LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Systemout underneath by rodrigoalamo 2014-04-30T13:34:00

So I decompiled your game, to work out why it's not working and try to fix it, I suspect it's due to that you named your class 'main'. other then that there should be no reason it shouldn't be printing the 4 lines of text.

LD37 — One room

4thRoom by Lukesta 2016-12-12T10:58:00

Pretty cool, just the movement needs a bit of work. like if it would move with the platform instead of stopping and starting to stay one the platform

OneRoom by atclouse 2016-12-12T10:26:00

Didn't really know what I was doing, pressing E on things, pretty interesting otherwise

VacuumBot by Dvorgaz 2016-12-12T10:42:00

The green Radar line thing was really cool, definitely going to check out the source

BattleTub by NoobPete 2016-12-15T06:00:00

I really enjoyed how the shooting pushed the ship around, although when looking back to gain speed I couldn't see where I was going and crashed into lots of things. pretty cool though.

LD38 — A Small World

STEEL GEAR CHAOS by FireSlash 2017-05-02T07:19:51Z

Ahh yes, very cool.

took me a few minutes to finally understand what to do, with a few graphical issues, like that hook thing that places little people appearing under the weapons and sometimes only the machine gun showing up.

The hook people thing does seem overpowered tho, there is no prediction if you're pretty much telling the enemy where to go.

Some more feedback on what you have done would be nice, more then the text box down the bottom, maybe add like 3 dots somewhere what signify how many moves you have left this turn, and maybe something on the map to show you where you chose to shoot

For The Love Of Money by KunoNoOni 2017-05-02T03:37:41Z

controls and platforming were really good. I was surprised when i saw it is made in unity, did not expect a platformer with controls this good to come out of unity, you did well with the jumping and movement

I feel like more interesting levels would have made it a lot better, most of the levels felt very generic platformer

Routine by Breno_M 2017-05-02T03:15:39Z

cool idea, well executed

one thing that would help in the long run is a way to speed up days, there is a lot of waiting for the next day just so you can change their work.

maybe you could also have the government watch a street and if the rebels meet in that street something happens, just so it's like you have this planned out, but you have to change or delay your plans at the last minute

ATLANTIS by OccultOne 2017-05-01T09:02:42Z

Interesting concept, the art looks quite appealing

But I had no idea if what i was doing was well doing anything to progress the game or what Action or Interact did for each of the characters.

I did notice that if you have moved, then want to end your turn, if it was over another tile it would still move me, this also happened when the pop up was talking about the floods for that turn.

The sound for the flooding is very off putting compared to the music, which sounds great

SittingDucks by Iak 2017-05-01T08:33:37Z

Hahaha I love it.

It got so intense at the end, that giant black thing was coming close and I'm trying to make eggs like crazy.

overall slightly creepy but the ducks made everything better . I was unsure when I an egg was laid or even how to on my first playthrough, till I read the controls and saw down.

Aircraft Carrier Simulator by superchihuahua 2017-05-02T12:33:57Z

Very cool

definitely haven't see a game like it, i don't understand what sending the planes out really did, I kept sending them right to the catapults but the enemy was still getting closer (the first time i heard the catapult sound i got very spooked).

it would also be nice to see how many planes want to land, because was just clicking the land aircraft button.

I did find the game very slow paced, aircraft would go down and up so slow

Space World by lagoe 2017-05-02T06:55:47Z

I liked how your shots came from the moon, so you had to sorta think about where the moon is compared to you and the asteroid when you're shooting and the asteroid is getting closer.

One thing i did find weird was the controls, the planet seems like it was moving on it's own and was very floaty. also strange how you can swap to the other side of the screen horizontally but your blocked off vertically.

very cool though

Hibernaculum by redpanda 2017-05-02T01:05:00Z

Very nice looking, had a few issues with the movement around the snow globe. like sometimes the hand would be in front of where i want to go, so i had to guess if it was the right place to drop. had some issues getting the sword, the game stopped me from dropping there. the game looked very nice when it zoomed out and started rotating I really liked that part

A World of Death! by tompudding 2017-05-02T00:51:35Z

loved the lighting especially with the shadow from the umbrella, sometimes it was hard to see the kids. i died after the screen was flashing about, don't know how i was killed though, none was on my boat prior to the lights flickering.

being able to quickly switch between the umbrella deflecting mode and the hitting mode would have been nice, the delay was a little annoying as i couldn't stop things flying in while some were on my boat.

Overall just a few issues, but well done! I liked it

The Taker by Epicsoft 2017-05-02T08:57:17Z

I like the idea but i feel slightly confused as to what's happening,

the moving the camera using the castles didn't seem to work for me, it would move the the new castle then move back to where it started then wouldn't move again. i just just kept spamming units will I won.

a few times when placing my tanks they would take a shot and disappear instantly after getting places i have no idea what I was doing wrong there.

differently need to explain more about what each thing does, like why pick the castle if i can go with the giant castle, and like maybe have a minimap so I know where my tanks are going and shooting

Small Atomic World War by Kroute 2017-05-02T05:42:52Z

Cool game, I liked how the protons you picked up add to the overall shape of the atom.

I found that getting in the battles and shooting other atoms pretty useless, as the other atoms would grab the protons for a distance while you had to go over them, so any that I lost would go straight to the AI and any that I shoot off would go to another AI, ended up just rolling between each battle picking up the protons to level up.

Solar Smash by blacksheepza 2017-05-02T01:56:16Z

When you hit the planet it's really epic but a lot of the time I was hoping the asteroid would go in the direction i was aiming, like half my shots went right into the sun, I also didn't understand was was going on at first, just clicking on planets and asteroids with sounds like i'm doing something right going on. I also didn't realise how much power I would be adding to the asteroids a lot of the times it just didn't seem right.

Good looking and sounding game though

Small World Mining Company by paulhocker 2017-05-02T12:15:04Z

Very interesting, well made.

the first thing I did was spam space to make the block darker, i don't know if pressing space multiple times on the same block changed anything since the resources showed up after the first space, I also found the enemies that move around to be annoying, I didn't know where it was going to do next and died a lot from it

Binary Glitch by JOrbits 2017-05-01T13:22:32Z

Very Very cool, I like the idea a lot got. there was a lot of dying the first 10 or so playthrough but after some time I managed to get the hang of it.

So strange when you are running away from the red guys shooting behind you and their explosion kills you, it doesn't seem right. maybe if their explosions only made the block they were on black, while the others get half damaged so you can still walk on them, but if you kill another red guy nearby it would take out the blocks for a while while it regens.

Will definitely play this again though, good job. my highscore is 830.

Meteor Jam by PeachTreeOath 2017-05-02T08:33:07Z

Very cool, I liked how you didn't lose any progress through death, made the last few levels a lot better and easier.

I did get stuck in a hole a few times while jumping about and had to wait till an asteroid came and made a path for me to get out.

I felt like the wall jumping (even though it seems like a bug) helped alot.

overall well done, it feels like some of those flash games on kongregate which is good

Godly Corp. by Zeriver 2017-05-02T02:20:15Z

very cute, I liked it.

only had a few problems. I was having troubles keeping the planet's dots on the light it just kept on spinning out of the light and i had troubles seeing the difference between the red and orange blocks.

I did laugh when the bug got on top of the planet that was pretty cute.

Small Planet Tycoon by Querk 2017-05-02T11:58:58Z

I found the space each object took up to be a little annoying, like there was a gap between all of them, and other buildings could differently fit in there.

when placing some of the buildings it would let me place but nothing would be placed, and prevented me from placing something there, restarted the game which fixed it.

other then that I liked the management part, thought it worked very well and quite balanced

uP-8: Microprocessor by Spaceman 2017-05-01T23:24:48Z

Looks very good,

But near the start I had no idea what I was doing, even after reading the manual. Like no idea if the registers were getting set or anything, no idea what scn was returning or anything.

Being able to see what's in the register or like print out what's in a memory address to the bar at the bottom would have helped a lot just to understand what was going on, maybe showing the line that was getting executed as well. I set up a few arrays to hold distance to move and direction, then looping through and using jne and inc to check if I had reached the distance but the program kept going past the number I entered in the array. it was very strange to me

"It's a small world!" by szczebel1995 2017-05-02T07:59:52Z

very cool idea,

At some points i couldn't click on the person I wanted to, and sometimes I didn't really know who to go for or what the hint was asking me to do, had trouble with the 3rd level unsure as to who to click.

I think maybe there should have been some more easy/simple ones at the start, before you start asking people to click twice or wait some time

It's A Small System by notiiivan 2017-05-02T12:52:56Z

Very cool.

I found at the planets near the end of the solar system were passing each other much quicker than near earth and the passing was a little annoying if you're standing near the top or bottom of the planet and want to talk to someone, you find yourself on the next planet.

I did like the interactions between the planets, thorght that was pretty cool

M^3 (Moon Mining Manager) by KnightOwl 2017-05-02T09:57:19Z

The game was very confusing, took me a few tries to fully understand what was going on,

Especially since the UI didn't update when you bought the mining drones or when the mining drones bring in more resources. that added to the confusion since i expected something to show up/happen but nothing did, only showing up if I click on the building again

Cookie-World by Loktor 2017-05-01T12:16:52Z

i liked the whole idea behind the gameplay, got 20414 points

Was very easy near the start, but after a minute or so of being almost the size of the screen, when those muncher things started coming down faster and faster, it got a lot more fun,

You should definitely have zoomed out the camera as it got bigger so you can still see what's happening above and below the cookie

Island Guard by AnayK 2017-05-01T05:14:37Z

Very Cool. Managed to get up to 2480 points

I like the island destruction a lot!

In the end I had to start clicking with my other hand, there we so many it started hurting my wrist D:

I did feel like the enemies were taking way too long to kill especially with how many were on the screen.

If there was like a Day/Night thing, where you build up the island or upgrade during the day, and the onslaught of enemies come during the night. that would be a nice addition and a chance to deal with all those enemies.

Trindle Tabletop Experiment by vkmicro 2017-05-01T10:09:06Z

Differently interesting,

I enjoyed the riddles. feel like there should have been more!

The Biggest issue I had with the game was the movement. when moving around while next to something it would stop me every second or so which was very strange and that the game window was larger than my screen.

Also the Riddle text was hard to read, if you put them on that notepad paper it would make it much more readable and perhaps make it look a bit bigger.

4 Hours by Christian Koch 2017-05-01T11:41:47Z

I liked the concept but i felt it was very fiddly to use, like sometimes the objects wouldn't start moving even tho i pressed E.

Did have a few bugs, on the first level after the red block I started flying, it would not descend. only got down by using the pause menu, and after clicking play the level didn't load so i pressed quit and it pretty much froze my computer

I would definitely like to see this worked on more and a few of those problems fixed

A Growing Adventure by frankiesmileshow 2017-05-02T10:29:49Z

like the idea of revealing the map and the battle system was good.

but the times for revealing more of the map just seemed like more of a punishment then it should have, you lose some health and have to wait 20 seconds at times, also if you see those 20 second times you know it's an enemy already so if you want to battle them you have to wait that time, then if you have other blocks getting timed down at the same time as a battle those pause during the battle which is even more annoying them the tile destruction timer

Until the End by FernandoAdolfo 2017-05-02T06:06:33Z

very interesting. Played on webgl, was a little laggy at times but other then that everything went well.

I would have liked a way to know where everything one, like I didn't even realise where the kitchen or where to get water from was till my 2nd playthrough, a map in your cell could have helped. and maybe a way to run around would also be good, i was slowly dying, yet slowly walking to the canteen, then get told it's to late i should head back to my cell.

if you do work on this more, I would like more things to do then walk up to objects and press E

Floppy McFloppyface by Mars 2017-05-02T11:16:10Z

Had some laughs playing this, well made, didn't have any issues with movement or controls.

sometimes I didn't know what to do, but just walking around pressing space on things finally got the story to progress.

story was good although a little short, you should definitely continue the story of floppy McFloppyface

Room Number by Ayush Singla 2017-05-01T04:56:26Z

Overall pretty well made. Little more polish would have made it much better.

Just have a few issues, the first level took me a few tries because I didn't really know what to do, not realising I could move the box and the tutorial message dissapeard while I was reading it D:

Moving the box was a little wonky too, sometimes you could. other times you can't. was unsure on how far I could push it.

Music was also very very repetitive.

Hexoworld 9999 by Lugdumdare Team 2017-05-01T13:04:45Z

Played in single player and got a score of 5500. I liked how you traveled around the hex's and if you had a giant dent in your planet you had to go through that hole get to the other side

Definitely cool and very polished. Enjoyed the music/sound and art.

Only had a few issues, the starting speed is just a tad too slow, can't reach asteroids before they hit if I was on the other side. couldn't easily tell the difference between the hardened rocks and the normal 1 hit rocks. mainly using the audio from hitting those harder rocks to tell the difference and some times it was like, if only I shot to the right a little more I would have hit that asteroid,

Overall I like it, well made. and those power ups made me feel great, zipping around the planet shooting 6 bullets, compared to the start.. much cooler.

Could do with more enemy types (unless I didn't reach them) :alien:

RC kitchen Throwdown by oxrock 2017-05-01T12:37:15Z

It was like a horror game :fearful: you can hear the dog coming up behind you but you can't turn around to know how close it is. it makes me all tence D:

I could not find anything that would distract the dog though, it always seemed so close. And when the dog hit you I felt that there wasn't much you could do.

Also that Dog is strong as! was trying to escape it near the fridge, next thing I know the fridge is on the other side of the room. I was freaking out.

having the ability to move the camera around would have been nice, just to see parts of the scenery to know where to go next

Skylets by Dink_Dunk 2017-05-01T23:56:58Z

Cool game. animations and idea are definitely cool.

the few problems i had with it are getting stuck in the cracks, very very annoying, during the last level when looking for the escape pod I was just blindly jumping not knowing if i would be in a place to land on anything or if I was heading towards the escape pod. also unsure what those pickups do, is it just for score?

Could definitely do with a a way to get unstuck and move around easier, that part felt a little off. also what were those people on the planet's doing? asking for tacos and money, it added to the slightly weird vibe the game had

managed to get a score of 94, falling through the cracks a lot

Incidental Dimension by wildmusketeer 2017-05-01T10:40:20Z

really cool effect, can't wait to check your source code to see how you did it. while playing i was trying to think of the way you did it...

One thing i didn't understand is what the projectile things do? like I avoided them but with the few times I was hit by them nothing seemed to happen. and I don't understand why they would turn into the yellow dots after hitting the magnet.

but other then that, very very interesting, good job

Global by AndrewJAdams 2017-05-02T01:27:48Z

I really like the controls, how you drag by rotating the planet, the difficulty curve was good untill like 45-55 planes were spawning quicker than I can find. but the different plane types were good.

One thing you should do is when there is an alert slow the game down and make it easier to find planes without paths. like a button on the side that will center you to the plane.

I also got lots of alerts from newly spawned planes that spawned from airports that another plane was just landing at, was a little annoying having it flash up then disappear. and when clicking on a plane i would get disoriented as it would rotate the planet around so my left before may be up now, couldn't find a few airports because of that

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Foundation by Chaseplays 2017-12-04T06:15:27Z

Simple and well executed. It's like those games that come with windows. Easy to pick up and you can play over and over

Public Opinion Monitor by ayame9joe 2017-12-04T08:35:41Z

Yeah I had no idea what was going on, felt like those button in the bottom right did something but couldn't tell what, definitely looks interesting, if only I knew how to play

Chaos Dart by Elodeon 2017-12-04T07:48:21Z

Confusing graphics and map visuals, the only useful power up I found was the weapon, the other ones just felt like they didn't do much. was cool though

Escape by henriksoderberg 2017-12-04T07:13:34Z

Well done, the gravity worked well. I feel like the controller were a bit weird but overall pretty good
