1_drakoshi_net.jpg Ahah South Park )))
Someone beat me to the obligatory South Park comment xD I very much like the visual aesthetics of this game. I think one thing that would be nice to see would be a little bit more contrast between the lighter fluid and the rest of the world. Very fun!
This was a pretty fun game! Reminded me a little of Devil Daggers without the infinite ammo. I spent a good bit of time playing it, I loved the gameplay a lot, and the lighter fluid idea I thought was pretty nicely tied in with the theme. Though I feel like after a point the enemy counts get a little bit ridiculous, overall good work in my eyes!
What a strange look and idea for your game. I very much wonder how you came up with flicking cigarettes at ghosts with the theme, but I'm kind of glad you made this. It felt very much like a bullet hell game, and I like you you mixed things up with the ghosts that make a loud noise and run at you, though I think you could have added more attack patterns like that to make it more interesting. Slow moving circles can only be interesting for so long.
I had to chmod +x the executable to get the mac build to run, but it does work. This is pretty hard, maybe I'm just not good enough, but it's kinda cool.
This is some weird shit. I like it.
Also it runs fine on Linux, but there's no audio. Not sure if there was any audio in the first place though...
Thanks for the feedback guys and particularly about the Mac and Linux builds. There is indeed audio. And I've run into that problem with Mac builds before. I'm not sure how to fix them, and the game was built on Windows and intended for Windows.
I will try to see what I can do about those other platform issues in future games.
Thanks guys!
Does not work on OSX :(
Did not work for me on OSX. Even chmod +x'ing like @hippy-dave suggested didn't work. What might help is disabling "Mac App Store Validation" in Player Settings ("Edit->Project Settings->Player->Other Settings"). I really want to try this game because it looks awesome!
God, this looks weird. I love it. 10/10 for originality - haven't seen something like this yet.
So the gameplay itself is pretty simple, but fun. The controls feel a little unresponsive since I'm used to higher aiming speeds, but it's not that bad. The graphics are really cool, but the sound effects lack impact. They feel like a small clicking noise when they should be a 'woosh', if you know what I mean.
By the way - I played on Windows and everything worked fine. You might want to make a WebGL build for Mac or Linux users.
I can try a WebGL build and I can try the Mac Store Validation. Thanks.
What do you mean by higher aiming speeds? Did you adjust the sensitivity?
EDIT: I've added a WebGL version that seems to have some minor issues. Please play the Windows download if you can! WebGL should work fine to check out the game though.
cute concept! I would have loved this a little more fast paced and intense.. But that might just be me. A+ for fun and mood :D
Great entry!
The "shooting" felt really good, I was able to hit targets from pretty far away, the jetpack also felt nice to get out of a pinch. Some enemies spawned immediately on top of me, which didn't feel great. It was nice that the fuel gravitated to me so I didn't have to focus on touching it. The melee ghost's audio queue should be audible from further away.
Thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately there are some issues with the spawn system as I wasn't able to balance it great in the time allotted. There is actually one wave sort of mid-way into the game that is straight bugged - they all spawn right on top of each other instead of spread out across the play area - and I wasn't able to fix it in time either.
Thanks for playing!
An interesting and weird setting, that's always nice to see. Fun too, but I do have one major input issue with it.
You see I'm not a fan on clicking. Holding down the mouse button to ~~shoot~~ flick, even if slowly, would have suited me a lot better. The rapid fire mode runs out *so quickly!*
Well made nonetheless. Quite enjoyed the strangeness.
Wow, this was weird and I love it! For some reason, it reminded me of Duke Nukem 3D, and I don;t know why.
Love the aesthetic, the combination of realistic arms and cartoony enemies is very alienating. Also the lack of music makes it even more spooky, so thats a plus in this case.
It would've been nice if there was some kind of feedback when you hit an enemy, and the constant clicking gave me RSI so it would be nice if there would be another mechanic for that.
Overall very well done!
I loved the aesthetic, ghosts were super cute! I liked the short rapid fire mechanic as it pushes you into combat, creating a nice positive feedback loop (reminds me of the new Doom even). As others mentioned, enemy spawning is a bit broken and I died a few times because I couldn't find the last ghost.
Very unusual game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiayEbHjWUc
