Good effort, instructions weren't the clearest but figured it out straight away.

Good effort, instructions weren't the clearest but figured it out straight away.
The game is just too easy. It's frantic I suppose, but the ball needs to speed up over time or something. Maybe shrink the batteries, or the width of the platform. The phone battery connection isn't that significant, because even at 100% the game wasn't even remotely difficult. It's a cute idea though. Just needs...more...
@taffaz Thanks ! Yes the instructions was the thing in the 10 last minutes, sorry :/
@nintendoeats
The ball speed up over time and the width of the platform diminue decrease ! It's just about time to have a good curve, there is even gaps if you go in the last gap, the size of the platform will be a line and the speed of the ball increase indefinitely.
How far in point did you go 1000 ? 2000 ? If you can go 3000 you must be really strong x) !
I'm pretty sure if you go futher the game gonna be harder, like really hard.
But I must admitt, I got an issue where the size of your phone make the game easier or harder ! (Gonna be correct in a post LD version)
Fun game. Like games where you have to do multiple things as the same time. It as easy but i will play again when my battery is charged ;p
The game mechanics were quite clear even without instructions. I played on 4% and didn't have a cord with me, so I had to stop quite early. I love the theme interpretation and integration of the power level into the game.
The idea of the game itself is quite uninteresting and not really too much fun.
It looks good. The fact that you made it for Android in itself is an innovation. Also, the idea seems to be pretty new to me so kudos for that...
Hey. Just played your game. Fun and cute concept.(The mute button didn't work on my phone :P Probably a glitch on my side) Anyhow! Really fun and unique. Can't wait to see it getting changed from Unrealeased to released. Good luck and congratulations!
Huuuh! An andorid game, sure is rare to see games for mobile devices made for LD! Very cool! i just happened to have an andoird **Overall game impression:** Pretty simple and straight forward, very solid gameplay, didn't encounter any bugs and mechanics were obvious and easy to figure out without a need for instructions and such. Works well and could make for a great time killer on a phone. Good job! I really do like this game.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Better sound effects, maybe different balls which have different flight speed and such. Just to change up the gameplay a little bit.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
This was a really creative interpretation of the theme. It would be cool to see that idea fleshed out into a bigger game.
I just saw that you used Processing, nice! I used P5.js for my game.
I liked the idea of having multiple things to do simultaneously, that kept my interest for a while. My best score was 401! I would have liked a small text bubble saying what to do at the start though, as I had to refer back to this page before I could play. Good work nonetheless!
Definitely an interesting take on the idea, using your phones actual power level as a game altering mechanic. Also, having two things to do at once is always a neat thing on mobile because of the multi-touch input available. Good job on putting up what you did!
Played it with about 30% battery. Unfortunately for me, I found the game okay, up until the 450 mark when the platform started shrinking considerably and by the 500 mark it became about the size of my little finger so balance is definitely something that needs to be worked on. Having to replay the 1-450 score is too frustrating a punishment and discourages me from playing again.
Using the battery life is a very interesting concept, congratulations! I would've liked for it to be even more present in the actual mechanics of the game, but it is suprising enough this way.
Having to micromanage two things helps maintain the attention span, but as others have pointed out, the difficulty scaling being in the size of the elevator only may not be the best decision. Maybe the ball speed, or multiple balls for a bigger multiplier, increasing the micromanagement factor. You may take inspiration from complex versions of Arkanoid.
@AzureByte few informations to help play in better condition : You can control the plateform on all the third part of your phone. So in this example it's on all the green zone not only the red zone.Capture22.PNG
Also there is few thinks to improve in the game, like the point system if play at low battery you gonna need way more time to have a high score because the calcul for the points are : (% of battery * nb of frame since the game begins * fall's speed of the platform) / 10.
@Everyone Thank you everybody for your remarks. It help me a lot for the next version of the game.
I'm gonna do a tutorial with the same begining for the first try. Then the game gonna become harder way quicker because one of the problem most of you point out is the fact the game difficulty come too late and it seems just frustrating to play it again.
Maybe one of the idea can be to give objective (like 60 seconds) and levels with differents difficulty in the same way Super Hexagon did it !
Thanks everyone again for your positive judgements and your feedbacks. This type of game is always hard to balanced especially in 48h.
Nice graphics, got a score of 342 :D
Nice game :) Neat music and cool concept. The thing that we have to controle the platforme and tap on the screen to collect the batteries is just a little odd, maybe you could make it otherwise, but the game is cool nonetheless. Great job :)
I really liked the music, good idea using Google!
Very cool concept. Good job!
Simple and fun concept. You can improve the movement control also add some extra features. Willing to see the post Ludum Dare version.
I scored 437 with my battery at 30%. The graphics and music aren't incredible, but the game is really fun and innovative. I really enjoyed the idea of being focused on the batteries and the elevator. Well done!
Nice game brah!!! I LOVE IT!
Nice concept! The music is cute and the game is addictive, but I don't know if I am good at this game. I only scored 371. Good job!
It seems to me that the game lacks rewards. I have to constantly run away from losing, it's tiring.
Simple but challenging game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwlGq7uM8W4
Where do you make such great qr codes? With different colors and a logo inside? I found a service where only standard qr codes are created.
