dude, santa is an asshole
Nice sound effects... not sure what the collecting sound is bahha graphics remind me of ski free i totally dig it
Neat game. I really love your graphics. I'm not sure if its my computer, I'll find out soon as I test more games, but it was very difficult, lag wise, for me to play.
Very nice use of contrast and colors. Sounds were nice too, I also enjoyed the console message lol
I forgot how much I hate walking.
This was a fun little adventure with a puzzle that threw me for a little loop!
I'll just leave this game open all day
Thank you for starting us with 1000 health. that skull though. Spectacular music and style !!
I shouldn't have taken a sip of beer before I began this game... it is now on my screen. I did awesome! I lasted 55 minutes of the work day, I can't imagine going that long without taking a pee.
what is that spray paint looking thing
super fun
so glad my socks just get lost
that was rough they start wanting rooms so fast, probably a little easier on a device mousing a bit clunky but super fun. I really like your menu system with the shifting scene
so hungry
<3 have you seen my childhood
So much going on! I loved setting up my room and watching the people do their thing while listening to the awesome background jam. I wasn't expecting all the production options! I enjoy your characters and their movement with the objects
I definitely tried to shoot behind the wall on the bottom, got thrown forward and lit up real good. Then I saved the lady. I felt like a total badass rolling up on all those ninjas and blasting them. This one was fun, I hope more rooms appear for amelia in the future.
flucking spiders! this game is gloriously entertaining
that bomb tho
I like the red one. I just smashed until I moved and collected a green.... but then I couldn't jump to the next node and I couldn't figure out how to quit(other than f4 duh) so I really felt like I was in another dimension!
Dude... I haven't been that scared since I played D back on sega saturn !!! Nooooiiiiiiiiccceeee
wAPHABH Nice zombs definitely starts to heat up.
I was all like, how'd he get to those screen shots. Then i figured it out, very intense at points! My mousing was off a little bit, but I adjusted and had a good time.
Super fun. I spent the first minute trying to claim corners... until I realized the other colors were splurging all over me and I decided to hit space bar. Then I destroyed all.
That was fun. I like how much the guy slows down when you pick something up, I found myself trying to take short cuts and then getting stuck on conveyer belts wasting more time >< I love your music and sounds, and graphics are super pleasing
freaking beautiful. your core dash mechanic is money
This is terrific. I was obsessed with dig dug when I could first reach the keyboard, and I don't think I've had this much fun digging down since then. Your sprite and animations are a joy to watch!
I can't believe I just enjoyed throwing my head at people. The physics of your head is really fun, I got it stuck a few times. Great graphics on your main guy and the people! The screen shake is very well executed with the gameplay.
This game makes me feel smart. Did you write each of those levels, or are they generated in some way? I love the challenge and your music loop is pretty catchy, especially after a good amount of time collecting batteries and not overloading!
Very nice looking game, the physics are fun too! I also enjoyed your music, its a nice balance to the surprises of the lightning. I might have jumped the first time the kite flew towards my face
This is beautiful. Nice big bold pieces. Fun take on a defense game, if only the crumbs and crap came from one direction in real life!!
I love the aesthetic you've created. Beautiful and clean. I'm not smart enough to provide people with power very well ><
Now I feel old like these people! My hands hurt. Your graphics are superb, perspective everything!!
I'm a huge fan of your available achievements. It was really exciting to get the KINDA FORGOT achievement. Thanks for reminding me of how fun text adventure games can be, you did a great job of implementing the responses and animation.
Your generator concept is a sweet take on running out of power. I have some experience making sure generators don't run out of fuel, so this one hit home for me haha. Well played! Good balance in having to get back in time, and avoid the night beings!
I think I tried everything. I'm gonna bookmark this for sure I like the idea, and the console execution!
Your rectile is spot on, awesome! I also like the archer and bow concept floating in space, nice take! Your pixel art is really intriguing, im drawn to the seemingly blur
All the pretty colors. Your loading screen cracks me up
I tried to make the wanderers appear out of the tents, but they kind of just appear on top of them. You don't get a warning before the wanderer's appear, but they do make a sound when they appear. The thought was that they randomly wake up and look for the commander to ask a question or something. Also, I'm not sure if its only on my computer (not very powerful), but the lights don't always appear for the sentries outside the walls or the wanderers. But the light collisions are still present, this can make escaping very difficult ><
I developed this with Godot https://godotengine.org/ its pretty awesome and I'm learning C++ so I hope to be able to contribute to the engine in someway. I'm running linux on a cheap ssd machine and have had a hell of a time trying to get lwjgl installed and running, ( I know java best... but not how to make efficient games with it) I think I might have tried to use libgdx a little to early in my code adventure, so I haven't really looked into it in a while. Unity and Unreal just hate my computer.
I'm really happy with how Godot allowed me to very very very quickly test my ideas, I didn't quite have time to learn to compile the engine with my own C++ modules, so things are a lot more clunkier than I would have liked and had imagined so I'm definitely going to pursue this venture further. I wanted to test the game on the toilet so exported to android and I figured out the touch buttons, but found I was getting stuck with only the cardinal directions, so I added the diagonals last minute and don't think they're reading smoothly for some reason.
I wanted to have the boxes stackable, so you could only pick up one at a time, and then bring them all together at a wall for them to "stack up" so you can escape... which is why there is a drop option. so if you're carrying one box, but you come by another one that recently had a wanderer show up near and decide you need to grab that one before that area becomes to dangerous.
I forgot to adjust the amount of power given by the batteries, so they're pretty op, but if you wait/hide for 10-15 seconds you'll 'die' from running out of power.
I'm real shitty at AI so I just have the wanderer's pick a random direction for a few steps.
I tried to create a grid system, but I couldn't wrap my head around it at the time and didn't have time to individually create each level to ensure stuff wouldn't instance colliding, but I decided to take a creative leap for the sake of time and use the story as my scapegoat for the inability to escape every game. Its not always a good morning to escape the camp!
The wanderers were supposed to randomly spawn from a tent entrance after you pass it, and if you collided with a tent while carrying the box, the box would drop. This is still in my code, but I broke it somehow and forgot to look back at it ><
I also pictured the little HQ thing in the corner spawning in different places, and being more powerful than the batteries, but I forgot to up its power and after all the issues with the collision and boxes, I decided to leave the saving grace in a safe zone. I put in way too many batteries for this to serve any purpose. I imagined it being where you'd go to gather some energy to collect the last box and maybe swing by from time to time to get a boost, but you'd have to be quick because the wonderers would tend to want to wander around this area.
I really want to get the lighting polished in this, I had a ton of fun making it!
This is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugely timely and made me rofl a bit. Your scrolling text was very well paced..... I did get fired
I like watching your objects move. I'm terrible at placement in these games, but I seemed to be doing pretty well placing gnerators!
so much replay!! I love every bit of this. especially you're sprites, everything is so small and so clear its incredible. sounds are superb as well
Particles and pretty sprites, such a delight to the eyes. I like how hard it shakes when you're exploding your chest
I'm excited to get back to my computer for this dual wield!
POWERBEAR is a pretty neat looking bar. I wasn't expected the people to be rigidbodies, that was pretty funny. I really like the look you've created
You did an awesome job balancing the mana and the mana generator things. I ran out of mana twice, looking at the dang thing, before the third time saving enough mana to make it to it!
Sweet jams!!! I like how quickly you have to get to the batteries, reminds me of flying a drone getting it to do something neat and then.... the battery dies
this game is so peaceful. I forgot that I could jump over a block and push it the other direction... I pushed it off the other way a few times first
Thank you helicopter! You have some pretty neat mechanics here with the lights falling down, the sounds, and the helicopter!! I enjoyed the experience, I think your design has a lot of potential
Super engaging and intense. I don't think I've really gotten that frustrated at myself for not paying attention to colors! I feel like I should play this game to wake me up in the morning
thanks for the protip! I had a lot of fun trying to navigate my way up, especially with the little double jump on the platforms. I was greatly affected by the dwindling light supply, particularly towards the end of my energy! The sense of urgency caused me to falll alll the waaay baack dowwn. Sweet game
nice butthole! I don't know how many times I jumped off the top of the rock, gliding as a cat is fun for some reason. Your grass is fricken great man, and what happened to the lawn chairs????
Super fun to control Hungry Harry and jump and climb and BURP. I'm not very good at it, but I had a blast playing. Your sounds are awesome, I actually turned my speakers up.
That third cookie though... I'm enthralled by your artwork, beautiful paintings. The cookies are pretty funny as platforms for a battery. I also thoroughly enjoy the concept of a battery running away from being used.
This reminds me of that time over years ago when I threw my SNES controller against the wall!! Your music soothed me, and the frustration didn't build to that level. Your world is siiick
