Pretty cute!!
The blipblaps were pretty endearing with a funky heffalump look. XD The turn-based was fun and entertaining. Audio was ok.
TIPS: I couldn't tell anyone had scored. Maybe a better sound or a single animation to feel a bit more victory? I'd like to be able to hold my position at the opponent's net instead of having to shoot or pull back.
Enjoyed it though!
LLLLLoooooovvvvvvvveeeeeeddddddd iiittttt!!!! I instantly got the them and you nailed it!
@Schu I saw you commented on my game from last year and wanted to check if you also participated in LD41. First of all, these elephants (?) look cute . I can't even pronounce the name "BlipBlapBall". I'm always thinking about Blip Blap Bloop.
Also try playing my game. It is a combination of Flappy Bird & Tetris: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flaptris-flappy-bird-tetris

@pandademic42 Thanks for playing! I definitely agree that the goals need a bit more juice. I thought the sound was unique enough to provide audio feedback and then a ball appears in the goal but if I had more time I would've given a lot more visual feedback to that.
@PadenPierry Thanks for your comment. :)
@Mazzletov Yeah I have no idea what the creatures are to be quite honest hahaha. But thanks for playing and I'll be sure to check yours out!

The graphics are really cool but the game is really hard. You can't really see if they shoot the ball or not and it feels a bit confusing. Other then that, good job!
Capture.PNG nice idea good graphics enjoyed your game

Really cool once you get the hang of the game, there is a stage in the game where both teams are playing advanced positions and you and the AI can spam the shoot to the net button till the match is over, other than that it's a charming entry!
Hey another soccer game! Pretty cool idea! I like the options you have as players, but it was a little bit unclear what would happen sometimes, especially when scoring, because the ball would instantly respawn so it looked like it was intercepted.

I really like all the random names for things. I agree that it was confusing when you score but the sound effect helped quite a bit. All in all, I found it pretty darn fun!
Good example of incompatible genres, the result it's that, soooo much turns to goal because the sports need more action (I think), it's a good concept, simple and funny, good work!

This was very fun and charming! It definitely fits the theme perfectly and is overall well done! I just wish there was some animation with the ball or indication of what exactly happens. I found it a bit confusing when I scored or they scored and the ball just went back into a players control. Overall well done!
I like the idea of turn-based football, and I enjoyed this. I don't think there was anything bad for a jam game, but if you wanted to improve it then I think feedback/information is the key. I know for other turn-based games I enjoy (e.g. Invisible Inc), the thing that makes it fun is knowing exactly what can or could happen, so you can plan ahead and weigh up any risk/reward to your actions. I know some games handle this with % chance, although personally I think it's better if there are defined rules. So in the example of a football game: maybe you can pass it through 1 opposition player but not 2, or you can't pass it through an opposition player if they are next to you, that sort of thing.
Nice theme interpretation, turn-based football : what a wonderful idea ! You did a game with 1 or 2 players during the compo, and that's an achievement. It lacked maybe some graphs, feedback, animations, but I think that's okay. Nice result overall.
Quite ok game but at first it was hard to understand the mechanics and when you try to snag the ball it sometimes does not work and you pretty much lose. Other than that the idea was good.

Cute game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 41 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrYzQfgK9hU

I loved how the strategy showed up as I played. At first the commands felt somewhat arbitrary, but playing more allowed me to learn what to do when. Simple to look at, easy to play, and surprisingly fun and competive.
Pretty cool game, the controls are pretty difficult to understand but when you understand them it becomes really enjoyable!
Although I did not like turn and soccer, I liked to see how this mix was made. I think the art could be more elaborate. Congratulations for the game!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.

Really cute! I love it! Making a turn-based strategy game out of a sport one is a great idea, good job ;)
Interesting, though a bit random. Would have been nice to display the % chance of success so it was more understandable what the risk/reward of each action was.

Interesting game! maby adapted to another thing than football could be great... and it felt so random, maybe sugest what your actions are truly doing or something!
