This game is really good. The puzzles are perfect. The controls are (Mostly) great and there is a good amount of play time. Overall, good job.

meatpudding 2017-12-04 06:55

Nice scenery

geeitsomelaldy 2017-12-04 17:01

Fun game, but I feel it could have done more with the theme than it did.

xacur 2017-12-04 19:10

The puzzles are good and I think it's a smart idea for a game, but since it's based on physics I feel it slow, and you need a lot of patience. Good game overall.

gris 2017-12-04 21:15

Really smart idea, and the puzzles are challenging but not discouriging. Cool game. Congrats!

conorod 2017-12-04 21:16

Thomas Was Alone with physics and household objects! Really great idea and well executed! Only complaint was that it seemed extremely fussy about registering whether you were in the target area or not.

prostone 2017-12-04 21:19

Great puzzle concept, executed fine. I would probably like to have a little more faster controls with the objects, but that is just me, it works like this. Good job!

mazzletov 2017-12-04 21:19

Can't get past Level 04. Nice that it's challenging! This really a very unique concept.

2017-12-04 21:19

I didn't have the patience to beat level 4, but this is a really cool idea/concept. Doesn't quite mesh with the theme, and the framerates a bit low, but the mood/atmosphere is quite nice~

jcmonkey 2017-12-04 21:21

nice little fun game here with an interesting idea

move127 2017-12-04 21:21

Praise

A lot of fun. The difficulty curve is well designed. The graphics and audio work great together.

Suggestions

The controls feel a little clunky and unresponsive. I'm not sure how to fix them. I find it really hard to make controls in physics games like this. That is my only critique. I loved everything else.

thetophatnoob 2017-12-04 21:25

I found the puzzles to be well thought out and the music to fit perfectly. The art makes you focus on the objects and is surprisingly calming. I also really like liked the switching mechanism as it added a lot to the game. Overall a wonderful game.

rob-white 2017-12-04 21:30

Quite a fun game. The level design was great because on some levels it allowed for me to be a bit experimental with the solution (e.g. the coffee level, I decided to try and complete that level by wedging the glass in the gap instead and putting the balls inside). The music was also nice and generally gave the game a very cosy atmosphere. As for improvements, checkpoints maybe? A slightly more tight control scheme (everything feels a bit floaty right now but that could be the desired result). Overall a fun game.

darkgrisen 2017-12-04 21:30

Nice puzzle game!

vizitas 2017-12-04 21:36

Fun fact if you mash jump button with the coffee tin, you can fly

bastienre4 2017-12-04 21:37

I love the idea. Playing with physics is always fun. The music is sweet too. However, I think you miss some inputs (Update loop issue probably) because sometime I have to press Space 4 or 5 times to jump. Other than that, its fun to play :)

gistnoesis 2017-12-04 21:39

Really Nice physics engine. The puzzles are quite funny. The music is OK though it becomes repetitive. There are plenty of different way to solve a level. I did 10 levels and there maybe not enough diversity. Though I enjoyed the Jump level a lot. Probably adding more of those levels and less stack the cubes. Overall good original game.

chong-lee 2017-12-04 21:40

Wow that was so good! I had a lot of fun getting creative with some of the puzzles! Great game!

cocapasteque 2017-12-04 21:41

Really nice game, enjoyed it ! The music is fun too !

camcam-s5 2017-12-04 21:42

Cool puzzle game ! it's very interesting and i love the little music in the background, good choice !

colisan 2017-12-04 21:51

Wow, very good game here =O I spent a loooong time on level 9 and 11 =D

Only negative thing I see : The glass can't go into the coffee pot.

Great job, awesome entry

leffe108 2017-12-04 21:54

I like that I could play in my pace and take my time to figure out control and solutions on the problems. I think it adds to your game that there is no clock or rush to complete it. You got me addicted and I completed all levels.

farofa0 2017-12-04 22:27

Very Fun! You made a very good job!

drtizzle 2017-12-05 00:28

Wow, very well done!!! An easy to grasp concept, with clever ideas and nice graphics & music! There isn't really much to complain about. Because it is so good, I'm going to nitpick ;)

It was a bit weird that the A and D key _and_ the arrow keys worked on the horizontal movement, and the W key did not work for jumping but the up-arrow did.

Also the movement felt a bit sluggish. It would help if you would fiddle a bit with the physics and input settings (Maybe directly manipulate rigidbody.velocity instead of AddForce()). But then you would have to retweak all the puzzles, so you might want not to do that :)

Nice job!

holgk 2017-12-05 03:30

Nice puzzle game with physics!

gustavhehehe 2017-12-05 10:39

Well done! I like the concept of switching between objects and that confuses things a bit. I found the controlls a bit rough. It felt like sometimes I was giving input but didn't get any feedback on screen acknowledging it.

mrsnakeyohoho 2017-12-05 10:41

Interesting idea about control few objects! Good game)

sidewalksleeper 2017-12-05 10:44

That was... oddly satisfying :D Really nice job. At first, I thought it was too simplistic, but I was surprised to be proven wrong.

alex-bryant 2017-12-05 10:48

Might be just me but the web version is pretty much unplayable. I'd have to spam space-bar for 5 seconds just to switch object and jump was even more unreliable. That needs to be tweaked. Apart from that, control SCHEME was great and the concept was fun/clever. Audio was incredible, fit the game really really well.

AND I LOVE THAT YOU USED SHADERS! Now I'm not sure if you wrote your own shader or not but the outline shader was a nice thing to see. It could use do with being an image effect instead of a material/model outline to make sure it's just a shape outline. You can see the difference. On the ball it looks great because it's just out outline but on the books it goes to the back and it's as if you see through the model.

For the inputs, calculate inputs in Update and do the physics movements in FixedUpdate. Especially for GetKeyDown and GetKeyUp. If you don't press the key on the exact frame a fixed update runs with those two, it won't register. Had fun though even through all the struggle and the overall visuals were great!

grahamliphts 2017-12-05 10:56

Really smart concept, and special like for the music

tvance 2017-12-05 15:03

I was pleasantly surprised by the turn in level 3(?). I didn't expect to be able to control the book. I like this game. The music fits perfectly.

rolle 2017-12-05 18:56

Nice twist to be able to control the book, that made the game! But some work on the controls, refinement, would make it even better. Good work!

ditzel 2017-12-05 21:53

I recently changed FixedUpdate to Update on the input to make it playable for all of you1

alex-bryant 2017-12-05 21:57

@dfitzel sweet, looking forward to trying out the new feel after work.

mr-matt 2017-12-06 00:59

Very clever idea and nice music! Little nitpick, I would have expected the space key to be for jumping, so I found it incredible confusing. Maybe consider switching it for a different key?

regisrquoi 2017-12-06 23:21

It's a nice game. The idea is good. I feel weird about the third level (i think? The first one with the books). It's super hard and it gets easier after that ! '-' I'm not sure it fits the theme that well: for most levels, the more objects you have the better it is cause it's easier to climb that way. But some levels use this to fit the theme too (the more objects you have, the easier it is to make them fall and loose)

good effort with the music, too, it can gets annoying but i'm glad it's there. I wish there was some changes over the levels.

Also the number of levels is pretty impressive !

Congrats for making the game anyway !! =)

ditzel 2017-12-07 18:31

Thank you! Played ukulele for myself. You can't be a good game designer, programmer, visual artist and musican at once :D

fishbrain 2017-12-10 12:42

Nice idea, well executed. Slick! Well done!

paveldlouhy 2017-12-22 19:42

I am impressed. This is very nice and polished game. I like idea and music the most! :-)

tangiblegames 2017-12-22 22:46

Now that's an innovative concept! I first was terrified that I see something like the terrible "parking simulator", where you have to traverse the level and stop in some spot to complete it... And then I learned about physics and ability to control different objects! Very, very nice. The flow was smooth, I never got lost. I didn't like that I couldn't control some objects in one of the levels, while in the previous/next levels they were interactive. It was odd. The jumping physics could use some tuning, and again they were inconsistent between the levels (for example, the red book). But this entry is really fun to play.

mshopf 2017-12-23 16:00

Nice mood, graphics, music, physics. The controls are a bit sluggish.

I like this first levels being just like a tutorial, I don't like so much the fact that you don't really know how the level is constructed - the field of view is a little small.

All in all a very nice puzzle game. Presentation is also very polished.

kobrar 2017-12-24 23:41

I really loved the game, but the mechanics need more work. Jump is unresponsive, which is especially harsh for the level where you need to travel by fast moving coffee can. Also I stopped playing by level 19, because it was timed. The books would slide by themselves, and without means to rearrange them I just couldn't get myself to get up there. Other than that, a great little platformer! It has a shitton of levels, I have no idea when you had time to make those.

ditzel 2017-12-26 20:18

It has 20 Level. You almost made it.
