LD45 — Start with nothing

"Start with nothing" by Beetrootmonkey 2019-10-09T18:08:25Z

Thanks for your feedback, @mechwarrior99 and @spiritus! Yeah, I noticed that one often runs into the "deadly walls" (they're supposed to be spikes, but I guess that didn't translate that well lol, plus that only makes somewhat sense), even when having perfect vision on them. Either, because your character moved too fast, or because you couldn't differentiate them from normal, harmless walls. I'll definitely give them some kind of overhaul to make them more fair.

Love it! Graphics are top-notch, sound gets a little annoying after a while (my game has like 3 sounds and no music. I know how hard it is to implement proper audio), and everything seems to work fine. Very impressive that you're using your own engine, since I'm stuck with unity (I really like the capabilities it offers, but I am thinking about trying something more "bare" for the next jam).

Flappy Bird + Tetirs = FLAPTRIS by Mazzletov 2018-04-23T10:57:04Z

(Haven't tried the game yet) Have you considered building your game with WebGL, so you could let people play directly in their browser?

While I don't think your game is very innovative (I mean, you're literally taking two games and combining them), I really, really love the idea and how you managed to implement it. This clearly is one of the games that I will tell people about when talking about the jam.

Thanks for the feedback! I will try to look into your submission as well.

Yeah, it looks cool imo but it really is a pain in the ass, from calculating tile positions to autotiling (the black edges).

Thanks for your feedback! I added instructions and a description what I was going for.

I haven't tried your game yet (but I certainly will), but alone from the visuals and especially the mechanical idea behind it, it looks very promising!
