take on the theme if you had to manage what to remember and what not to instead of instant game-over. Didn't get too far into the story to say whether it was good or not.
Takes a while to progress, if you have time to spare, play this. It's more of a click-sim than anything, click at the right time and the game will progress.
The pacing was very slow. I agree that there should be other memories. I also did not understand if I was never supposed to select a bad memory, which seemed like the point. If that was the case it did not seem like running out of space was actually occurring unless the brain would get full.
The game is a little slow at the moment, but I like the idea. It might help to add some variety to the memories, or have them appear many at once, or in different places, so you have to sort through which are good or bad.
i like the story telling, but its not going fast enought
best game ive ever played? no, not really. but, its a really feelsy thing, and I loved it. Its sweet and deep, and it really made me think about life.
Nice little game. Unique, simplistic art style and good message.Pacing felt a little slow and it could use some sort of background ambience or music. Great game regardless
Wow, thanks for sharing! I think the slowness builds up a great mood.
Made it to the end, nice little game, it is nice that you dedicate it to your dad and think on helping others.Could use a little faster pace specially at the start.ReMind.PNG
Great effort with a pretty uncommon idea  the intro is indeed pretty long as other have already listed.
man...this is deep, i should make more game like this lol, i love the game, it simple and very effective, everything about it just feels right, love how melancholic and mellow the game from the start to the end, love the bit story telling on the bottom, and the simplistic nature of the graphic is the icing on top, its simply wholesome experience, well done !
I like that you had a tutorial in the beggining of the game. I also like the general idea for the game, but I think that more memories should've been put into the game.
Thank you all for your reviews and feedback It means a lot to me!
I'm big on narrative games, touching if a little heavy, very thoughtful. Maybe something like selecting 1 of 3 options would have spiced up the gameplay a little, but I think I get that wasn't really the point of the game.
Liked it, hope to see more!
the game was nice and simple and could have used a little faster pace
This game was very good at building suspense with the black on white colors. Simple sound effects and a brain and thoughts being used as symbolism was great. Some ambient sounds could've really pushed this game into the "ultra-moody" category I feel so well done in that department.
While the slow text builds suspense it was way to slow for my liking and I grew tired of basically waiting for text to appear. The game in the background didn't keep me interested in the downtime between text as there wasn't much variety or much of a challenge. I'm sure there is an interesting story here but I couldn't bring myself to go beyond ~50 points.
It's a good narrative game with a few flaws, these are small issues and if you can iron them out you can make a really interesting story driven game.
@call-me-nutty thats funny though because you need at least 61 points to beat the game, but yeah the text speed and lack of diversity is a very big problem
I pretty much agree with everyone else: the intro was progressing too slowly and I almost lost my patience, sorry :(. most of my attention went into the graphics. This game is a prime example how program-art can be as good or even better than normal (eh) graphics.
The game is simple but effective. I would have loved to see something unexpected, random events or something like that. solid entry tho. good job!
Simple but meaningful. I was close to cry. It was great...
The game is super intrinsic. I love that. The tutorial is a little bit slow but I think with that tempo gives the player a reflexive perspective which is great. It is a very indie game in a positive way like conceive a game that is expressing deeply thoughts and a message far away from banal shooting or things like that. Congrats man. You have made Art :D .This types of games is why I love indies. Thanks!
@bichodust Thank you so much!
The intro text way waaay too slow. I think that it would be better if you were able to skip from one text to the other. Apart from that, well, I'll say, it wasn't really hard or interesting, just click on good memories and don't click on the bad ones. The same memories get repeated over and over make for a simply boring game. This is a good idea, if you would make the memories disappear faster, or make multiple at the same time, you would have something interesting and fun to play. This is a good start, but not a very good end product.
Sorry for all the negativity... best wishes man!
This was really touching and nice to see, thanks :) I love seeing narrative games in the Dare. Too often we get a lot of action-oriented and skills-based games, but we don't see a lot of story. It's hard to do in 48 hours (I know all too well). I think that there's too much time between the lines, sometimes you need more than ten points it seems, and that really calls attention to the fact that there aren't many different kinds of memories. I don't really see the theme represented in this game, other than as a fictional construct that bad memories take up space in your thoughts. It didn't have a real mechanical use here. Perhaps if there were a kind of capacity that gets filled up by bad memories but not by good thoughts and when that capacity is reached then you have nothing but bad memories in your thoughts and have to get rid of them by thinking good things or something.
I really like the concept. As others have said I agree that the intro was way too long. Gameplay was simple but I think there is a lot of growth and the storytelling is a good aspect to explore too. I wasn't a fan of the sound effects, they were a bit too loud for me. I can see this working as an aspect of a larger game, or with further expanded mechanics; different thought sizes, speeds maybe. gameplay at around 8 mins: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021##
