Nice style! :)
The lighting looks super cool. I'd have the stars cross in a single motion, the random movement isn't predictable but its still not very hard to avoid early. I had to intentionally lose for a bit to up the difficulty.
I felt this was more Drunk at a Discotheque than Star Destroyer, but the lights were pretty nonetheless. I lasted 154 seconds. Once you start growing it gets very challenging to forestall the inevitable.
When that player things gets bigger, the game's performance drops for some reason. Otherwise, nice game.
I really enjoyed the lighting for the game. All the different colors were quite pretty and the way the player casts shadows in every direction was cool. The start of the game was rather slow though (not loading time wise, but difficulty/things happening wise).
very cool light system , keep it up :) don't forget to check out my game too ;)
Really ncie graphics! The black should have attracted the stars
Nice great job with the lighting. I think that's what really makes the experience. You should add some background music and have the stars pulse along or something like that.
Great compo entry.
Amazing graphics and game, but it feels just too easy (or maybe it's just running slow on my pc, haha)
Nice lights there. Maybe you could rethink the theme, becouse those lights are beautiful, but they are not stars One issuse: I managed to get to around 120s by just standing in the center. At the end my score was around 180, and I didn't move much. And when you get bigger its practicly gameover, since you have no way of escaping the stars. Anyway, nice idea, cool graphics
This is a really pretty game. It was very easy though - around 300ish seconds it became harder because I got hit once and the lights kept getting brighter, making it hard to see where stars were. From then on, I only got hit because the entire screen was just yellow, and the stars were blocked out except for some white stars. I'm not sure if that extreme brightness was supposed to happen; it was pretty though.
Looking very nice and artistic, I appreciate the shadows effect.
The game should be a bit more dynamic, on my first try I had to stop after a few minutes because it didn't seem to get more difficult (I had around 3 million points). The player should move faster, and the stars could have some basic AI to make them less predictable and more dangerous.
Overall: nice idea and well executed, just not balanced yet.
As everyone has said, the game is certainly pretty. I felt though that this is a tech demo of the lighting engine, just with added collision detection and a score system. More could be done to make it feel like a meaningful experience.
Consider this: The rotation of the player character, especially as it grew in size, was very interesting to look at, and reminded me of a "void" or "black hole", and it was a little unsettling. Maybe you can work with that.
I love the lighting going on here, it looks really cool. The audio is a bit too bitcrushed for my liking. I think the game would have benefited more with some softer sounds. Nice idea, enjoyed playing it.
Simple but effective gameplay, good job :)
