At first I thought "what a basic twin stick shooter", but after a while I found some clever innovations: 1. you shoot through walls (i.e. just like a photon) which makes for asymmetric gameplay; 2. you don't see your bullets, only the light bouncing of other objects.
One thing: it looks like enemies are teleporting towards me. Is that intentional behavior?
So to sum up: solid entry.
Player seemed to keep moving in a direction, and invisible yellow orbs hit me for damage... not sure if this is as designed or not. Regardless, this was an enjoyable game. Nice music as well.

I don't know anything about quantum mechanics, but I think I got the gameplay elements pretty quickly. Interesting concept, controls work pretty well, but it got a bit boring after a while.
Lekker gedaan man!

This reminds me of one of Sebastian Lagues Unity tutorials. I like the the changes you made though, keep up the good work. Check out our game if you want, here is the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
Nice concept with the particles only being able to be seen when observed. I did find a degenerate strategy, though, where I could just camp a corner with relative immunity and focus on a small firing arc. Nonetheless, great job!

Loved this game. Gameplay was awesome and the music behind it really fit in the environment ... There are some things I would change ... the first thing I would change was adding limited bullets (you could get more bullets as you killed your enemies .. or they could just regenerate as time goes by). When I discovered that I could shoot forever I didn't released the left mouse button until the end.
There was some small bugs I found .. for example .. if you write a big name for the highscore (like 20 characters) .. it gets ignored and your score doesn't appear. You also get in the highscore if you do 0 points... I would change that also.
Besides those small things I mentioned the game was very well made and very fun to play. Congratz :P

Pretty nice - I liked the 'god' view - reminded me of old-skool isometric games. The game got a little repetitive after a while, but overall really good!

This is such a great idea! You only see you enemies when you look at them - I've never seen this done before and it works well. Your chosen theme of quantum really fits the jam theme. I feel like this gameplay mechanic would lend itself well to a horror survival game... The camera view is great, and the controls handle very well. The gameplay is a little repetitive, especially seeing as I found a way to put my self in a corner and enemies could only come at me from a certain angle (see pic) making it very easy to survive. Cheeky of me, I know! Quantum.png

Very interesting take on the theme! the gameplay is somewhat basic but it's fun for a while. In the end I came up with the same strategy as @shamps and it was quite easy from there... until I tried to go to the very corner and fell out of the map :) ouch!
The font is very difficult to read in the popup texts (at least in WebGL version, FullHD screen with Chrome), I'd suggest changing it for a more readable one. Some animations for Mr. Higgs would also make the game a lot more alive, I think.
Overall nice job!
The theme was met really good here. The green text at the beginning was unreadable so you may have said this but it looks like you had a mechanic in the game that kept you from standing still. But enemies would appear under me and cause instant damage. Great start and use of the theme!
Top down shooters are not my genre but I liked the concept. Because I was getting ambushed, I resorted to just swiveling around constantly, until I discovered the same safe spot as @shamps, but that got boring after a couple of minutes ;) So sorry for hijacking your leaderboard ;) I'd add a little variety on the enemies, maybe have some static ones that can only be seen when standing still or moving enemies that are seen when they are not in the field of view, etc. :) It was fun, very nice entry!
I guess it's how the world ends, huh? Not with a bang, but a building block of the universe getting tired of their non-life and taking matters in their own hands :P The gameplay is quite hard; i never found the exploit found by @mordokai and @shamps, so i always getting ambushed by enemies i can't see and too hard to kill; maybe either make the "light bullet" hitbox bigger, or make the protons(?) spawn less and/or have their entrace telegraphed The graphics are alright; pretty basic, but it shows what needs to be shown. And honestly, with the literal scope this game have, i doubt it's a bad thing. That said, a neat entry! would love to see this expanded more :D
Nice idea, cool entry. thumbs up!

Good game. Fun and challengeing :)
But this green font, in case of small text and low resolution, is hard to read :(
Interesting mechanic that keeps you on your toes. I would suggest revising the text, the green contrasting against the grey background was a little difficult to read in the web version anyway.
Cool game.
I liked the object lighting and the explosion effect when particles were destroyed. Fell off the map a few times. :) Overall, fun, and a creative use of the theme.
I enjoyed playing this but not being able to see my projectile made aiming a bit hard. Took me a while to get used to having to rotate to check all sides all the time but I got the hang of it towards the end.
Side note: this text was hard to read on my screen for me, maybe try a different font? hardtosee.png

A very basic game, but it has an interesting premise with only being able to see enemies when aiming in their direction. The game plays nicely, but the fun quickly wears off because of too little variations in the gameplay. I could see this mechanic developed further though.
